thinking about the girls' love languages and i don't actually think they're the same in giving vs. receiving.

zoey gives love through physical touch and quality time. if she loves you, she's next to you. she's hugging you, linking arms, pulling you onto the couch to watch a movie, insisting everyone goes out together. she wants to share experiences with the people she loves.

but i think zoey receives love best through words of affirmation. she's the type to laugh things off and keep everyone's spirits up, so hearing "i'm proud of you," "you did great," or "i'm really glad you're here" probably sticks with her longer than she'd admit.

rumi gives love through acts of service. she notices everything. she'll make you tea before you realize you're thirsty, remember your schedule, fix little inconveniences before they become problems. she takes care of people almost instinctively.

i think rumi receives love through quality time. not grand gestures, just someone choosing to sit with her while she reads, helping her cook dinner, existing beside her after a long day. she doesn't need constant reassurance. she just wants someone to stay.

mira gives love through physical touch, but in the most unconscious way possible. she leans on people, reaches for a hand without thinking, falls asleep on your shoulder. she's never making a statement, she's just comfortable enough to let herself exist in your space.

i think mira receives love through acts of service. she's independent enough that she rarely asks for help, which makes it mean even more when someone quietly does something for her anyway. bringing her food because she forgot to eat, fixing something she mentioned once, remembering the little things. that's the stuff that gets to her.
