Between all the sickness that ran through this house and work being crazy, I got off track with any type of workouts.
So we shall try and get back to it!
Got in a little workout! I’m so glad I signed up for Fitbod. I just really like this app. 😄
Another something I started recently is intermittent fasting.
I’ve actually tried this before and my body reacted well. My main reason for giving this a go again is I just can’t stop eating sometimes! I was eating smaller meals throughout the day. Which was going well until I just kept eating more and more.
I really like food. And if I could just eat all the food all day long without consequences, I so would. But we all know that isn’t possible.
But my issue right now is just how much I think about food and how much it controls me. The intermittent fasting so far is working to help me break the cycle. Shuts off that momentum of eating all the things.
I am not cutting everything out. I am still drinking during the “fasting” time. Coffee, water, beer, wine. Ya know...my usuals. Just no food.
I’m still playing around with timing. Started with 14 hour and today my goal was 16. I might consider a mid day fast as well. Who knows...I’m attempting to figure something out. 🤷🏻♀️
Stay hydrated folks. 👍🏼
Got it in this morning 👍🏼
Back at it!
It’s done 🤗
We are having a lazy day of a Harry Potter marathon. But turns out...not that lazy since I planned so much food to make! Lol
Wouldn’t have it any other way 🤗
And I managed to sneak in a Fitbod workout too ❤️
My humble little set up. It has worked well!
Another workout for 2020. Two day streak! 😉 🤪
Obligatory January 1st workout? Absolutely!
I ran a few miles over the weekend! Fourth year of Run Woodstock and it was just as grand as the first year. I will definitely be back again next year.
I managed to do all the fun runs this year. Which I haven’t done since the first year. All da buttons!!
For my registered race, I did the half marathon and I got a PR for the course! Shaved off about ten minutes from my 2016 and 2017 times. I got 4th in my age group, so that got me the toy bus ;)
Melissa and Steve also ran the half. Vanessa ran the 5 miler. Jared ran his first 50k! And Dan kicked ass at the 100k!! We also ran in to Heidi and Dave, who I had met in 2017.
The festival was just as it has been before. Lots of running, but also lots of relaxing and just enjoying time together. We may have stayed up a tad late and been a tad loud, but oh well.
I think I only got about 2 hours of sleep Friday night since I got up at 4am to help crew Dan. But Saturday night I got some glorious sleep so it made up for it :) You don’t go to Woodstock to sleep anyway!
Just an overall great weekend!!
Had quite the relaxing evening at my cousin’s this morning. Charly got some hammock time. Coffee was good and the water was pretty.
And then Jenny and I got some yang yin yoga done in the gazebo.
Sassy seemed to enjoy shavasana with us.
I’ve been struggling in the motivation department. Which corresponds to struggling in the depression department. I’m just so very tired of fighting the black cloud. I feel heavy, defeated and just fucking fatigued all the time. I know it will pass and the cloud will lift again. But yeah...I just feel like constant prey. Sometimes I can out smart it, but I’m just tired of having to do that. I have to have this balance of diet, excercise, sleep and socializing in order for me to feel “normal” and not so indifferent about everything. And honestly, it is hard to keep up with it all.
Yeah...that’s my ramble for the day. But I got in 4 miles. And today I’ll go enjoy time with family. It will do me some good. ❤️
I had so much fun running some miles with this guy! He ran his first 50 and killed it. And I got to run the last 13 or so (gps shows 13.5 and 14.23) with him. Honored he would ask me to join in his experience 😍 We both started running about the same time in our lives. About ten years ago. And it has been fun sharing the journey!
And we determined that in order for Zack’s pace to be closer to mine, he just has to run 35 first! I still had to push a bit still too 😂☺️
I’ve fallen off the wagon of getting up early and getting some productive time in before work. But I’m trying to get back in to it! Watching the sun come up on my run this morning was worth it. Also I upped the difficulty on my math alarm and I think that will help! 🤪😴
Tomorrow is Zack’s 50 miler. I’m so excited for him! And I’m glad I get to run some miles with him 🤗
12 miles on a local trail. No big hills, but at least the uneven terrain gets me a little more prepared for next weekend.
Looks like I’ll be running the last 15 miles of my cousin’s 50 with him. At least that’s the plan as of right now!
Gorgeous foggy morning for a run! And 4.0 miles seemed fitting considering the day 😉☺️
Now THAT was a rain run.
It was coming down pretty heavy for most of the run. And in the dark! Definitely put a smile on my face. 😁😍
