This is a let's play that I've started filming. It's hard because my computer keeps overheating, but OBS is working pretty well for it so far. I haven't edited the first video quite yet because I started but the end didn't record because the computer overheated. So a whole bunch of stuff didn't come through. That means I have to do a quick summary of what happened in the part that didn't film. But I like the family, so I'm definitely going to get into it soon.
My first YouTube video is up! Please check it out and consider subscribing to my channel! I did a lot of renos last week and filmed them all, and I’m hoping the videos came out well. I’ll begin working on the next one tonight.
It's the moment we've all been waiting for! Challenge time!! If you remember from our casting call, I said that the challenges this season would be based off of movie genres! So what's this challenge's genre? Culinary, of course!
The two teams must prepare a grilled cheese sandwich, and they must try to make the better grilled cheese sandwiches than the other team. The team with the highest number of high-quality sandwiches wins invincibility!
The Illustrious Star-Shines start out strong, with Hans unfazed from catching himself on fire earlier. However, it seems that the fire curse passed on to Coffee, because she put too much oil in the pan which resulted in an explosion!
The Renowned Big-Names fumble a bit more than the Star-Shines, as you can see with Enzo accidentally dropping the pepper shaker, but you can just see the determination in Toni's eyes as she tries to get her sandwich back in her pan!
THE RESULTS:
Illustrious Star-Shines
Ashlee: Normal
Coffee: Excellent!
Drew: Normal
Flo: Excellent!
Hans: Excellent!
Takashi: Excellent!
Tristan: Normal
Renowned Big-Names
Brody: Normal
Enzo: Normal
Liana: Excellent!
Neal: Normal
Paulina: Normal
Toni: Normal
Willabelle: Excellent!
It was close, but the Star-Shines take the cake with 4 excellent-quality sandwiches to 2!
THE ILLUSTRIOUS STAR-SHINES WIN!
Congratulations Star-Shines! Although nobody in particular did terribly (besides Coffee exploding herself, but good thing she's on your team!), you still made better sandwiches than the Big-Names!
The Illustrious Star-Shines have won invincibility and are safe tonight. I'll be seeing the Renowned Big-Names at the auditorium for the first elimination of Total Drama Sims: Season 2...
I decided to start a Scenarios save (I've added in a few gameplay mods that I love but this is the same instance as the Saldana save). The mother was Brooke Watson, and her triplet toddlers are Alexander, Hayden, and Candice. I used Sac Jr's Life Manager mod to generate a family tree for Brooke, so the kids had grandparents.
I easily completed the challenge, and then decided to finish it out by aging the triplets up and redoing their bedrooms.
Their birthday was on Spooky Day, so we had a party. And then, before anyone aged up (I could NOT find any cakes for Brooke to make for them so I had to wait for it to just happen), Brooke got hysterical and died of laughter. Toddlers can't plead with Grim.
The toddlers all disappeared. I saved and went to Manage Worlds and looked through the households and found them with their grandparents in Henford on Bagley. So I moved them all back to the kids' home in Willow Creek. The triplets aged up and I got them sorted with aspirations and going to school, and then I got a warning that the grandparents don't have long to live. Checked both with MCCC, and they both had 3 days left. Since Brittni (grandma) loves dogs, she adopted two. I was trying to have her adopt 3 so the household would be full and she would stop wanting to have a child, but the third one didn't work. Oh, and meanwhile Kory (grandpa) is worried that Brittni is cheating on him. He's in the criminal career and she is a gardener.
I went into CAS and used genetics to generate a father for the triplets, then separated him from the household and moved him into Oasis Springs. He won't be there long, he'll be moving back to Willow Creek with his kids after the grandparents die.
Once the kids are settled with their dad I'll be able to start a new scenario in this save. More pics and info to come!
When the last big update happened, I decided to start a brand new games folder with no mods, so I wouldn't have to worry about that sort of thing. I'm having fun with it even though I definitely miss some of the gameplay mods I use!
