shout out to all the systems that formed from “unusual” trauma or trauma that's never talked about in this community - being bullied, sibling abuse or abuse from someone that's not your parent, near death experience(s), medical abuse, and anything and everything else

you're all valid. the child's brain is incredibly fragile and everyone is traumatized differently. just because your trauma wasn't from a parent, doesn't make you any less valid.

i wish more people spoke about the other sources of trauma

Hello everyone! After a busy year, I've wrangled the chaos and got it settled down enough to where I can do a grand (and proper) relaunch of Lunar Lakes Apothecary!

We now have 22 listings on our Ko-Fi store, ranging from original scents and our themed ones. Our themed scents are the Harry Potter inspired line and our new addition, the Five Nights Series - inspired by Five Nights at Freddy's. Starting off the new theme are a trio of soaps inspired by the three Daycare Attendants seen in FNAF: Security Breach - Sun, Moon and Eclipse.

In addition to that, we also still have the tarot and rune reading options available. They will get spruced up with graphics and such at a later date, but will remain functionally the same.

Celestial Court AU - Lord Moon and Lord Eclipse. I don't think I've posted anything about this AU here on Tumblr. But it's an AU of my "A Clown's Crush" story, featuring the same cast but in a medieval-fantasy setting. Sun, Moon and Eclipse are Fey Lords, a trio that make up the Celestial Court. Desmond is a changeling that has no recollection of what he is and was recently disowned by his family, and Mercury (the court fool) was the one Desmond replaced. Moon is Lord of Winter Nights, and Eclipse is Lord of Transitions and Eclipses. Moon rules winter, and Eclipse technically rules Spring and Fall (helping to transition power between Moon and Sun.) I'll be posting the other three (Sun, Mercury, Desmond) soon and getting started on the story proper! Lord Sun is the youngest of the trio of lords and full of boundless youthful energy. He's the one that's closest to mortals, enjoying spending time with them however he can and is often responsible for spiriting away children to take care of in their realm. He's an absolute caregiver and adores taking care of people (but especially fond of taking care of children). When making deals, Sun is normally the one that softens peoples' perceptions of them to coax people to agree to deals with him and Moon.

Mercury was the child that Desmond replaced, and was one of the people Sun took in after he was taken. He was given his name to match the Court, and he's grown into the position of a court fool and advisor. He also acts as the delegate if they need someone more 'human' to attend to matters on the mortal plane.

Desmond is a changeling that replaced Mercury, who has no memory of what he truly is. He's been in an abusive situation with his family since they started suspecting what he was - which ultimately reached a peak during the Great Famine, in the heart of winter in 1316. He was disowned and kicked out of home, and somehow he managed to find his way to one of the faerie gates that would take him to the Celestial Court's realm for safety.
