Gurren lagann singing headcanons. What do we think XD
A vista I once gazed upon, of modest tranquility and modest hopes. When those things are crushed, man will rise up. The hope they possess, as well as their stage of evolution, calls forth tremendous power, and man does battle. And they learn the terrible meaning of despair. People ask themselves: "Why do we fight? "Why do we kill?" "Why are we overthrown?" They go to their graves never learning the answers. It is this that is "happiness" for people.
Here is Genome’s backyard cookout! I always wondered what Lord Genome would be like in an alternate timeline. I thought he would make a great bbq dad! This was my first time drawing food, so that took me a lot of time to figure out.
Total drawing time: 22 hours
Comic wip

The intrusive thoughts got to me...
I think people don't talk enough about the Spiral Nemesis and how it's not entropy because of overpopulation, but how the Spiral Nemesis is actually a full on war between spiral life forms that ends up destroying the universe, how Lordgenome himself would've been prone to this and the own strenght of the Anti-Spiral was the one who ended up probably saving the universe, and how the fears of the Anti-Spiral got confirmed when he used his power to give himself and just himself a good life on an earth that was barren whilst oppresing and resenting his own kind, like i understand he got convinced that the Anti-Spirals were invincible and a good future was impossible even with his own power, so he chose to break the rule of spiral power by creating creatures that would enforce a will that comes from despair, fear and defeat, the Anti-Spirals touched his soul and it got to him in the end.
Returning to the Spiral Nemesis i think that the Anti-Spirals were this enforced idea of entropy and giving up against the weight of mortality and the usage of will as a sustainable motivator, it's a fearful oppresor mentality that goes all the way from what they saw as "Destiny" but was nothing but a dark path that every being was at the risk of falling in. It's such a good perspective on the argument that human nature is one of violence and selfishness, weighting it with fate on itself.
Finally i love how death is out of the whole Evolution vs Stillness, the series understands that inmortality is something that humans aren't meant to feel, we saw how fucked up Lordgenome and the Anti-Spirals got on it, it expresses the end of life as this natural process that even in the wake of death, serves a purpose at great scale so the universe on itself can exist peacefully.
I should finish my homework