Meet Maribel Saldana. She started out in Willow Creek. I redid Crick Cabana for her. She liked purple so I did it in purple and yellow (complimentary colours) and then she decided she doesn't like yellow, so I changed it up to purple and white except her wardrobe stayed purple and yellow.
She's an astronaut, and her Aspiration is Renaissance Sim.
After Winterfest, she moved to Brindleton Bay, into a house that's large enough for a family. She doesn't have any romantic interests but she's prepared to do the Science Baby thing since she just aged up to Adult.
She adopted two cats when she moved into the house; Mojo was an adult male, and Tom was a female kitten (she aged up to adult after two days).
Her best friend is Rahmi Watson, who she met at the Finchwick Chicken Fair. She's also friendly with Caleb Vatore. The last picture is from her birthday party.
I started with twins, Kaitlin (long hair) and Reese (shorter hair) Wilburn.
Kaitlin is proper but also lazy. She is in the secret agent career and has a little boy, Colton, who was a toddler when I started (that's him in the pictures).
Reese is more of a free spirit, she got a part-time job working in retail customer service, and she loves dogs so she had a corgi named Rani.
They started in Brindleton Bay and Reese went on a Blind Date with Zoe Patel on Love Day. Zoe asked her to go out again the next day, and they wound up getting married. Reese took Zoe's last name.
I moved them to Newcrest, which I populated with a bunch of my original builds and Sims I created for other games. Zoe got a job in the athlete career.
Reese and Zoe had three science babies in total, first a boy, Xander, and then two girls, first Tamara and then Hillary. Reese was always the one who birthed the babies, and she died from exertion after Hillary's birth but Zoe successfully pleaded for her life with Grim. Reese decided to be a SAHM after that.
(Also the third-last picture is Zoe peeing standing up. WTAF. I checked in CAS and she can't do that.)
Rani died of old age, and then Tamara kept having a dream about befriending a raccoon, so I made them a raccoon named Duchess.
Colton began dating Evie Delgato as a teen and when they both hit young adulthood they got married and moved to Henford-on-Bagley (I got Cottage Living during the sale).
I keep popping back in to see what's going on with the original family. Kaitlin's been chatting with a guy via SimDa chat, so we'll see where that goes. Tamara just aged up to teen and Hillary is a child now, so the family is nowhere near finished.
Next post I'll share a bunch of the CAS makeover pics, because I have been updating things with different life stages. Just the first everyday outfit for each with a bit about the Sim and so on.
Kimberly is one of Mariana's children (Mariana being the heir to Camilla of Camilla's Kids). She is a beautiful Sim and wound up looking after her siblings after Mariana moved out upon becoming an Elder.
Since Maribel (Mariana's heir) has two children right now (1 infant & 1 newborn), and Wesley (the youngest) is still a teen but graduated high school early, I am planning to do some side quests with Kimberly.
Last night I moved her and Victor (Maribel's twin brother, who is in the Entertainer career; Kimberly is in the Actor career) to Del Sol Valley and made a new save for them. Once I feel like I've got them both sorted I'll save their household(s) and home(s) to my library and move them into the game where I'll have been playing with Maribel. I'll need to keep track of the passage of time for both, so I figure I'll play a Sim week in one and then go play a Sim week in the other.
I'm hoping to make videos of the Kimberly Side Quest; I'm invested in this family right now, so I fully expect that these will be the first ones I put on YouTube.
Below the cut is photos from the trip I took Kimberly on to Selvadora. I definitely want her to go back there at least once during the side quest game!
Camilla's Kids: Generation 2 (22/100 babies) Part 2
Maribel threw a house party after she became a young adult. Mostly family showed up, but everyone had some fun! I enjoyed seeing everyone's party outfits because sometimes I forget what I chose.
The rest of the images in this post are from before the party.
Kathy liked making friends. I could have her say hi to someone and then she would just take over and have good conversations. I love when Sims are that easy!
Lindsey likes the outdoors and managed not to get hit by meteors or anything! She entered the gardening career.
Kimberly began to hate her life. See next post for some more on her.
Since Maribel is the heir, I went with her to high school a few times. She REALLY LIKED every single guy she saw at school, it was ludicrous.
