Kyra nodded, sipping more of her cappucino from her matching ‘K’ mug as she watched Kass get ready for work. The coffee would hide her cigarette breath from the night.

“Good, I have the night off from work tonight. We could go out if you wanted.” She suggested, admiring her girlfriend through the reflection.

Kassandra smiled softly and gave her girlfriend a gentle nod as she began drying off her body slowly, finishing with her hair being wrapped with a towel to be dried later. Of course the Spartan woman would know that Kyra had a rough night last night and wanted to make it up to her. 

“You know what? How about I call in sick for today and we can focus on eachother for a bit...we could go to that museum you always wanted to go to”

Kassandra gently groaned as she heard the annoying buzzer of her alarm. The sun hasn't quite risen yet but still she believed the phrase "The early bird gets the worm". Slowly moving out of bed the Greek woman began walking towards the bathroom so she could wake up completely. and begin her routine.

Kyra heard Kass’s alarm but was already awake. It’d been a bad night but she’d smoked a little at certain points in the night and otherwise just focussed on Kass’s breathing.Things were okay. She was safe now. She had been for years. So she waited for a few moments then got up. A few minutes later she came into the bathroom and put a cup of coffee down beside her girlfriend, cupping her own in her hands before she sipped.“How long is your shift today?” She asked, part of her wishing the Lakonian didn’t have to leave today. Just so she could be held. Kassandra was the only one she trusted to show this side of her. Well aside from her therapist.

  Kassandra was just finishing her mornng refreshments when Kyra entered the bathroom. She knew that she had a bad night, Kass is known to be a light sleeper so she felt when Kyra’s heat was no longer there besides her during the night. 

  Smiling she took the mug and took a sip of her own. Luckily for both of them, today is a slow day in the market meaning that probably she gets to leave early. “Not that long dear. I’ll be out by lunch so you have me for the rest of the day.”

  Kassandra pressed a kiss back to her lips as she gently wrapped her arms around Kyra’s body and softly nuzzled her before running a hand trough her hair. “I thought maybe we could relax a bit, watch some Netflix”  

Kyra gave a melodramatic gasp, hand swooping to her chest in shock as Kassandra uttered those words to her. 

“Relax?!  χρυσό μου, I didn’t think that word was in your vocabulary.” She often joked this. Both of them worked hard but Kassandra was the one less likely to give herself time off. It was their routine. 

Then with another kiss, she handed her love the remote. “Here, you pick something this time.”

   Kassandra chuckled softly and gently patted his lover’s arms when she heard her little tease about her relaxing. Getting a hold at the remote gently she looked back into her lover’s eyes and gave her a soft nuzzle before scro;;ing trough the different series and movies. 

  “Oh we could finish She Ra if you want?”

“Well for one, having a girlfriend like you helps.” Kyra replied, going all romantic on her partner. It wasn’t uncommon for an embrace of course, but some days were really draining for her as a bartender and insomniac.

“But maybe the endorphin rush is also helping.”

Kyra kicked off her boots and dropped everything off at the door before coming over to lay against her girlfriend. Now she smelt even better from their gym showers which was a bonus.

“When aren’t you?” She said with a smile, leaning up to press a kiss to her lips.

  Kassandra stared with a loving gaze to his lover’s forrest hues as a small smile crept into her features when she heard that all the sacrifices and the killing that she has been making was actually giving fruit in the Greek world. A hand gently caressed her cheek and placed a lost hair behind the other’s ear before placing a gentle kiss on softened lips. 

  “Is good to know that our work is finally paying off. Now why don’t we go to a small hidden cabin to celebrate our efforts and my return?” Kassandra said softly before placing two fingers on her lips and making a very familiar whistle. 

  In just mere seconds galloping of strong hooves could be heard followed by a loud snort as Phobos, Kassandra’s trusty steed appeared close to his owner. With another snort the horse knew exactly who she was accompsnied by and began to nuzzle the raven haired woman with gentleness. 

