Bella smiled at the younger woman. Sometimes it was difficult for submissives to grow accustom to calling someone by their given name, but Bella was hardly one to stand on ceremony. The only time that she demanded respect was if someone spoke against her family. Watching what Kassandra did for next time, Bella made a mental note. “It is a shame that no one has yet to figure out how to remove a sent email. That feature would be most helpful for many.” The important thing was that her documentations were back where they belong. She’d have to run a few extra encryption protocols just to be safe from any future careless mistakes.
“That would be wonderful.” She smiled, packing her laptop back up. “I fear that I haven’t been sleeping as well as I would like.” She couldn’t imagine how crazy things were for Kassandra with everything that was going on. “I can only imagine. Do they still schedule three exams on the same day if you are not careful with your schedule?”
“There are a few email services that delay an email delivery that allows the sender an option to undo the sending. And there may be even a few extensions or applications you could download for that as well. Would you like me to look some up for you?” she offered. It would be a simple enough task for Kassandra to complete for Arabella.
“I recognize that it may be hypocritical of me to say, but I think you need to rest,” she urged the Dominant. “I know it is also difficult to do so at the current moment, but we need us all to look out for one another. So this is me advising you to take a break,” she offered with a soft chuckle. “It happens on occasion but I have been careful enough to avoid that sort of circumstance. And nowadays, most of my exams tend to be presentations or research papers, thankfully.”
With a nod, Kassandra excused herself for a moment to pour two cups of coffee. Unsure how Arabella took her drink, the submissive tried to balance some sugar packets and creamer cups along with her. Upon her return, she carefully and slowly placed everything down on a tabletop. “I hope this helps, even if a little.”

Charlie: Yes, they're in the tower. Actually, a lot of the unclaimed subs are now living here. Not that I blame them. It's scary out there. Dulcie would love that. She's been going stir crazy, I think.
Charlie: I'm praying that it would. I'm so tired of them lurking around. Oh no, he's been meeting me outside the Tower. Although, so far, I've made sure that I'm back before it gets dark. The last thing I want to do is inconvenience the poor guy.
Kassandra: That is true now that I think about it. I suppose we can't really blame them, myself included. And I will have to reach out to Gabrielle then.
Kassandra: He seems really considerate and kind to escort you. And you're certain he's reliable and trustworthy? I don't want anything to happen to you, Charlie.

At the godmother comment, Diana chuckled, holding the door open long enough for Kassandra to come inside. Once she did, she gave her friend at a hug. “You know you never need to apologize for coming to visit me. It’s been far too long since we’ve been able to spend time together. And besides, even now I’m still not sleeping that much more than usual.”
She led the both of them into the kitchen so that she could finish up the batch of Neapolitan ribbons she was trying to make. “So, tell me what you’ve been up to recently.”
Kassandra was so grateful, and even though Diana would dismiss her concerns, she didn’t wish to take advantage of her dear friend. And to drop in so suddenly at the late hour... Kassandra knew it potentially presented an inconvenience. “While that worries me, a part of me is glad to hear that you have not changed much.”
As they entered the kitchen, Kassandra could easily smell the baked goods that Diana was concocting. Her treats were always so delicious and always full of love. “Lately? Oh, um... well I’m finishing up this summer semester soon and then hopefully will have about a week of break before the next semester begins. And thankfully my research position will start up again next month as well. It will actually feel a little weird to not have anything to do for a week though. I’m not sure what I will do with myself!” With a chuckle, she leaned on the counter as she watched Diana continue to tend to her baking. “What about yourself? How is claimed life nowadays?”