And then there's Victor. Check out those chiseled cheekbones!
As of this post, Maribel is pregnant with her first child. We'll see how many she has total!
Camilla's Kids: Generation 2 (22/100 babies) Part 1
Mariana started out in the same house as Camilla, but I got tired of the house and when she had a decent amount saved up (and after I got all the packs via a utility), we moved to San Sequoia, into a house I built just for them. It's still having things added but when it's properly done I'll post about both homes.
Mariana had 13 children, and early on I decided her love match was Grim. Her daughter Francesca is a Reaper! Since that doesn't impart occult anything, when I moved them out I used MCCC to flag Mariana as immortal, and I flagged Francesca as immortal and froze her age. She's in the CC career for graveyard caretaker or whatever it's called, and when I get an alert that someone died or that someone's spirit is fading, she's the one I take to the graveyard lot to collect the urns and lay out the gravestones and keep the spirit around.
Peyton, Ali, Theo, Stewart, Francesca, Gene, Kimberly, Whelan, Kathy, Lindsey, Victor & Maribel, Wesley. Whelan is a spellcaster. Wesley's dad is Clement Frost. Kimberly is an astonishingly pretty Sim. Maribel is the heir and is also very gorgeous, as is her twin brother, Victor.
Gameplay pics and some details below the cut!
Mariana doing tummy time with her babies. Also going and getting an infant who spawned far from home for some weird reason. (I know I'm not the only one this happens to, it's really weird!) And a lovely picture of Kimberly.
Whelan engaging in a magic battle with his father. He lost.
Gene had a girl he liked for a while. I don't think they wound up together, but I can't be certain. I'd have to check the game.
The twins! Victor and Maribel were gorgeous babies and toddlers and children, and they both grew up to be really beautiful Sims. See next post for pictures of them as they grew.
Kimberly feeding Wesley as a toddler. She wound up taking care of her younger siblings for a while after Mariana and her older siblings all moved out. That phase is the next post!
Photo dump of Camilla (original matriarch) and her kids. I just decided to not bother with the paternal photos and just do selfies with the kids once they reach young adulthood, so that will make many things much simpler.
Camilla had 10 children total, but I probably shouldn't really count Oliver (#10) since he died of hunger very suddenly as a teen.
Emerson, Emilia, Avery, Juliet, Dwight, Jett, Blaze, Mariana, Herbert, Oliver (as a ghost). All died of old age except Jett and Blaze (house fire) and Mariana (I'll get into that on the post about her generation).
Camilla's One True Love is Don Lothario. They got married near the end of her life and his gravestone is next to hers in the graveyard so their ghosts can hang out forever. Dwight was her child by Don, so I enjoyed duplicating the photos with Don so they could be displayed together on the wall in the family home.

Um, when I called this “Too Many Sims” I meant it. And that’s just my active games; I also have a number of build-related games that I play with Sims in sometimes (I’ll list those another time), and I have at least one game with no mods in it at all.
Also, I’m feeling rather like I want to make a new game and sim etc. right now. I’ll post about it as I go.
I've been playing through all 20 saves and taking pictures so I can make posts about the different families etc. If you're interested in anything in particular, can you let me know which? Otherwise I'll just try and make sure I post regular updates or something. I've got loads of pictures to use in posts right now, so.
I will always tag with the save, at least, so if there's a particular family/story you're interested in, you'll be able to find all the entries.
So the Family Tree generator works on toddlers, but when I tried it on Rosemary it gave her different parents even though I picked the option to NOT delete previous generations. I left the game without saving and then I went into CAS and used genetics to make Joyce Powers, Rosemary's mother. I put her into her own house in Oasis Springs and brought her to the Clevenger home so I could set her relationship levels with Brantley and Rosemary. I also set up her Family Tree and put the gravestones that generated with the ones from Brantley's Family Tree. Then I turned on the Life's Drama and Life Tragedies mods for Joyce and took her home, then set her as unplayed so she'll just do her own thing without me.
Read on to learn more about what's happened so far.