         ( ♞  )                  Hope satisfies the needless turmoil which had been sown across the Greek World by the hands of the ambitious and afraid, those caught within the talons of the cult finding  r e l e a s e  from the suffocating grasp that tightly wound around the throats of men and made kings bow under heel, a brighter future laid out along the horizon for all as the misthios’s work had  u n r a v e l e d  the bonds of wrath and carnage which held back the prosperity of the Mediterranean ; her own sought redemption now visible along the edge of her vision as she stood upon the precipice of something great at the side of the other, arms coiled around Kassandra’s neck and a lips a pleasant  d a n c e  along her tanned skin. Still there hung heavy the restoration to the land and people which came out of  e x t e n d e d  alliances and cries for peace in a time of war, so much still to do before the envisioned future which her father had told her of every night under the stars became the reality beneath the light of the sun, but in the single moment there came the rare  w h i s p e r s  of selfish intentions as the Pythia reveled in the warmth of the Spartan in her arms ; they had done so much already, woven web of fate dramatically altered by their combined intervention, by their forged alliance, that there came the silencing of her guilt under the voice of  t e m p t a t i o n.         ❝    ——It will be a slow process, one which will never be perfect, but it will be  b e t t e r,    ❞ practiced wisdom soon muffled by the gentle sound of her humoured chortles as stamping hooves were prelude to the familiar press of the horse’s muzzle into the tangle of ebony  w a v e s  which tumbled down across pale  e x p o s e d  flesh, a hand freed from her grip upon the warrior to settle upon the steed’s own head in gentle strokes,  ❝    hm, now there is an idea I’m more than welcome to entertain, my love ; for what is there greater to celebrate than the return of my  h e a r t—— ?    ❞

  Kassandra smiled softly as she looked deep into forrest hues with a very gentle and warm gaze before placing a kiss on her forehead and gently placing her hands on her lover’s waist to help her mount the horse easily. Once she sat behind the woman she gently grabbed the ropes of Phobos little mask to guide trough the gravel road into the all familiar Delphi. 

  “Such words filled with honey motivate me to see if you would praise the gods with the same tone” A small whisper landed on the other’s ear as a small nibble followed to the curve of her neck just to see how she reacted to such touchings.

   Kassandra was so wrapped around the feeling of her lover’s gentle and warm touches around her body she couldn’t stop praising the other’s features with kisses until she heard the others gentle words. 

   After she decided she could give her Pythia some room to breathe, amethyst hues stared into forrest ones while gently caressing calloused palms upon soft as silk cheeks. “How much I prayed to Apollo to see you again my love” Kassandra’s words were very gentle and loving as she pulled her into another warm embrace. 

  The Spartan was overflowing with joy knowing that once again she had the love of her life safe in her arms after such an eternity apart. “Want to give me a tour on what changed in Delphi?”

         ( ♞  )                  Warrior’s touch is welcomed upon the soft curve of her cheek as she tilts further into the weight of the woman’s palm with a lulling hum of appreciation upon her deepened smile, where pale hands once held the other against her lips migrated to hold the calloused touch of her lover’s own against her cheek while vivid hues gaze up warmly into the the other’s own, laughter caught in the  b r e e z e  as she’s drawn into another loving embrace which she eagerly returned without ambivalence ; how  l o n g  she’d wanted nothing more than to feel the strength of the other beneath her touch, to feel her warmth against her skin, and to taste the Greek World upon her lips every moment they were  a p a r t.         ❝    ——And just as Hades waits for his love to return with the coming of winter, so too have I waited for you to return to my shores, my love,    ❞  w h i s p e r s  shared within the dip of the woman’s neck as Coronis presses delicate touches beneath the curve of the warrior’s jaw, smile unchanging as she parts far enough to see the other’s amber eyes and still clung to her warmth,  ❝    Not much has changed since you have been away ; the village around the temple is slowly growing back to life now that the cult has been weakened and the temple is back as it should be, as it should have always been——    ❞

  Kassandra was looking towards the dense crowd of merchants and fishermen that walked near the docks, selling and doing work for their trade but still no sign of her beloved Pythia. Thoughts began to rose of doubt and conflict filling the Spartan with an unwanted anxiety in these situations. 

  That dissapeared the moment he saw the woman run towards her with immense speedmaking the Spartan embrace for a rough but cute tackle from her beloved. Once the clash has happened Kassandra couldn’t stop giggling while she gently spun her around in place and took in the familiar scent and warmth that was her lover. 

  Iin a matter of seconds she plastered the others features with kisses and kisses just to feel her skin once more upon her lips and the taste of her own chappedlips upon silk ones. 

