We may not have seen Oikawa, Kuroo, and Bokuto interact in the manga but they're just as chaotic as we imagine them to be in the promotion panels

After Midnight (Miya Atsumu x Reader)
Just a fluffy little word dump because I wanted a quick dose of comfort. ⤠-Giz

Masterlist
âY/N.â
Itâs after midnight, and the bedroomâs been quiet for ten minutes at least. Youâre facing away from your boyfriend because his side of the bed faces the door, and the hallway light was on until he climbed into bed just now. Youâve nearly succumbed to the gentle pull of sleep, and you desperately want to after the day youâve had. Atsumu, however, isnât quite ready to call it a night.
âY/N.â You feel him shift beside you, propping himself up on an elbow to peak at your face. âAre you asleep yet?â
You groan and donât open your eyes.
âY/N,â he coos with a smile. You know he wonât stop until he gets your attention, so you shift onto your back with a sigh. You open your eyes and make out his outline in the dark. You canât see his face, but you know he has dark circles under his eyes. Both of you have had a busy week, and he needs the sleep as much as you do. But he finally has a moment to slow down and think, so you pull yourself out of your drowsiness to listen.
âYou have my attention,â you murmur.
âGood.â Atsumu takes your hand and kisses your knuckles. He keeps your fingers intertwined, thumb rubbing gentle circles on your skin. It threatens to lull you back towards sleep.
âI think we should get married.â
Your heart jumps a little even though heâs said this before. It always happens in the quiet moments when youâre winding down for the day. He rarely lets himself relax and think beyond all of the immediate tasks he has to do. Even cuddling on the couch after dinner, you know heâs mentally preparing for tomorrowâs training or giving his full attention to you. He doesnât think about unessential topics until heâs taken care of his other business.
Not that he thinks marriage is unimportant. The fact that heâs brought it up several times means he wants to talk about it with you. You both simply have more pressing matters to focus on right now. The Olympics are in less than a month, and while heâs preparing on the court, youâre arranging your personal lives to accommodate the three weeks consumed by the international competition. Itâs impossible to think of any future beyond the Olympics, though in your own quiet moments, marriage does cross your mind.
Youâd feel more urgency to discuss it with your boyfriend if you werenât so sure of your relationship. Youâve become a strong team, and every obstacle youâve faced, youâve emerged more committed to each other. Atsumu challenges you and sometimes drives you crazy, but heâs given you a love that is deeper and more constant than any youâve known. Itâs why you can give your attention to everything else without worry. You know he will stay by your side, and he knows youâre not going anywhere.
Sure of this stability, you close your eyes.
âI think we should get some sleep.â
Your boyfriend chuckles.
âY/N, Iâm serious.â
âSo am I.â You roll toward him and snuggle into the sheets and his chest. âWe can talk about this in the morning.â
âOkay.â He lays back down and brings you close to him. He still hasnât released your hand, and you bring your entwined fingers to your lips to return his earlier kiss.
âI love you Atsumu.â
âI know,â he says with a gentle squeeze of your hand. âI love you too.â
You exhale and relax against him, ready to surrender to sleep. You doubt youâll pick up the conversation in the morning. Youâll both be too focused on getting to work and checking off boxes on your endless to-do lists. But thatâs okay. You both know youâll share your eternities together. You just want to be awake enough when he proposes to remember every moment and carry that memory forever, too.
dude
he looks so uninterested
thats such a power move honestly
I love one (1) guardian deity
âWhat do you love about me?â
You turn over and lay on your back, head pushing itself further into Osamuâs lap. He glances down at you but picks his attention back up to the TV.
âWhat kind of stupid question is that?â
âI donât know.â You mumble and you fixate on the square pocket of his shirt to distract you from whatever youâre feeling inside. The tips of your fingers trace over the embroidery. Silence fills the room aside from the low lull of the TV. You feel Osamu staring down at you, giving you a hard gaze. He knows something is wrong because you would have replied back with a smart retort rather than forcing him to figure out what you mean with the words you left lingering in the air.
He cups your cheek and tilts your head so that your eyes match his. Your fingers stop. âTell me whatâs wrong baby.â
Heâs always so direct with your emotions. Always gets right to the point and you know itâs because he loves you. You know itâs because he canât stand seeing you upset in any way. But your heart is rather fearful of such pointed things. It likes to evade, shy away, break in tiny pieces before breaking in half. It doesnât do well handling confrontations like this.
