Satsunade: Amusement park date
It was a normal day like any other, besides the date plans Natsuki and I had made about a week prior. Now that he had a day off, we planned to go to the amusement park themed around Piyo-chan and all his friends. I was excited to go to the cute place with my cute boyfriend. I knew it would be a blast with Natsuki by my side. I got ready in a yellow themed outfit I had picked for today so it would match with all the Piyo-chan merch we were bound to come back with. I left my house quickly after and headed over to Natsuki and Syos apartment. I heard Syo whimpering inside so instead of knocking, I grabbed by spare key and walked in. Natsuki sat at his desk while Syo was frantically searching for something, not even paying attention to me. Walking closer, I saw he was actually composing something. I wrapped my arms around him and he tensed up, standing and almost throwing me off of him.
"?!?! N-Nacchan?? What's wrong?! It's me! Kanade!" I tried not to yell as my feet were off the ground. He suddenly stopped and put me down. When he turned around to face me, I quickly realized it wasn't the big, smiling, kind giant Natsuki I was used to. Instead it was Natsuki's face but a threatening aura, wrapped together with a frown and slanted eyes. "...S-Sacchan...". Now it made sense. While I was always happy to see Satsuki, today was my day with Natsuki.
"We can't find his glasses." Syo said from the other room. I looked down and sighed. I knew how dejected I looked but even so, I tried putting on a smile.
"Guess I'll help look. We can always go another time..." as I said that and turned to enter Natsuki's room, Satsuki grabbed my arm.
"You were going to the amusement park... right? I looked at him in confusion and nodded my head. "I'll take you." Syo and I were both shocked.
“You really don’t have to Sacchan!” I waved my hands around and kept smiling but I knew he saw right through it. “I’ll just stay here and help you find Natsuki’s glasses for whenever you wanna leave.” His grip slightly tightened on my arm. Not enough to hurt of course.
“No. Let’s go.” He pulled me along and we left Syo in the apartment as we went to the train station. The train wasn’t too packed so I tried to keep a small amount of distance from Satsuki. It felt strange to move away but I also knew that Satsuki wasn’t the touchy type. The train was smooth and we were going along fine until a couple of stops before the park. A ton of people started boarding the train and I was starting to get squished. That was- until I was pulled up against someone’s chest, with their arm wrapped around my waist. I looked up to find none other than Sastuki. He glanced down at me as well, with more of a glare then the confused stare I was giving him. “What?” The space around us seemed to get a little less cramped as he said it. This was a really new feeling. Somehow, even if it was the same body, Natsuki and Satsuki’s touch were completely different. Natsuki's touch was more light, and gentle, as if he thought I was glass and was afraid to shatter me. Satsuki had a tighter grip and it felt really protective. Even so, he was still as gentle as he could be with me. Everytime he would grab me, I noticed that the grip he held was always different than what he began with. Right after grabbing me, he would always considerably loosen his grip. A small thing for sure but it made me happy to think about how Satsuki did slightly care for me. I held onto both the metal bar and Satsuki until the train of sardines unpacked at the amusement park. From the very front you could spot the gigantic ferris wheel that was in the center of everything. I really wanted to go on but Satsuki probably wouldn't. Satsuki started walking in front of me and into the park, wondering into a random direction. My eyes wondered to all the attractions surrounding us and finally landed on a cliche giant stuffed bear. I stopped for a second to admire it and looked back to see Satsuki out of my sight. Even with his height I couldn't spot him in the sea of people. The would seemed to slow for a second as I panicked. I looked at every spot around me, until I heard a couple voices approach me.
"Wow~ you're cute huh~" One of the voices said.
"Are you here alone? Or are you here with your friends?" The second continued, looking around. In front of me were two men, roughly around my age. They were kinda cute but obviously douches and I already had a boyfriend. Of course I couldn't just tell them to fuck off as much as I wanted to. I was too scared and nervous to utter a word.
"Hey, how about we ditch this place together and go somewhere more fun~ huh?" He reached for my hand and I took a step back. "Come on babe, no need to be shy." He reached out again but his hand was grabbed by someone else's. I assumed it was his friend being a good person and telling him to back off but I followed the hand up to a familiar pair of green eyes that glared at the two men.
"Oi, who do you assholes think you're touching?" This Satsuki, while familiar, had his murderous aura tripled. The guys instantly feared for their life.
"O-Oh! Is this your girlfriend?! S-So sorry man! She j-just...looked l-lost! A-And we thought we would help her back! That's all!" They then walked away at a quick pace, almost running as Satsuki sighed heavily. His face was annoyed and almost worried. He looked at me with a look I could only imagine from someone as stern as Tokiya.
"What are you? A kid?" He scolded me. I nervously put my fingers together and looked up at him apologetically. "You're not a kid anymore so don't get lost." He then stuck his hand out. It was empty so I looked in confusion at what he wanted me to grab. "...Why are you just standing there staring? Take it."
