radiostatic is bloody alive and here's a little reseach WHY.
I'm still processing the final, and there are some real disappointments, but radiostatic is blowing off my head. they exict, they're real and no one can convince me otherwise. I have recorded so many voice messages to my friends by now that I can actually make a 10h podcast about radiostatic being radiostatic.
> first of all, it really bugs me when I see all those posts like "alastor didn't like being touched CONFIRMED" and it leads to "alastor never liked vox CONFIRMED".
1. sO? have we, radiostatic nation, ever believed they're gonna sing "the rest is easy baby" and hold hands? that would RUIN their entire dynamic. BabY, they are demons in hell
2. the fact that he didn't like being touched in the bar scene is considered as abuse. c'mon now, has alastor said "don't touch me"? in the bar he tolerated this. vox cannot read his fucking messy mind, okay? and Im like 100000000% sure that with the dynamic they had vox would've stopped and apologised for at least 5 times. he was so gentle and nervous, he had feelings for him. really? abuse? oh please
3. do we normally believe to a 100% degree every statement someone makes about themselves? do we normally believe all the shit alastor says? Im not arguing and saying that he actually didn't mind. but.
3.1. he COULD have embellished things just to see vox's breakdown and generally make things worse for him since this is something al enjoys. there was his little voice reaction in the bar, but WHO exactly MADE him tolerate vox? rosie? god himself? seriously, he's a grown-up man, a demon in hell, he can protect himself against touching. especially he could in the bar. and as some people mentioned, alastor did EXACTLY the same thing with touching charlie for so many times. and he not only interfered in her personal physical space, he entered her room and lay down on the bed. THIS deer-boy was not able to tell vox to back off? so what stopped him?
3.2. there's always something we might misunderstand about ourselves. it's not like alastor has incredible amount of people to whom he was close at some point FOR SEVERAL YEARS, nor is he a guru in self-reflection and emotions. in fact, he most likely sucks at understanding them. his heart and soul reacted SOMEHOW. he WAS NOT in love. it's far too much for alastor. but he let someone get close, almost as a friend, that is more than enough for a person who he is to freak out. he wasn't ready to accept this and still isn't. vox has to be pushed away not to scare The Great Alastor by making him feel something even remotely human-like.
> secondly, alastor now is finally free from his deal. he has never existed in hell as a free soul, and now he finally does. he can go anywhere and do whatever he wants, but instead this deer-boy says "finally a fight with you which might be challenging". hello everyone, he enjoys it. ofc he wants get his revenge for being humiliated, but this is their game and the table has just turned. and alastor is more than willing to play.
> thirdly, alastor is involved in their relationship. he is a serial killer, a criminal, who seeks ADMIRATION. he, my friends, basically feeds on vox's emotions. he has stressed it so many times that vox needs him, but in fact it is reciprocated. vox is obsessed. but alastor fucking loves it when someone is able to estimate the merits of his crimes and shemes. he's performing. even rosie calls him a demon, but vox? all the way was inspired. al says that vox couldn't help himself but touch charlie. and he just couldn't help himself but show off. look here, vox, how nice I fooled you, it was so beautiful and worked. and vox so easily involves in this and gives alastor that he desires -- pure admiration.
in fact, it has been discussed in bbc sherlock and in nbc hannibal. in first one, in the taxi driver episode, sherlock explains this nature of serial killers. they want to be caught, he says, to be noticed. and also hannibal is obsessed with will mostly because will GETS it. he's the only one who can understand, appreciate and admire.
and this is what vox is to alastor.
> fourthly, alastor is emotionally involved, I insist. he lights up like a branch from fire. with lucifer he's calmer, but okay, he had a concract. but with rosie and this mindgame of theirs he's calmer too, even when nothing holds him back. and vox? all this scene, charlie had such an expression on her face. she was frightened at first, but when she just run away. because how weird it must have looked from the outside. and even when alastor was tied up, they forgot and didn’t notice other people because of how involved they were and facinated with each other. but then it could have been manipulation. now, you say, he’s also manipulating, by talking to vox as if everyone else doesn’t exist in the world? oh, the two of them just don't give a fuck. they resonate with each other deep inside.
and alastor can't help but feel it. he might not understand this yet, not admit, but his soul and heart are motionless, and vox somehow moves them, brings dynamics to the static. this is faaaar away from romantic or friendship or any represented human emotions. this is about something more inner and deeper.
now they can be equals from alastor's real perspective, who is released from the deal and does not feel offended by the fact of obligations.
and THIS is radiostatic. energy, electricity, internal impulses and resonance.
stay tuned. ❤️💙
and that's the deal, my deer (c) shakira
