Okay, so, apparently one night while Sheev, Raf, and Britt (plus whoever else was there) were shooting the shit-- Eden started pretending to be drunk.
And by "pretending to be drunk"-- I mean in the way a good Mormon boy in middle school who has never eaten a drug or sippied a booze or experienced an adult who does would-- bY tYpInG lIkE tHiS.
Later claiming that it was because they drank moldy, or grape juice that had gone off-- something like that.
You know, that sort of thing that you'd expect a grade schooler you tricked into buying Nutmeg off you would say to explain why they pretended to be high.
Amd basically how Eden's little gaggle of attackbuds was justifying that was like, "oh you just hate eden because they age regress, you just hate eden because they have child alters, they were rapid switching 'tis all" blah blah blah blah. They were assigning a lot of symptoms you could generously describe as potential signs of psychosis to being the result of Eden's DID, totally talking out their asses in that particular weaponized abelist incompetence they typically use to deflect criticism.
It got to the point where sheev was having to explain how fucking fermentation works. I think either sheev or britt checked with me a few times to *make sure* they weren't just being abelist, as is the responsible thing to do-- and yeah. Fucking wild reading that.
Sue me, I guess, misinformation about a disorder *I have* does bother me. So I made a post publically. Made the most luke warm statement ever that, "no typically alters can't rapid switch and remain unaware of each other, yes you can hold the whole system accountable for the actions of one alter, dissociation isn't psychosis."
These are literally just common misconceptions I see about DID in general-- like none of this is a hottake.
Apparently Eden has both psychotic episodes *and* dissociative episodes-- information I was just supposed to magically fucking know as someone who never once interacted with them. [And doesn't even actually change my original grievance-- because they were attributing this behavior to their DID. Didn't even fuckinh bring up Eden's psychosis.
Still fucking misinformation that needed to be corrected.]
But like, someone with *just* DID-- even if it was a child alter pretending to be drunk, like, okay. Say, "sorry I was pretending to be drunk. It was a child alter fronting. I know that was weird. My bad fam. Need to do some system care I think."
Swallow your fucking pride and button your shit up. Completely reasonable. Did not need to be turned into a whole thing.
DID for sure is a disorder where you will find yourself doing/saying really weird shit where, unlike a normal person, you're asking yourself just as much as everyone is asking you why you did/said that. And one of the challenges of learning to live with the disorder is for sure, learn how to do system management and care, etc. Live your life partially by fucking community vote-- and god knows what the other fuckers are getting up to. Yeah.
But it's like that Tumblr post you see floating around sometimes that goes something like, "having IBS doesn't make it acceptable to just shit in the middle of the grocery store."
As someone with weird, nutso trauma gremlin child alters, that leave me so vulnerable it's genuinely like-- a concern in my daily life that one will get triggered if I get too stressed (I have to be v e r y s t r e s s e d-- so it's not a common occurrence for me, but.)
It's a bit of a kick to the cunt a bit here. All child alters leave a person kinda vulnerable, for sure. But it seems to me Eden's got some of the more typical child alters.
