Eevee
Made for a friend for Christmas! Gave it to her WAAAAY late. >< But it's super cute and didn't take too long. (Kinda wish I could have kept her :p) Thinking about making a Flareon for myself :3
Renaissance Faire huntressÂ
This is what I wore to the renaissance faire today, and I got so many compliments on the outfit, the skirt, the cloak/shawl, and the dragon!! I've never been stopped so many times in my life! I loved it :3 It was fun talking to the shopkeepers and even exchanging Ravelry accounts with a faire-goer. My sister's outfit looked just as good, possibly even better! I'll upload her later when I've edited her photo to not include her face... she doesn't have access to social media yet and it's not my place to put her face up here. Anyways, sometime soonish (maybe after finals), I will take good pics of the individual pieces and describe how I made them or what I made them out of. Â
I like your face.
You have quite a lovely face yourself, anon :3
Baby Griffon!!!
So the Renaissance Faire is this weekend (I will take pics!), and I will be carrying around my dragon. I didn't want my sister to be without a companion, soooo I made her a griffon! It's so fluffy and fuzzy! I'm so excited how she turned out. Working the amigurumi stitches with the fun fur was interesting, but I think it was the best type of yarn to use to get that fuzzy baby bird look. I wanna try and make another with different colors, but we'll see. I have a commission to work on, plus finals and such so we'll see how that goes. MAYBE if I get good at them I'll sell them. :3Â
Silly but warm hat :3
I wanted to make a silly hat that was wearable in public and I absolutely loved the yarn I used (Lion Brand Homespun). The sun was very bright when I took the pictures so it shows the hat in a much better light :) Pattern is on is my etsy shop, ImyKatCreations.Â
NEW ETSY SHOP!
I just opened my brand new Etsy shop!! I only have three things on the list at the moment, but I'm working on it. :) (It juuuust might take a while, because vet school does suck up my life... and October is the worst month.)Â
Anyways! Check out my small selection (soon to be growing) here! http://www.etsy.com/shop/ImyKatCreations?ref=search_shop_redirect
Link Hat complete with Hair and Ears!Â
If you ignore the crappy quality of the camera, and my goofy faces, you will see the progress of this Link Hat. I'm pretty proud of it! Soon it will have a new owner, and I'm excited for them to have it!Â
Cloudkicker
She's a side pegasus pony. I think she turned out pretty great considering the color of her body DOESN'T EXIST in the yarn I use :/ I wish dying acrylic were possible, but alas. Anyway! I think she's adorable and I hope her new owner likes her!Â
This is Squish, and he’s with me in the lab at my school. :) I’m gonna try and make an army of these for an artists table at an anime con next month. This picture is for bring your amigurumi to work day.
WHOOP WHOOP!!Â
I apologize that I haven't been posting any of my projects, but I am knee deep into vet school and I'm also trying to set up an etsy shop so I can make some extra cash.Â
AND I need to plan a costume for an anime con coming up, as well as prepare for my birthday party (i.e. get moar cash), and I may be tutoring someone, and I just started jui jitsu and kickboxing, and etc, etc, etc.Â
I AM making stuff, though! I promise! Vet school's just taking up 85% of my time.Â
tl/dr: I love all of you for following me, and I'm sorry I haven't made/posted stuff in a while but I'm super busy with real life. :/Â
New Blog
I made a casual blog.
kat-cat.tumblr.com
I haven't posted anything yet, and probably won't until later tonight.Â
Kitty Cat Blanket for Kat! I FINALLY got to get started on my blanket! After over two years!!! AND I finished it! WOO!
I made it with the Lion Brand Homespun yarn, and used the interlocking block pattern for most of it. The border is triple crochet and there is one half double crochet somewhere in there! :p I just kinda took it by sight and forethought---no pattern. The tail was supposed to be more circular, but I still love the way it came out! It's very soft and warm. Perfect for all the cuddle times! :D
Legend of Zelda Link Hat
This was commissioned in February, and I finished it about a month ago, but here are some pics of me modeling it. I’m just glad I got it right on the first try! I hope it fits his head, too :pÂ
Would you post the pattern?
I honestly didn't write a pattern while making this, sorry! 'n_n But here's what I do know:
I started off with a magic circle of 6 (I think), then worked in a sc round, slowly increasing when necessary (by looking at it and making sure it looked like a triangle) until the opening was big enough to fit around my head. Then I worked in a hdc round and slowly decreased so that it would be snug around the head (but not too snug!) I kept trying it on until it looked right. If it didn't look right, I'd undo some of it and try again.Â
Sorry this isn't as informative as an actual pattern, but I do hope this helps!!Â
The Swarm is Coming
...and it's adorable! These are Zerglings and a Baneling from Starcraft, or more specifically Starcrafts by Carbot Animations. These were made just because I had the extra yarn and the time, and they turned out pretty cute! But not as cute as the originals! To watch them, go here:Â http://www.youtube.com/user/CarbotAnimations
If you've played starcraft, you'd understand the videos, but if you haven't, it's still fun to watch and it doesn't take long!Â

Did someone call The Doctor?Â
I started making the Doctor Whooves poof a while back, and actually finished it a while back! 'n_n I've just been so busy making a bunch of other stuff! I'll post more pictures in a few, I promise! Also, I started watching Doctor Who, (starting with the 9th Doctor) and I absolutely love it!Â
