The big reveal isn't until April 11, but if you signed up to create a gift, assignments are due April 4, 11:59 p.m. UTC. Not sure how to fulfill an assignment? Check out the guide below the cut!
How to post:
Start a new work or open a draft. If you have an open assignment, you can select it under "Does this fulfill a challenge assignment?" This will automatically add it to the collection and gift it to your giftee. Alternatively, you can go to your AO3 dashboard and select "Assignments". Find the gift assignment and select "fulfill". This will pull up a new work page that you can fill in as usual. The work will automatically be gifted to your assigned giftee.
What if my gift is complete, but I'm still making edits?
Go ahead and post it anyway. It will not be visible until the collection is revealed on the 11th. Until then, you can continue to make edits!
What if I am not able to complete my assignment?
If you are no longer able to fulfill an assignment, you can choose to default. This will let the moderators know so your assignment can be fulfilled by someone else. You can do this by going to "assignments" and selecting "default".

Is there a word count minimum?

How does this work?:
Participants will sign up to make one Kanan/Hera fic and/or artwork in a range of ratings they are comfortable with, and will be assigned a giftee who requested that rating/medium. (Example: If you sign up to make art or fic with ratings G-T, then you may be assigned someone who requested G rated art, or a fic of any rating).
Assignments must be posted to the collection by Saturday, April 4th.
Regardless of what you offered in sign-ups, you may choose to make anything on your giftee's requests (Example: You signed up to make G-rated art and matched with someone who asked for G-T fic or art, but you loved an idea they included so much you make them a T fanfic instead).
If you cannot finish your assignment for any reason, no worries at all! Life happens! Please default by going to your AO3 assignments page and clicking the "default" button on your assignment. No additional contact or explanation required! If you default, you may still get a gift, but you won't go out as a pinch hit if your creator also defaults.
Will the collection be anonymous?
No, as we are a smaller fandom, authors will be revealed as soon as the collection opens!
Can I edit my gift request/offer?
Yes! You can edit your sign-up on AO3 until sign-ups close on February 21.
What are treats?
Not sure you can fully participate? Or do you want to make a gift but not receive? Treats are a wonderful option! Anyone can make a treat gift for a participant (provided it meets their requests for ratings and does not include anything in their Do-Not-Want list) and add it to the collection at any time!
Rules
You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
The gift you create must be new and created for this event and exclusively for your giftee, at least 300 words long for fics (no upper limit, no limits on treats).
Your gift cannot include any element that your recipient lists as a DNW (Do-Not-Want) or ratings they did not request.
Archive warnings and non-Kanera background relationships are opt-in only - do not include unless your giftee lists them in their requests.
Gifts/treats cannot be created with AI.
Shaming/harassment of any participants or their works/requests is not permitted.
Please comment on your gift within one week of the collection opening (sooner is appreciated!)

Nighttime on a spaceship was a matter of general agreement. There was no reason any one place on any one planet’s cycle had to dictate the clocks, but if they didn’t agree on something, crewmates strangled each other.
And so at the designated hour, the lights dimmed, the climate control lowered the temperature to save on fuel, Chopper powered down and the organics slept. And if one of the organics happened to wake like Hera had, there was no sound but the steady hum of well-maintained engines and the gentlest hint of Kanan breathing next to her. When it was this quiet, she could almost hear his heart beating.

The party was in the event space adjacent to the Coruscant Airport and Hera could see the planes flying in and out just like always. Except today, she wasn’t the one waiting for the signal from air traffic control. She was on the ground, sipping champagne.
“Can I still call you Captain Mom?” Jacen asked, joining her.
“I’ll always be both,” she said, drawing him close and kissing him on the cheek. He let her for a moment before pulling away. Jacen, at 11, had gotten tall in the last few months, almost as tall as her. With Kanan’s genes though, it made sense. He would certainly keep growing well past her height. Kanan joined them, clinking his glass against Hera’s.
“How’re you doing?” he asked, always attuned to her moods.
