are alters just aspects of your personality that shattered (split off)? or are they an additional personality that has not been formed based on your personality whatsoever?

That’s a little complicated. I’m personally not an expert in it, but the way I understand it (and anyone please correct me if I’m wrong) is that when repeated trauma happens when you’re young and your core personality hasn’t quite cemented itself together, parts of it can split off to form alters. I hope that answers your question and I hope I interpreted the information I know correctly.

I passed the written test yesterday but I failed a portion of the physical test. I’m going to have to keep going to my physical therapy, working out and try again in August.

So we got a new dog and I really want Aurora and the other littles to meet him with someone else present so that if she gets scared they can step in. Problem is, Ben keeps saying that we can do it tomorrow. He’s been saying that since we got him 3 weeks ago. So here’s how the past month has been going. On October 16th two of my cousins passed away (one being only like 4 years old), my other cousin (the husband of the second one that passed away) tested positive for COVID on October 28th, on November 2nd I tested positive for COVID, on November 3rd my great aunt, great uncle, and stepdad tested positive, on November 4th or 5th my mom and 84 year old Nana tested positive, on November 5th my great uncle had to go to the hospital because of the COVID and found out he had double pneumonia, on November 10th my cousin who had COVID had a heart attack and needed two stints put in, and also on November 10th my great uncle also had a heart attack and passed away. I’ve essentially been put in charge of the arrangements for his cremation because my mom’s still too sick, my Nana and great aunt aren’t in the state of mind to do it, and my cousin is still recovering from the heart attack. I’m stressed beyond belief and honestly really struggling right now. Could use some thoughts and/or prayers. Please stay healthy everyone.

This is a whole shit show. My uncle said if he wasn’t feeling better today he’d have to go to the hospital, I almost passed out last night, and I woke up today to a text from my mom saying she passed out and knocked a lamp over on herself last night and may have cracked a rib. My god
