I turned my favorite scene of Gakushuu into a drawing !!
Oh wow another one!
What is his ahh looking at.
Okay I go sleep now.
Just a quick drawing of Gakushuu :pp
Finally finished my Karushuu WIP after 5 long months of it dusting away in my tablet 😭
Just some art I drew of Gakushuu. I'm totally projecting here when I say that Gakushuu is the type of person who cries when he's angry or extremely overwhelmed, and I think being backhanded by ur father in front of ur classmates classifies as something to be stressed about.
He never got a proper apology from his father though 💔 just the promise of doing better in the future which isn't really a guarantee. But it is somewhat of a start for the Asano's (with a lifetime of therapy that the both of them would protest to)
have the product of my assclass brainrot
Don't ask why I made this, but just know I was laughing my ass off the entire time 😭

you reblogged this sooo
Hiii this I read toxic love games and it’s my favourite fic ever
-what was your intention when you first started writing it?(plotwise)
-is it similar to how it is now? Or is it completely different?
-where do you think you are in the story (nearing the end, halfway, not even near the conclusion)
-which character do you like writing the most? And the least?
-do you have an endgame in mind now ? (Because I think a few people asked last year and you said you weren’t 100% sure)
-do you think your writing has improved since you started Tlg?
-this question might seem a bit random but how does Ms Tamura look like? (If I am not mistaken she is an oc right?)
Ahhh, thank you so much for the Ask! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the fic (and I love an excuse to talk about my own stories haha)!!
I’ll try to answer these the best I can-
So this story is (technically) a sequel to my Love Games fic, which is almost a completely different genre I forget they’re in the same universe. That story ended with Nagisa and Karma together but with Gakushuu admitting he liked Karma. So I wanted to write a small story exploring that (then 250k words later…). I think I was attracted to the idea of writing morally grey protagonists and the power of temptation.
The only ideas I had originally was about Gakushuu and Karma having an affair. I didn’t think it would be that long of a story, but I kept having more scenes and story ideas I wanted to write, so it just kept getting longer.
I’m very near the end! If I follow my chapter plans there’ll be 3 chapters left (but usually, when I write chapter plans, I still end up writing more than planned). I do really want to finish this story though and not leave it without a conclusion.
Gakushuu is definitely my favourite lol. He’s always the easiest to write and I never run out of ideas for him. Sometimes I find Nagisa difficult to write, possibly because he’s the least morally grey. A while ago I did toy with the idea of him having an arc of becoming more manipulative, but it just didn’t feel true to the character.
I do have an endgame in mind!…For the most part. There’s just one very important detail I can’t make my mind up on.
I like to think it has improved since TLG! At least my character work. It is a very self indulgent story though, so in some ways, I may of picked up bad habits from writing it.
Ms Tamura; I always imagine her with dark hair and a matronly build, in her forties. When I’m writing her I always picture Yuri Tamura from Watamote, so maybe a middle aged version of her?
Thanks so much for the questions! I love feedback and I love yapping about the story!
trans asano for trans awareness week
im a little late but ;-;
I ABS9LUTELY LOVE THIS
I really like asano. Do you think that he would've turned out different if he had someone to show and give him the love and guidance he barely got? I know he's perfect but I still feel like there's a place in his heart that needs care and longs for love maybe?
It's funny that you ask this question the same day I was re-watching the ep regarding the principal's past. I was thinking that "if the principal didn't become psycho, Gakushu could have turned out such a nice guy."
I do think Gakushu would have turned out differently if his dad never went insane. It's hard to say whether or not Gakushu craved for his father's love or attention since the story never went too deep into his character. We can only speculate. I do think he wishes he at least had his father's attention.
In chapter 119, we get a small scene of Gakushu explaining the dynamic between him and his father before and after school.
It's not his father explaining it, It's Gakushu. Now we could just interpret it Gakushu just simply explaining this odd dynamic with his father and the author doesn't intend to go any deeper than that.
But, let's go a little deeper since I like to overthink.
As Gakushu is eating, you can see him looking at his father, not looking particularly happy, while Gakuho doesn't even acknowledge him and does look pretty content.
To me it seems like he's waiting for his dad to say something, or just upset that his father is barely acknowledging him when he's literally right in front of him. That must stings.
So when he says, "Whenever there wasn't anything particular to learn, we never held any conversations." It almost sounds like he hates that.
In chapter 123, after Gakuho smacked his son for the first time, Gakushu laughs and says this:
He said finally. This tells me that Gakushu did crave for his father's attention. At home, he doesn't want a teacher, he wants a father. Gakushu was written to be a perfect student, but he is still a kid at the end of the day who wants the attention of his father. Gakuho raised Gakushu to be this strong and perfect student and Gakushu took that to heart. Even when he starts to disagree with his father's teaching methods, he still does agree with the whole concept of being the best.
In their last scene together, Gakuho tells his son that he won't stop growing as a teacher and as a parent and Gakushu smiled at that.
So, yeah, in short, I do believe Gakushu does crave for his father's attention. For his love? Most likely.
I drew Gakushuu as the porcelain doll, and the reason why he has cracks is bcs of THAT scene 💔
The amount of parallels they have </3 I knew there was a reason why I named my wanderer Gakushuu 😭