"What else could it be? It's my hand you idiot. Take my hand." It took a minute for it to fully process what he has said. When it finally hit, my face got a little red.
"You want to... h-hold hands..?" I asked nervously. Although small and hard to spot, Satsuki's face got a small dusting of pink embarrassment. As I was about to reach out to grab his hand, he grabbed mine. It wasn't holding hands as much as it was he really just GRABBED my hand. He didn't even give it time to adjust as he started walking. With our height difference, even if I was taller than the average girl, he had longer legs, took bigger steps, and was walking pretty fast. As a result of it all, I was getting dragged behind him. "Sacchan!" I called out, but I guess he didn't hear me. "Satsuki! Wait!" His steps slowed to a stop and he looked back at me, lightly panting. "C...Can you slow down a little..? I'm getting left behind here." I pouted. He looked at me like I was annoying and turned away. We started walking again but I could actually keep up just fine, even getting ahead of him at times. I didn't know where he was dragging me so fast but on the way there were stalls upon stalls of games for stuffed animals. My eyes hovered on a couple that were cute, but only one really caught my eye. A cliche giant teddy bear at the bell ringing game where you tested your strength. I pulled on Satsuki's sleeve. "Can we go over there really quick? I want to try and get the big bear!" I pointed over to the bell and he sighed. We walked over and the man immediately started talking to try and convince us to play.
"Whaddya say? Give it a try?" I shook my head and went to grab the hammer. It was heavier than I thought. The goal was to hit the bell and get the bear- it was the only thing in my mind. When I hit the machine, I watched as I barely got the light up to my knees. "Ooohh, tough luck little lady. Does your boyfriend here wanna give it a go?" He passed the hammer to Satsuki who looked at me. I gave him a smile and shook my head.
"It's okay. He doesn't have to. He's not even really my..." my words faded to a sadder tone. That's right. Satsuki and my relationship... what was it exactly..? He tolerated me and accepted me for someone who loved Natsuki. And I loved him, because he was another part of Natsuki. It was one sided love, and a mutual respect. My thoughts halted as a bell rung and bright lights flashed. The booth man's jaw was hanging while Satsuki stood up straight.
"Now give her the giant bear or you're the next thing I'm hitting with this hammer." The booth man happily obliged and handed me the giant bear.
"You got a real keeper there lady." He sweated nervously. Satsuki grabbed my hand again, intertwining his fingers with mine this time. I looked up at him who only stared back at me, his eyes less squinty in anger than before. A smile just naturally came up to my lips as I half confidently whispered,
"I do." We left the area soon after and played a couple more games. We didn't win them all like the first one but I had a few new small plushies to add to my bed. We rode the carousel and Satsuki looked hilarious on the unicorn next to mine. The best photo I got of the trip, although he was NOT amused. Finally we arrived at the ferris wheel while sharing a big bag of cotton candy.
"You want to get on... right? Then get in line." He nudged me behind the line filled with couples and families waiting to see the view from the top. After a few minutes, our time to get on was up. I put my giant bear and other friends on one side of the car while we sat on the other. Our hands weren't together anymore and we looked at opposite windows until we got to the top. It was a really pretty view and I almost felt like I couldn't take my eyes away. "Oi. Close your eyes for me."
"Eh? Why? This is the best part!" The familiar big hands I was holding earlier covered my eyes. "Hey! Sacchan! What the hell?!"
"I told you to close your eyes."
"Fine! Fine I will!" I pried Satsuki's hands away from my eyes and looked at the darkness in my eyes. He turned me so I faced in towards him and sat there for a second. "...I'm going to get embarrassed if you keep staring at me like that." His hand came up to my cheek, cradling it gently. "Uh... Sacchan..?"
"Shut up." Then my lips touched someone else's. It was familiar but again so different and new. The same body but a different person. Oh- oh my god. Satsuki was kissing me. He kissed me. This... what did this mean? I already thought of him as my boyfriend from earlier but... but he liked me too right?? Right? My mind was flustered as I sat there with wide eyes. When Satsuki pulled back, his entire face was red and he was almost... pouting. It was such a cute face. "Why did you open your eyes? Close them idiot." He was embarrassed. His hand came up to cover his face but I pulled it down and pulled him into another. I felt so much relief being able to feel this way. Being able to express my love for him like this for both of his sides. We went home exactly how we had come. When I checked my phone before we reached the appartment, I had almost a hundred missed calls from Syo from throughout the day. We stepped into the home where Syo eagerly waited for us, handing off Natsuki's glasses and going off to relax with a special female friend in the livingroom. Satsuki and I sat on his bed for a moment, not really saying anything. I learned up against him and he placed the glasses on his bedside. Before I knew it, we were laying on the bed and I was engulfed in his arms, hearing his rising heartbeat.
"...Sacchan..?" I whispered up to him, but he placed his hand on the back of my head and pushed me back into his chest.
"...I...I don't want to leave yet." His hold on me got a little tighter. "Stay like this... a little longer."
