New Beginnings
When I come here to write, it's always during the dark times.
Well here's to a new chapter where I will no longer immortalize the suffering.
I will capture the excitement of new beginnings to look back on when the glow has faded.
Because these days are the best of our lives even if we don't yet realize it and I want something to remember them.
So here's to a fresh start, to newfound love, and to a brighter future.

Just Another Day in Paradise
He calls me late at night. His voice dripping with alcohol and promises. Promises of your love and our future. Promises of commitment and loyalty. Promises that we will be the perfect little family I've dreamed about. I listen to them all and for a moment I believed you like the fool I am. "Just come here tomorrow and we'll spend the whole day together down at the river. It will be perfect! Come here early in the morning and we'll go. Will you come?" I agree to this foolish plan, deep down knowing it will only end in disappointment. So I wake up early and start the three hour trip back to you. I try to call you but you don't answer. It's really early though so I try not to let the doubt creep in. The drive is almost over. I'm almost to your exit so I try to call you again. You answer this time. My hope is soaring. Maybe this will actually happen! Then I hear the tone of your voice. No longer dripping with excitement and enthusiasm for our perfect day. No promises now, only excuses. You tell me not to come, and that you'll call me later. Well that's it for me. Even if the call does come I can't go through this with you anymore. I'm done falling for your false promises. That was your last chance. Another day wasted on a hopeless boy.
It's like he knows exactly how much is just enough to keep me hanging on.
But I'm starting to feel sick from the motion of this rollercoaster.
I either need all of it or none of it.
I'm sick of this half-ass bullshit.
I told him I was in and I am if he is.
But he can't seem to commit himself.
This love will decay and rot just as quickly as it grew and bloomed.
If he can't make up his mind soon I will take that choice away from him and end this ride.
You know it would be easier to find someone if you were more open to the idea of children. Why don't you want them anyways?
In order to answer this question I've done tons of research on the reasons other people use to stop these endless queries. It's expensive. I'm never going to feel financially stable enough to support a child. That new life will then become my life. But truthfully I'm terrified that they will inherit whatever is broken in me. That they will never feel truly happy and their world will be as dark and depressing as mine. And I couldn't bear to bring that onto another living soul. Because no one deserves this.
What if we're in purgatory right now?
What if the next choice you make is the one that sends you to heaven or hell?
