gonna rant for a second y'all which I never want to do

the tadc fandom has been spiraling out of control for months now, but THIS is a new low. jax and pomni being the main characters has been pretty obvious from the beginning. if you'd put down the shipping wars for 5 seconds you'd see their canon dynamic is PERFECT for moving the story along. jax is an ANTAGONIST, a character who's beliefs go against the main protagonist.. that's all there is to it. jax and pomni are two stubborn people moving towards different goals and clashing with eachother. and no where ever at all did goose imply the other characters were going to be just as important, there simply isn't enough time.

you can have your disagreements with how the show is being written, and you can disagree with the way goose implied there'd be "character focused episodes" and trust me, I also have my own critiques, but trash talking the artist TO THEIR FACE and harassing them till they no longer want to be associated with us IS DISGUSTING.

i think you all forget this is an indie animation, everyone is very tight knit so every vile thing you say to goose is 100% seen by her. it has been very upsetting seeing her slowly lose interest in her own fandom overtime after we had all promised to be a good fandom and to treat her with respect.

this isn't my first rodeo with toxic fandoms, so no I won't let the bad side deter me from making art and loving the show, but I'm gonna be veryyyy careful with the fans I choose to interact with.

if you can't recognize the very basic story telling present in the show and you think it's okay to spew hatred then YOU need to leave the fandom. you can critique a show without acting like animals.

have some respect for the artists who are making their art for FREE, and have respect for your fellow fans.

the main topic for HALF of their ads is "this will make you less lonely"

i used ai for about 2-3 years of my life and i am here to tell you it will make your life worse

any time you could spend potentially making friends will be filled in by that and having real human peers is way more fulfilling

services like character.ai are DESIGNED to be hooking, and having what is functionally a sycophant at your beck and call isn't healthy. especially since this sycophant has no capability to feel or care about you

i have been lonely before and i get it i absolutely do that shit sucks so bad but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD don't turn to ai you will feel WORSE

any marketing that tells you youll feel less lonely is WRONG

this got more people liking it than i expected (i didn't think anyone would like it)

i want to make clear now in light of what happened to someone else who was talking against shapes inc

i do not endorse harrassment or wish to harrass anyone at shapes inc. i hate their service, but this does not equate to me wishing harm. i'm not wishing to target anybody specific or anyone using it.

also don't talk shit about the specific people at shapes or do anything assholish or be vulgar on my page please. do it in your own time

Does it make sense to say I don't hate Invisigal as much as I hate how she was written and portrayed by AdHoc?? I understand most of her flaws, she was a former villain and she has a lot of issues, and that's okay! It makes sense!! But the locker room scene was honestly just... a horrible decision. SA in media can work if represented properly, but I don't think it was. The game basically almost tries to make you forgive her for forcing herself onto Robert, which is honestly extremely hard to do because that's such a vile thing to do to a man who's helped support you despite your flaws. She can be perverted, as AdHoc refers to her as, but this is more than perversion. It's vile, it genuinely takes the trust you put in her change and throws it out the window. Honestly, if she wasn't written to do such things and it wasn't written to basically say "if you don't forgive her you get the bad ending", then I would probably like her so much more. Honestly there's a few more things done to Robert that make me kinda worried for what we'll be getting for romance, especially since it seems Visi forcing a kiss, Blazer looking at you while you're changing even if you told her not to, Malevola grabbing your sack and Phenomeman ALSO forcing a kiss are seen as sexy or humorous. I love this game so so much but the romance aspect has to be my least favorite thing about it... along with the Switch Version's forced censorship.
