Here I see the melancholic Juliet (of the age when dramatic love is still romantic).

(Ли Бо, китайский поэт VIII в.) Моя иллюстрация в #ASTROBOOK. Я представляю такое редкое атмосферное и оптическое явление, как "глория" - радужные кольца на поверхности тумана или низких облаков. Глорию на востоке также называют "Светом Будды" - спускаясь с вершин гор, китайские монахи видели вокруг собственной тени радужный ореол и воспринимали это, как знак о скором просветлении. Одно из самых красивых мест, где часто можно наблюдать глорию, - горы Хуаншань. А в этой иллюстрации я упомянула еще одно частое явление в горах - облачное море. My illustration for #ASTROBOOK. I present such a rare atmospheric and optical phenomenon as "gloria" - iridescent rings on the surface of fog or low clouds. Gloria in the east is also called the "Light of Buddha" - descending from tops of the mountains, Chinese monks saw a rainbow halo around their own shadows and perceived this as a sign of imminent enlightenment. One of the most beautiful places where you can often see gloria is the Huangshan Mountains. And in this illustration, I mentioned another frequent phenomenon in the mountains - the cloudy sea.

Like what I wrote many years ago: "And the sky without leaves is big, and life is big. And summer - see you later! - waves with my hand."

An ancient Scottish legend tells that a certain Thomas Lermont, who was famous for playing the lute, was kidnapped by the Queen of the Magic Land of the Elves. For seven years he served the Queen, and as a gift for the service she endowed him with the ability to speak only the truth. Seven years later, he was released to the human world to enlighten and amaze the Scots with the power of prophecy, on the condition that he return to his mistress as soon as she wishes. Many years passed. Once, when Thomas was feasting with friends at Ersildurn Castle, a man, frightened and surprised, rushed into the hall and said that two deer had come out of the nearby forest. They calmly and slowly walk through the streets of the village. Thomas realized that these were messengers from the Country of Elves. The soothsayer got up, left his dwelling and followed the amazing beasts. He was never seen again.