âIâm just feeling a bit down.â You finally find the courage to mutter when he brushes your cheeks. He waits patiently for you to gather your thoughts. He doesnât say a word and the rhythm in his fingers stays steady and calm. Finally, your heartbeat slows to match with his. âAbout life I guess. Lifeâs been a bit hard.â
A small chuckle reverberates from his chest that relieves the tension in yours. âLifeâs a bitch sometimes, ainât it?â
You nod to agree, âSo can you remind me what you love about me?â
âEverything.â Osamu answers immediately but it is so unsatisfying. He sees that and kisses the bridge of your nose, the one that you mention is a bit too small in the morning. He places a warm hand on your stomach, the one that you spend time grabbing at after a shower. âEverything.â He promises, âBut most importantly, everything that you donât love about yourself.â
I mean if he got Akaashi and Tsukishimaâs name wrong at first I can only assumeâŚ
Happy birthday to our Ninja Shoyo!!!
Can you write a food fight Headcanon scenario with Miya Osamu?
Hi Anon! Thank you for the request. I absolutely loved this idea! Although i got really hungry while working on it. đ I hope you enjoy this! -Giz
Food Fight with Miya Osamu
You start dating right before graduating from Inarizaki, so youâre there during the beginning years of Onigiri Miya.
Youâve helped Osamu talk out his ideas for the business and stood by him as he took those first steps to make it a reality.
Youâre honored to be the first person he turns to with new ideas.
Even if he is strong-willed and usually goes with his own opinion regardless of what you say.
Youâre still touched when he asks you about things, especially the food, which happens a lot in the early days when heâs figuring out the menu.
You spend dozens of afternoons in his kitchen as he works out new fillings and defines the taste of his restaurant.
You donât know how he does it, but he knows how to combine ingredients into something magical.
In addition to being stubbornly opinionated, heâs also a perfectionist, especially when it comes to his food.
One afternoon, heâs cooking batch after batch of the same flavor of onigiri because he canât seem to get it quite right.
âWhat about this one?â he asks, placing another plate in front of you. Youâve already eaten so many, you have no idea how he expects you to eat any more.
(He always seems to have room for more, and it never seems to physically affect him. Heâs inhuman.)
âThey taste exactly like the others,â you say.
âYou only had one bite. Finish it first.â
âSamu, Iâm stuffed,â you groan, âand youâre always saying my pallet isnât refined enough to really understand your food. The past three plates have all tasted the same to me.â
âSo itâs still just alright.â
You kind of regret your lukewarm reaction to this recipe, but he always demands your honest opinion when he comes to you for help.
âNot everyone is going to like the entire menu. Itâs okay to have one or two less than stellar flavors.â
âNo one goes to a restaurant where the reviews say âEverything is great except one or two dishesâ.â
âPeople really arenât that picky,â you sigh, but heâs already turning back to the rice cooker.
âLet me try another rice seasoning.â
âNo!â You shoot up from your chair to try and block him. âMy stomach canât take any more!â
âY/N, I need to get this right.â
He tries to elbow you out of the way, but you manage to wiggle between him and the counter, putting you in a perfect position to interfere with his cooking.
You do your best to push ingredients out of reach and disrupt his movements.
âY/N,â he says warningly when you bump him with your shoulder and cause him to over season the rice. Again.
You turn to face him, looping your arms around his waist and giving him your best puppy dog eyes.
âCan we please take a break?â
His face is impassive as he looks at you, but thereâs a glimmer of something less serious in his eyes.
You squeak in surprise when he throws a pinch of the over seasoned rice against your cheek.
He smirks before turning back to cooking, but youâre not ready to let it go.
You take a few strips of cut celery from the counter and return fire.
It quickly becomes an all-out food fight.
You grab whatever you can: rice, vegetables, bits of meat, and spices are flying around the kitchen.
Both Osamu and you get very competitive, so you donât care that youâre making a mess of the kitchen and ruining your clothes.
You just want to one-up him however you can.
Even though youâre in it to win it, youâre laughing and having fun.
At some point, you get out the eggs and things get really messy.
Snacks come out of cupboards, and pantry stores diminish as you add to your arsenal.
Basically, nothing is off limits.
Eventually Osamu manages to pin you against his chest and mercilessly sprinkles you with sesame seeds.
âAlright! Alright,â you gasp. âI give up. Iâm done.â
âAre you?â he demands, though the shower of sesame seeds stops.
âI am,â you promise, relaxing in his grip.
âIâm not so sure.â Osamu wraps his other arm around you and presses his cheek to yours, slowly turning you to survey the state of the kitchen.
âSee this mess? Someone needs to clean it up.â
âYou started this fight Samu.â
But I also won. And itâs my kitchen, so my rules.â
âYouâre such a diva,â you grumble. He just smears some egg on your shoulder and kisses your cheek.
You stick out your tongue at him in response.
âWhere are you going?â you demand when he releases you and heads for the exit.
âTo shower and change.â
âWhat about this mess?â
âStart with the rice cooker. Iâll get back to perfecting that recipe when Iâm done.â
He smirks over his shoulder as he exits, leaving you surrounded by the aftermath of your food fight.
You know heâll be back in five minutes, damp from a quick rinse and ready to help clean up, so you just sigh and start cleaning out the rice cooker.