Carlo waited as she took a moment before bringing the violin up. As she started playing, however, a grin appeared on his face. She really was good, at least in his opinion. The music sounded lovely, and he watched her as she seemingly lost herself in what she was playing. Waving off her comment, he shook his head. “Nonsense, it sounded beautiful even without the piano. Thank you for actually playing something for me. It really was great.”
With a laugh, he nodded, “Believe me, keeping your praise in check is really more for the well-being of every person who has to deal with me on a regular basis. If my ego gets any more inflated, they’ll think I’m unbearable.” He winked at her. A short laugh, sounding like a huff, escaped him at her comment. “You really think I should start trying to learn how play an instrument, or something?”
Once more, Kassandra couldn’t help but blush at his compliment, a few strands of hair falling to cover her face. “Thank you for listening, sir.” While she hadn’t had many chances to practice and play in a while, hearing the praise was encouraging. Maybe she could convince her parents to let her play more often.
“You, unbearable, sir? I could hardly believe it,” she chuckled before realizing that she must have let slip another compliment to him. “Sorry. I guess trying to keep my praise in check is a lot more difficult than I anticipated.” With a nod, she grinned and continued. “If it’s something that interests you. I truly believe it is never too late to learn something new. Is there a particular instrument that you’re drawn to?”

“Just Arabella please.” The Domme messaged her temples as Kassandra came over. How could she make such a stupid mistake? The brunette had not been the same since Oz’s arrest, but this was just careless. “The email darling.” She gestured towards the laptop with the circle slowly spinning around and around again. Was her mind that little circle? It certainly felt as useless.
Once the email had been stopped, Bella breathed a sigh of relief. While not technologically impaired, she knew that the research assistant was far more knowledgeable than she on these matter. “Thank you, Kass. You are a life saver.” The last thing that Bella wanted to send out was the spreadsheet detailing all the properties that she had hoped to acquire. “I’m fine. Just a bit tired. And yourself? I apologize. It has been far too long since last we spoke.”
“I am just glad I was able to help, Miss, I mean, Arabella,” she said, finding it odd on her tongue to not use any sort of prefix before a Dominant’s name. As the starting noises rang, Kassandra opened up the email program and up popped the drafted message the Dominant had not meant to send. “Okay, there it is. Let’s check your sent folder to ensure nothing was delivered,” she said as she clicked on the tab. “We managed to stop it in time. Here you go,” she added as she stepped to the side now.
“Could I get you a coffee? I’m on my way to grab a cup myself before heading back to my studies,” she offered. “I’m afraid things have been so hectic lately that we all are scrambling a little.”

Charlie: It hadn't been all bad for me. Plus, my apartment is next to Val, so I've been hanging out with her. I feel a little bad for Gabi however. She stuck with Dulcie who's restless. Can't say I blame her, when I was her age, I hated being cooped up.
Charlie: She's wonderful, but it will be fine. I'm sure all this will pass soon. When the reporters finds out that there's no story here, they'd leave. That's a great idea! Although, There is a dominant who's offered to escort me around. He's a Capulet though, so he's never been inside the Tower.
Kassandra: Oh yes, Gabrielle and Dulci... Are they in the Tower? I should try and check in on them, and maybe let Dulci spend some time at my apartment. It might not be much, but perhaps even the tiniest change of scenery could really help.
Kassandra: I hope so. It has been such a hassle coming in and out of the Tower for class and even just errands. Oh? Well that's very kind of him. I am not sure that he may be allowed into the Tower at this time, though that may be something to run by Miss Martina.

Lottie: I'm on vacation now anyway and well away from the chaos. Let me know if you want to come and join me.
Kassandra: Okay, but if you decide to move to the Tower, you are welcome to stay with me until this all blows over. Even if you just need a place for a night or two, my place is open.
Kassandra: That's right--you are. I hope you're have a great time. Where are you off at?

Text: The Tower is certainly the safest place to be. Yes it is difficult to get out at times but it means you are safe while you are here. There is plenty of security in place at the Tower but there is not a lot of extra so I cannot promise security to other places or not to the level of the Tower.

