I tried doodling a beach Craig to join the cause (?) because I often see folks joking about it, and it might be my best attempt at drawing a man hahaha, but now I'm too embarrassed to color and post 🙈
Doodle of my beloved Cammie! 💖I was looking at how she smiles in her sprite and I thought, what if she has bunny teeth... So I tried drawing her with them.
I finished remaking Craig's back and front sprites (with his initial/Future outfit) 😌 (Well, I still need to add his helmet from W7, but I need to find a reference of its back haha)
The best part of making these sprites is that I can give Craig his actual expressions haha (Since in W10/W11 he borrows Danny's expressions asdfgh)
I'm a bit exhausted from ArtFight, so I think I will quit early...? We still have one week left, so maybe after a little rest, I'll be able to throw a few more attacks... But I managed to doodle 45 attacks, so I'm happy. 💖This year was fun, and I think I drew more than my first two years combined, so yay!
Anyway, today I doodled a small Craig x Lygia for myself.
Thank you for response for my previous ask - and now behold, a second ask: does Miriel ever meet Lygia??
If so, does Lygia know about Miriel being a werewolf? Does Miriel get to know about Lygia? Or maybe Lygia hides it? Or maybe reveals it in secret? Does she, maybe, try to teach Miriel how to control the power? However, does it even work, since Miriel has technically druidal powers and Lygia is just a werewolf? Or how Lygia feels about someone being 'openly' a werewolf and others not hating (?) it?
I think it would be such an interesting dynamic between the two if they ever meet. What do you think?
(Also, will we ever see their wolf forms?? (How do you do with drawing animals?))

Since Lygia is for my Guardian Tales fanfic and Miriel is a character from original story, they don't meet, buuuuut...
I originally was going to make Lygia an AU version of Miriel (thus their similarities) but decided against it in the last second, but I made a joke that in some alternative universe they're mother and daughter!
So the main dynamic I imagined would be an older Miriel who already came to terms with her abilities teaching Lygia, but it probably wouldn't be fun...? 🤭
But !! If they met as they are in some AU...
I think Lygia's first reaction would be excitment at meeting someone who's like her - at least, more or less like her - but I also think Lygia would feel some small jealousy over how Miriel's party accept her ability.
(And yes, Lygia would admit it is a bit irrational since her own party would also accept her if she only gathered her courage to show her wolf form, haha. :'D )
But she'd be willing to help Miriel, yes. I think something Lygia could help Miriel with, is how to will the transformation (so it stops happening randomly). But in the matter of Miriel controlling herself when transformed, I think ultimately that depends on Miriel only!
As for drawing their wolf forms! I admitely am not very good with drawing animals (save for Donald Duck characters)... but I did attempt to draw Miriel's werewolf form a few years back. I also tried drawing a portrait of Lygia's this month to test the waters, but it's not very successful yet... :'D
Miriel's wolf form is supposed to be bipedal like mainstream werewolves.

As for Lygia -
The other two werebeasts (Rey & Toga) don't have transformed forms (at least not that I know...?), but another character from the game named Garam (who's a nine-tailed fox) has, so I imagine Lygia's wolf form is more to the feral side like his:

So I think folks around them would have different reactions considering that too, and Lygia feels anxious about her wolf form looking more 'monstruous' - at least, that's what she believes it must be perceived as.
As for Craig, I imagine he does slowly connect some dots, like her eyes, and I also want to imagine he kept the tooth Lygia lost that day (it's a miracle Ailie didn't try to take it and sell it as a super rare monster relic 🤣) and he notices the fact Lygia doesn't have one of her incisors...
But I think he's the type to wait for her to say it, you know? He thinks, 'If she IS the wolf from that dungeon, she'll say it in her own time'.
If he found out she feels so indebted towards him he'd probably feel a bit bashful - he just did what anyone would do if they saw a creature being cornered and attacked - he's just relieved she's recovered and she's well, haha.

Hello! I have recently found myself randomly wondering about Lygia.
If I remember correctly, Lygia doesn't know she's a werewolf, right? Does any other character know about this? Does Craig know? If I recall correctly, he doesn't, but he has seen her wolf form... Does he ever find out?
And if Lygia eventually comes to know it, how? Is she scared? Does she not want others to know? Do others tell her? Does she like it??
...I have randomly dove deep into consequences of not knowing about being a werewolf-
If you wanted to share some stories or ideas and talk about this at all, I would be all ears...

Lygia knows she's a werewolf!
As my idea goes she got attacked while in her wolf form by mercenaries in the past - that's when Craig saved her / saw the wolf form - but after that point she got of the mentality of, "maybe my parents were right and I need to hide my wolf form or people will become afraid / attack me again", so at that point she never transformed again, at least not around anyone.
(I also recently got the idea that it was during that attack that she lost her tooth-)
When she meets Knight and the other Guardian Tales characters, she initially keeps her wolf form hidden from them too. It's not that she dislikes it - it's part of herself - or distrusts them, but sometimes the fear is stronger. 😔
I haven't thought of a specific scene yet but I imagine she'd have to transform to protect one of them (probably during an ambush attack), and that's the reveal moment.
I imagine she thinks, "That's it, now they all will become afraid of me and I gotta disappear" but ofc everyone is accepting of her. (Plus Craig connects the dots and that's when Lygia is able to thank him for saving her these years ago! :'D)

Buuut, you mentioned the character not knowing they're a werewolf - I actually have another werewolf character who doesn't know about it, Miriel! (She's for my original story, Wayfarer Trails aaaa) =D

Miriel is a party member of Wayfarer Trails (original project). She is an elf who lov
Miriel is a druid (has transformation abilities), but since she was orphaned at a young age, she never learned how to control these abilities, so they manifest in a werewolf curse way (during full moons, loses control when transformed, doesn't remember anything, etc).
As my idea for her goes, she lives in a cottage nearby a village, where everyone became afraid of the werewolf who appears occasionally. Miriel, who loves all creatures, made her mission to find it and drive it away so everyone is safe. Of course this plan doesn't go very well when Miriel and the werewolf are the same person hahaha
I plan to make it so when the Fabian's party arrives in the village they accept to hunt for the werewolf, Miriel intervenes and asks them to not hurt it, etc. etc. and that's when the party finds out Miriel is the werewolf and tells her in the next morning.
Miriel is initially under the impression it's a curse, so she joins their party in search of a cure. In her case, she dislikes her werewolf form as she is afraid she will hurt someone when she loses control, and tries to repress her abilities which kinda make it worse haha. So she kinda asks Fabian and the others to lock her everytime she transforms until she goes back to normal.
I haven't thought so far in the plot, but I want there to be a quest where she meets another druid or finds out about her heritage/abilities in another way, and that's when she learns to control her abilities, conciously transform and such! =)