Life with a toddler, giving baths and playing and her wandering outside when it's time to eat... you know, the usual.
I love love love that telephone toy, by the way.
Rosemary was getting really close to aging up and needed skills, so I hired a nanny for a day. It definitely helped.
Also, how cute is that little bunny napping on her bed?!?
Some random person was dancing in the leaves next to our lot. I took a photo because it was weird.
I seriously LOVE Brantley interacting with Rosemary. They talk and she looks so cute looking up at him!
Joyce came to visit on Rosemary's birthday and I adore the pic of them hugging. She's an absentee parent but she does love her daughter.
Okay, so Rosemary aged up and then Joyce was leaving and she just stood out front of the house for a while. Then this truck backed in and some people grabbed her and threw her into the back of the truck and they left.
Rosemary's family tree then said that Joyce died of fire, I summoned the urn and set up the gravestone with the other ones on the lot.
Rosemary's nanny came to visit her for her birthday. I took our girl into CAS and fixed her up.
Rosemary made friends with the ghost of her grandparent, as you do, and I renovated her bedroom. The furniture is almost all Syboulette's Dino kid's room.
And then Joyce called to ask if she could come to visit again?!?
(Also a grandparent came by as well.)
I was very confused. I checked the family tree and she was alive, I went to Manage Worlds and looked around and she was alive. What on earth?!? Apparently I need to figure out a brilliant explanation for what happened. Part of it will definitely be that she had to "disappear" for a few days.
Anyway, that's the update for this little family. I hope you enjoyed!
My other no mods or CC save follows Joy Henderson and her dog, Molly. (Joy is in other saves, you'll see her more than once here.)
I built this house expecting her to eventually find a partner and have kids. I quite like the design here. What's funny to me is that it's in the same place as the previous save.
The hamster's name is Phineas.
There is absolutely something disturbing going on with her arms while "pampering on couch".
Joy is "erratic" so she talks to herself, tells herself stories, and has random moments of what look like paranoia. One of the things I like about this trait is how she calms herself when she realizes it's all good.
Joy loves her hamster (even though he bit her) and her dog.
This is a save with no mods or CC whatsoever. It follows the Hubbard family: London, a painter; Adelyn, a tech guru; Devon, their son; Genesis, their daughter; and Sprig, their cat. When I popped in last night to play and get pictures, Devon was a toddler (independent) and Adelyn was pregnant. When Devon was born I hired a nanny--Walter Nelson--so I could play as Devon while his parents were at work.
The House
I built this house for them before Devon came along. The main floor includes the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and office. I played with the stairs a bit and put the washer and dryer beside the stairs. I don't know if you can see it, but there's an extra door and stairs on the side of the house, behind the stairs, because one time I came in and Walter was stuck in the space behind the stairs and couldn't walk out if I moved the washer and dryer. I didn't know how to teleport yet, and since he's an NPC I don't think that would have been possible anyhow. It was easier to just give him an exit. There's also a clothes line outside because of the washing machine and dryer glitches. If things are being particularly annoying, I just have them hang the clean clothes to dry.
The Family
The first picture in this set is Devon coming downstairs to greet his dad when he got home from work. The third is just so you can see London's tattoo! Then there are two of London reading to Devon, three of him giving Devon a bath, and one of Devon talking to London and Walter while playing on the tablet. It's a cute family, though I do have some issues with London's appearance and I'm not sure why.
And then Genesis came along.
Quick shot of where the house is located in Willow Creek, followed by one of Adelyn with Devon.
Devon aged up so I popped into CAS to fix his hair (which you can't see in the first picture) and check his game-generated outfits.
Some fun little pictures. You can sort of see how I got rid of the balcony on the front of the house and replaced it with a bedroom for child-Devon.
Genesis aged up so I checked her out in CAS and gave her some cute outfits.
And then the house was clearly not big enough anymore (especially not if London and Adelyn decide they want more kids), and the lot was too small to be able to expand much, so I built a new one over at Potters Splay and brought everyone and all their furniture over there.
I'll share more next post about them. I like the bigger house, it's going to work really well for them and has room for more kids if necessary!
