I promise to eat something, drink some water, and touch grass after this postā¦ I just love puzzles and Taylor Swift and her Easter eggs and music videos because theyāre so I spy and puzzle codedā¦ I just canāt help myselfā¦ the spray bottles themselvesā¦ The bodies are the same but the heads are oriented differently which could mean a lot of different thingsā¦ possibly in alphabet soup waysā¦ and possibly political ways, etc.
But since the whole LGBTQ pride colors and symbols seem to kind of be a key of sorts to this puzzle. I think we have to pay attention to the colors on the bottles in that same context. Teal and orange in the OG 1978 pride flag stand for āMagicā and āHealingā respectively. The Opalite bottleās label promises āmagical results;ā I donāt think thatās a coincidence.
Iām sure magic and healing were meant as good/positive things for the LGBTQ community back in 1978 by the dude who designed this flag, but in Taylor Swift worldā¦
She likens herself to a āmagicianā and an āillusionistā with ābait and switchesā who ācan show you liesā A LOT, especially during Reputation and some of her later songs like Cowboy Like Me and Wood.
In her āBut Daddy I Love Himā lyrics āhealingā and ābeing savedā arenāt really healing and being saved. These things are being done by āthe Sarahās and the Hannahāsā at church while theyāre āclutching their pearls and sighing what a messā āI learned these people only try to āsaveā you because they hate youāā¦
Back to Anita Bryant with the Florida Orange Juice companyā¦ from the YNTCD music video (and I think Anita Bryant is also referenced again in Taylorās Fate of Ophelia music video) and Ms. Bryantās āSave the Children, Heal the Gaysā campaign.
And we know that Opalite is man-made and fake, itās not worth anything compared to the real thing, Opalā¦ (Iām not good at transitions but just stay with me here)
Nowā¦ moving on to the Nopealite bottleā¦ Itās hot pink and yellowā¦ according to the OG 1978 Pride flag, hot pink = sex/sexuality (which is kind of, arguably the whole point of all of this)ā¦ and yellow = sunshine/lightā¦ (side note: Taylorās shirt is also hot pink and yellow in the mall scene and it has the āhang in thereā poster kitten on it-not sure what it means but think itās notable).
Back to the spray bottle, Itās label says it āreverses opaliteā. If Opalite was really a āmagical healingā potion, why would you create something to reverse it? Youād be healed; no one would choose to āunhealā themselves.
In reading the epilogue of the music video, Nopealite took Stapler back to reality and showed him he needed therapy to really heal.
Also the whole music video looks very dimly litā¦ and I think itās a metaphorā¦ Thereās a veil over our eyes, or weāre in a closet away from the windowsā¦ This isnāt reality. Nopealite takes you back to reality so you can shine light on your problems and really fix them the right way, not by turning yourself into someone or something else.
Lastly, opalite looks like murky orange juice in the sunlight, while real opal looks like a rainbow š