“Romeo and Juliet,” he supplied. “I’ve enjoyed most of the shows I’ve attended, that includes. I’m afraid you’ve missed it’s run though— it was only set to be performed a few weeks in June, and most of the otter shows sold out once word spread of how well received it was. Pity.” He shrugged, adding, “I’m afraid I don’t follow though. What was it about Psycho? When I think of visually stunning, newer films with stunning visuals filmed with more technologically advanced equipment is what comes to mind.”
“What lovely names. What was the story about? I’m a little disappointed that I’ve missed it--I’m sure it was absolutely wonderful if it did so well,” she commented in surprise. Perhaps she needed to look into more shows at the theatre; it might be something she’d rather enjoy if she ever had the time. “Please forgive my sudden film excitement coming out,” she chuckled shyly. “What Alfred Hitchcock did in Psycho was revolutionary at the time. He used techniques that usually worked for television and transferred that to the big screen. More specifically, for horror films. He managed to use very simple techniques to create suspense while showing very little so that the audience is forced to imagine the worst.” It was a lot she realized, more so than could probably be conveyed over a dinner conversation. “It was something I picked up when I read a book about his work.”

“It seems that we do. What a small world, for us to have run into each other today.” Alex didn’t often think there were many other people out there that had similar work habits, but clearly Kassandra did. He wanted to ask for her number so that they could talk more, preferably when he was feeling better, but he didn’t know how to ask without seeming weird. “Thanks again for everything you’ve done to help me.”
“Of course. I’m glad I could help, even if just a little.” She continued to glance up and down the road, checking for a vehicle that matched the description on her phone. The last thing she wanted was for the Dominant to miss his ride and for his day to get any worse. “The car should arrive in a couple more minutes. Are you hanging in there, sir?”

“Oh god..” Allegra pauses trying to remember. “…At least 15? I tend to lose count, but I try and go once a year even if it’s just for a week, and I went with my parents when I was younger if they count?”
Perhaps it’s their mixed background that has bonded them, or their mutual love for Asian cuisine and Old Hollywood. But she’s grateful she’s got Kassandra in her life and the gentle air she brings to those around her. “Perhaps our parents will decide to take another trip together and we can convince them to let us come along. I’d give anything for a bowl of good Sop Buntuk or fresh Pempek”
Her hand reaches out, touching at Kass’ gently to get her attention. “Don’t be sorry Sinta. You didn’t kidnap the girl. Verona.. Well she always has a flair for the dramatics. Worse storms have passed through here, this tempest in a teapot is no exception. Is it?”
“Oh that sounds lovely, and it’s great that you did that with your parents. There is always something so nostalgic and... connecting when you travel somewhere with family. Of course, at the same time I have heard that sometimes traveling with family can be difficult, depending on the members.”
Kassandra smiled and gave a small nod, finding a comfort in Allegra’s offer. “That would be quite nice. And that does sound quite delicious. It’s been a while since I’ve also been able to speak any sort of Chinese. Granted, it is a little different dialect there, but it would be nice to just be immersed in that culture--a nice change of scenery, really.”
At the term of affection, Kassandra eased a little and smiled slightly. Perhaps it was because Allegra was family and a Dominant, but the bit of reassurance eased some of her concerns. “That is true. I sometimes wish Verona could be a little calmer and quieter at times.”

“Yes, well this is hardly your fault. You are not responsible for the elevator functioning or not and I doubt you moonlight as part of the maintenance team,” Angelica offered. The Domme nodded her head. “Yes. Mostly we connect via email or texts but there are a few discussions better left having in person. However that proves to be difficult from time to time with his schedule and the unpredictability of the hospital, plus mine.” She glanced at her watch. “What time does your class start?”
Kassandra nodded, allow the Domme’s words to reassure her even if just a little. She continued to take slow deep breaths, focusing on the solid ground beneath her and less on the frozen moment they were stuck in. “I imagine you both must be incredibly busy individuals, busy and important,” she added with a small chuckle. “In a couple of minutes, miss. I’m afraid I have to resign myself to being a little late if we are ever to escape this elevator any time soon.”