By the time youâre done with this mess, you might work up an appetite and be ready for another round of Osamuâs cooking experiments.
Hello!! Could you do a headcannon/scenario for kurro, where reader is sick and he freaks out but reader calms him down but he still freaks out and ends up fainting lol. Can I be âď¸Anon
Hello âď¸Anon! It's lovely to meet you. đ¤ Sorry it took me a while to get to your request. This was a really fun idea, and I wanted to do it justice. I hope you like it!
Sick Days (Kuroo Tetsurou x Reader)
When you wake up with a headache and a foggy feeling to your senses, you expect an aspirin will clear it up before your first class is over.
What you donât expect is to wind up in the nurseâs office with a fever and waves of dizziness.
The nurse calls your guardian to take you home because you are in no state to be at school. Your head is throbbing, you feel warm all over, and every time you sit or stand, you get dizzy, so you settle in on the couch at home to try and wait out whatever sickness this is.
Your guardian makes sure you have snacks and plenty of water before heading back to work, leaving you alone in the house with the lights off.
Bright lights make your headache almost unbearable right now, so youâre not watching TV or scrolling through social media. Youâre just dozing and letting your mind wander.
Which is why the sudden knock on the door and shout of âIâm coming in!â startles you.
You jerk upright, which makes the nausea hit you like a brick, and now youâre flailing for a grip on the couch to steady yourself while the world spins.
âY/N what the- Are you okay?â
Strong hands steady you and help you lie back down. You take a moment to cover your eyes and wait for the dizziness to before peeking at your unexpected guest.
âTetsurou, what are you doing here? Why arenât you at school?â
âBecause youâre not at school! Your classmates said you went to the nurse and never came back. You didnât return any of my texts or calls. I thought you were rushed to the hospital or something! I couldnât just sit in class when I didnât know what happened to you.â
Your boyfriend looks nearly out of his mind. His hairâs messier than usual, heâs loosened his tie, and thereâs a damp sweat on his exposed skin. He looks like he ran here. Kuroo isnât typically one to overreact, so he must have been really worried to skip school to come find you.
âIâm fine,â you say, even though your head is throbbing and the world is vaguely unsteady.
âObviously not,â he disagreed. âYou canât even sit up by yourself.â
âI just moved too fast. Iâll be fine after some rest.â
âAnd if you donât get better just resting all day?â
âThen Iâll go to the doctor and weâll figure it out. Tetsurou, I am fine,â you repeat, doing your best to smile reassuringly.
Kuroo studies you while he kneels next to the couch. You can tell by the wrinkles lingering on his brow that heâs not fully convinced, but he takes your hand and kisses your knuckles in something like relief.
âIâm just glad youâre safe and not dying at a bus stop or in the hospital.â
âIâm sorry I made you worry. I didnât even think to check my phone.â You sigh, covering your eyes again as your headache twinges.
âItâs okay. You have other things to worry about right now, like getting better.â He rubs your arms comfortingly. âCan I get you anything?â
âNo, I have snacks and plenty of water.â You gesture to your setup. âYou should get back to school, though. Your teachers wonât be happy youâre skipping.â
âThey can wait. Youâre more important right now.â
âI want to argue with you for your own good, but itâs hard when Iâm feeling crummy and I really just want to cuddle with you right now.â
âIs that an invitation?â he asks with a quirked eyebrow and a familiar smirk.
âI have a fever. I could be contagious.â
âFevers are just your body trying to burn away the sickness within you. It doesnât mean youâre contagious. Plus, Iâm willing to risk it for cuddles.â
You concede and he carefully crawls onto the couch, holding you gently.
After a bit of blissful cuddling, you announce that you have to use the bathroom and sit up slowly.
âWant me to walk you to the bathroom?â Kuroo asks, watching you carefully as you narrow your eyes against the mild dizziness.
âI think I can make it.â
You do make it...to the living room doorway where the vertigo hits you hard. With a groan, you sink to the floor.
âY/N? Whatâs wrong? Hang on, I- uhhgh.â
You hear a thud, and when you turn, you see your boyfriend collapsed on the carpet.
âTetsurou!â
He doesnât answer, which scares you enough to push through your spinning senses to crawl to him, calling his name.
He jerks awake when you reach him, eyes wide, and you rest your burning forehead against his stomach in relief.
âWhat happened?â he asks. âAre you okay?â
âFine.â Your voice is muffled a little by his shirt, as are the relieved giggles you're trying to hide. âYou fainted.â
âWhat? Oh.â Kuroo sighs, but he's grinning as he stares at the ceiling. âI guess I got up too fast? But you collapsed first.â
âIâm sick. I have an excuse.â
âSorry Y/N,â he says, gently pushing your hair back from your face. âIâm a bit of a mess when youâre not okay.â
You turn your head to look at him and smile wryly.
âI guess weâre both a bit of a mess today.â
