Today I wanted to show you a redesign of a book cover I read some months ago. The book is a classic romantasy story about a princess from the Summer Kingdom who is forced to marry this cold and handsome king of the Winter Kingdom.

The book was okay, it didn’t change my life, but it made me sad that lazy design of the original cover. It’s not about it being ugly or not (it is a bit) but that the people who designed it didn’t make any effort. Moreover, they whitewashed the main character, and after reading the book and knowing she was pretty brown I decided to make this book a favor 😂🙏🏻

I had fun painting this. I have always dreamt about designing book covers and this was a funny exercise. I hope you like it 🥰

The other day I finished book 3 in the acotar series and so far the second one is my favorite so I painted a scene from that book. I reimagined them as in those Korean drama scenes where she looks at the sky and says “wow so beautiful” and he agrees while looking only at her 🥴🥴
