The relationship between Anakin and Ahsoka is the most beautiful one in the entire Star Wars universe, and I can’t even fully describe it in words. She’s more than a daughter, a friend, or a sister to him , Ahsoka represents everything Anakin is, and everything he failed to be. She was his moral anchor

And I’ll say this loud and clear: Anakin would never have fallen to the dark side if Ahsoka had been there with him.

Don’t get me wrong — I would never, ever blame Ahsoka for leaving the Order and choosing her own path. I just want to make it clear that she was one of the main reasons Anakin began to see what the Jedi Order truly was.

Ahsoka was something to Anakin that there isn’t even a word for — she was everything, and then some. I can’t even imagine how he must have felt when it all happened and she had to leave

You do not know a single thing about me, what I like about them, how I interpret them, or what version I ship. You just immediately went “you’re sick.”

Honestly? That projection says more about you than me.

I’m not here to babysit your assumptions, but I’ll just paste this for future reference: There ARE people who like the potential of them, not in tcw timeline. The fact that nothing happens in the show is literally the beauty of their dynamic. If Ahsoka’s age at first meeting matters so much, go yell at Obikin.

It’s so fucking hilarious “the voice actor said…” ofc she would say that she’s from George Lucas and David Filoni SW so people like you who ship cannon think it’s only CORRECT

Feel free to block me or tell me not to like your post. I couldn’t care less about you. There are more people just like me than you could imagine. This kind of message is exactly what the internet has become: people who can’t manage their emotions dumping them on random strangers online.

Me, on the other hand, happen to make peace and friends (including YOUR ship. yeah, imagine kindness existing). No one has ever reacted negatively when I talk about my ship because I’m being cautious enough.

I need some people to understand that I will absolutely ship two characters who would absolutely never get together in canon simply because I want to. No I don’t think they’re canon nor will I look for subtext that they like each other. In fact, I don’t even want them to be canon. I just like the art and fanfiction man. Like their shippers low-key got something fire going on and I wanna be a part of that. It really isn’t that deep.

Oh man ME TOO! I thought it was just me. I haaaate it. To be honest, there is SOMETHING about Padme in general in the Clone Wars that grates on me so much. I think it’s the character design, maybe? I have no idea but any episodes that center on her are a SLOG for me to get through. And I ADORE movie!Padme and Natalie Portman, and I SHOULD appreciate the way Clone Wars depicts her but…

at least a part of it is probably just that hayden and Natalie are two very pretty people and the animation completely failed to capture that, but it's also probably more than that. Like when I'm watching tcw i feel like I'm watching a PSA on relationship red flags and fine, i guess that's useful for the kids, but as a non-target audience i don't feel educated and they aren't even hot /half serious answer

Shippers get a lot of lashings for being annoying and “forcing romance” but not enough is being said about people who force the nuclear family structure on everything. Nothing against found families, but the amount of people who seem to cram every dynamic into a cookie cutter nuclear family mold is driving me insane. It’s another lowkey reductive way of engaging with characters that pretends to less reductive than the shippers they constantly complain about. Not every relationship can be categorized as “sibling coded” or “father-daughter” because most relationships are more complicated than that. Don’t even get me started on the way these people use “coding” *cough* their headcanons *cough* to shut down ships they dislike.

Aw anon I'm sorry, I haven't put much thought into it! Just that they have this deep connection, and with Anakin in particular he only has these few people in that category and those relationships easily transition into obsession, which easily becomes shippy... With Ahsoka losing her like he did makes it more potent in a way, creates a kind of crisis point, a rupture, in which boundaries become flux (as does his own explosion, but that creates it's own barriers), making that connection something he might grasp onto in an unhealthy way... idk, yeah, anisoka has. pathos. and potential. and lots of pathos.

Anakin gives off such demi monogamous soulmate-seeking vibes I can’t even believe most au romance scenarios with him. I’m convinced he never would have been so gone on Padme if she’d just been a beautiful senator he just met, if he hadn’t imprinted on her so hard as a kid during an extremely formative experience and then nursed a fixation for 10 years. Like obikin in canonverse is one thing but I’ll never believe a fic where he meets Obi Wan and just. falls in love. He has to love him before he can fall in love with him. You know? This is why there are so few ships for him that mesh for me.

anakin is touch starved

okay, I have a really strong headcanon about Anakin that could easily be actual canon lime, this man is clearly touch-starved. he’ll brush up against Ahsoka, run his hand along her arms until she intertwines her fingers with his; he’ll wrap his arms around her waist whenever he can; he’ll come to her, breathless and red-eyed from crying in the middle of the night after a nightmare, and she’ll comfort him until he falls asleep.

that’s just who Anakin is, he’s always been that way, and he always will be. But he’s only that hungry for touch with someone he trusts completely and look, take it as a platonic relationship or not, but ever since Ahsoka came into his life, he’s seen the world differently, you know? She’s everything to him, she represents him.

to me, Ahsoka means more to Anakin than the physical world could ever explain. The way they’re connected is beautiful — whether as friends, siblings, master and padawan, father and daughter, lovers, or however you choose to interpret their relationship
