some people will be like “I wonder why fanfic writers don’t share their works anymore😔” and then this is them when a writer is kind enough to share something they write — as a hobby, for their own enjoyment — with them for free.
some people really don’t realize how privileged they are that they get fanfics for free. imagine having access to something for free because someone is kind enough to share it with you… and then being rude, entitled and an ungrateful pos to that person who was kind enough to share their creation with you for free
“almost 1 year is a lil too much for me” fuck off. fanfic writers don’t owe you anything. one of my favorite fics was updated after 13 years, and what I did is that I thanked the author for choosing to continue the work, I didn’t act like a spoiled toddler by asking why they didn’t update sooner. and even if a writer chooses to abandon their fic permanently with no explanation, that is their choice, their hobby, their decision. they don’t owe your entitled ass anything.
you people let tiktok rot your brains to the point you see everything as content farm and engagement. not a piece of art created by the artist’s love and passion. it’s dystopian.
Thinking Thoughts about Simon shyly giving Kamina a Father's Day card one year
He's a little nervous about how Kamina will react and if he'll think it's weird since they are so close in age and Kamina prefers to cast himself as an older brother, but Simon also knows that Kamina raised him just as much as his first dad and that deserves to be recognized
Obviously all of Team Dai Gurren loves Kamina and in Dying is Easy they all want to show their support for his recovery. In a modern setting I'd have his hospital room full to bursting with flowers and get well cards to show this, but I'm not sure what to do in canon verse. Would flowers for a sick person even be an established convention? And with how desert-y the surface is, they're probably not easy to come by anyway.
Oh, or! Since Team Dai Gurren has gathered members from all over the place, they all bring different get well customs with them. So the area around Kamina's bed in the medbay is overflowing with origami flowers and clay animal figurines and little bone trinkets and scraps of embroidery and mini ganman models made out of spare parts.
Kamina's too fragile and the medbay too small for everyone to come visit him all at once (both before and after he wakes up) but every member of the team has contributed something so that Kamina will know they're all rooting for him.
Lance may be off-screen here but that won't save him from getting speech'd at by Kamina, who's so busy giving a speech he slipped up at the end there and gave away what his personal emotions on some matters in Lance's life are