         ( ♞  )                  Joyous laughter is left  b r e a t h l e s s  on the width of her dimpled smile as she feels the tight embrace returned by the taller warrior, the tips of her sandals  b r u s h i n g  along the ground as Kassandra spins them both and wraps them tightly within the warmth of their reunion as  s u n d e r e d  edges rekindle together once more, her own laughter  b o i s t e r o u s  with life that made the Pythia’s chest swell as what concerning fears had  w h i s p e r e d  were silenced beneath such a weight ; bustling dock deafened, crashing waves muted, and all that the priestess could hear was the thundering of the Spartan’s heart and the melodious symphony of their melding laughter as both  s h e d  the shadows of  l o n g i n g  which they’d harboured since they’d parted.         ❝    ——How I’ve missed you,    ❞ comes in a softened sigh as dimples sink further into the skin of her cheek with every touch of the misthios’ lips against her flesh, every press another blessing marked upon her features until fully her lips are captured by the rough embrace of the windswept warrior, the taste of salt and sun a sweet roughness in contrast to the satin touch of her own as her palms find purchase upon the curve of the other’s jaw to hold her still as the Pythia reads the tales of Kassandra’s adventure through the  l i n g e r i n g  taste upon her lips ; the depth of her longing only felt now that the Spartan stood before her, now that she had returned to satiate such a  v o i d.

  By this time the Spartan has made a habit of coming back to Delphi after such a long time overseas, either attending to the snakes that plagued the Greece with their venom or finding out who she was and what her true purpose meant to this world. 

  She had other reasons to return to Delphi this time, she yearned for the warm breath and embrace of a certain Pythia and it was time to reunite with the woman she has grown so fond of the past couple of months. Even Ikaros show some excitement returning to familiar woodlands. 

 Tapping the shoulder of one of her sailors the Spartan gave a smile and a wave before stepping foot on the dock to see if her beloved knew about her arrival, although knowing Ikaros he would announce to all of Greece the comeback of the legendary Eagle Bearer. 

  A face filled with excitement scanned the ongoing crowd of fishermant and merchants hoping to spot the woman of her dreams so she could finally feel her warmth in her arms once again.

         ( ♞ )             Familiar trails were swept beneath her heels as Hermes himself seemed to push her ever onward towards the docks where she was expected, only slowing ever so slightly as the sounds of rocking ships and idle chatter spared by  p a s s i n g  fisherman began to engulf the air while the coarse salt of the sea was poignant against the prominent curves of her visage, breath catching in her throat as pale digits draw further the dark linen around the bends of her features to obscure further the details of her face as she  w e a v e d  through the throng of men and women who attended to the docks ; such a common state of business hardly paying mind another young woman, not a priestess but another young maiden with her heart set upon the sails to challenge the domain of Poseidon himself while she would wait along the shores for her lover’s return. Months had seen her left blinded to the fates design for their futures as no visions racked her thoughts or pulled her from sleep since last she’d seen the Spartan walk upon the deck of her ship, the warrior’s touch still a  l i n g e r i n g  warmth upon her flesh as she watched the vessel disappear across the horizon with unwavering eyes as the sun set in the  w a k e, patience taking hold as she waited till next they met, a blessing which the Pythia had grown to  l o n g  for in the interludes which  s p a n n e d  in their partings ; silence by the gods a blessing to leave her blind to what dangers her lover faced beyond the safety of her arms, even if her spies spoke of every snake among the grasses across the Greek World.             Not far did her mind  w a n d e r  that she could not return back to the busy shores as above the song of Ikaros continued to pull her forward, gaze flicking upward to follow the bird’s path to where she knew he would always return upon the arm of her beloved ; smile growing ever  w i d e r  beneath the thin fabric of her shawl as vivid hues find the prominent figure which was cut from the crowd of the warrior, the Spartan, of Kassasndra. Patience is  s h e d  by the wind that pulls against the priestess’s run as she  t h r e a d s  through the crowd to reach the other with swift haste granted by the gods themselves, weight throw at the other as arms wind around the other’s neck to let her tuck her face within the crook of the woman’s neck and breath deep the reality of her lover’s return, grip tight as she feels the warmth of the other bring life once more back to bones which had grown cold in her absence ; as Persephone brought life to the land upon her return, so too did Kassandra bring life to her  h e a r t.
