Recently there’s been something of an urban legend cropping up around various beachside towns across America. A young woman who becomes the life of every party she stumbles into or hosts. All who meet her say she’s kind, upbeat, brutally honest, and loves to bring out the best in people. Her hair is a big mess of iridescence, which she usually wears in a big ponytail. She dresses lightly, always showing her shoulders and midriff as to deal with the summer heat. Besides her violet eyes and complexion, her most distinguishing feature is a southeastern dragon tattoo on either of her arms.

Those who have really gotten to know her claim that she is much more than meets the eye. That she can control water with her mind, or make her hair glow in the dark, and even, when she’s in the right mood, she can even transform herself into a blue furred naga and swim and fly along the coast.

While her attitude and outlook has hardly changed in the months since she appeared, her figure certainly has. Her first sighting, the girl was pretty much gaunt and quick on her feet. But as the weeks turned to months of continuous partying and hanging out on boardwalks, having access to nothing but comfort foods, her slim figure began to fill out her outfits. In her latest outing, her belly hung over her shorts, plump and jiggly, as well as a few of her other curves. The girl doesn’t seem bothered much by her weight gain, embracing her body with an unbreakable self esteem, remarking that she’ll go on a diet….. eventually.

Nobody really knows her name. She’s given several when encountered, depending on where she pops up. Katie, Nora, Lynn, Billi, Rebecca, etc. In any case, she doesn’t seem to be aware of the growing crowd determined to learn what her deal is. Especially if these claims of her supernatural qualities have any truth to them.

This nice, plump lady who has been spotted all over the country eating and playing and dancing can’t possibly be a mythical beast in disguise, can she?
