Business Never Pleasure ♕ Freya & Kate (Thurs. Night Sept 25th)
“Well you should call me Freya, but I suppose if that doesn’t work for you, you can call me Ms. Stenberg.” Names and titles were so complicated now, things used to be so simple. Everyone used to have an established place and lines weren’t crossed, she missed those days. Although, the whole misogyny thing that dominated the Human world was such bullshit. Why Kate wouldn’t just call her Freya and she could Edmund by his fist name, she would never understand. She nodded as the young Witch explained that the Necromancer could help her. “Yes, you should listen to Miss Grekov and get her to help you. She’s powerful, not as powerful as Edmund, sure, but she cares about you, he doesn’t. Her grandmother’s a seer as well, is she not? Trust your own people. I know you don’t trust me or believe me, but Edmund only wants you strong for himself.” The Elf figured Kate wouldn’t listen to a word she had to say, but she had to say them nonetheless; maybe something would get through to her in the end. Freya heard the sigh, and she understood the reasoning behind it, but she had no problem with having Kate followed and she was sure she would have to do it again in the future. “Well we are all glad you are here. You are one of us and we will do everything in our power to keep you safe.” She smiled softly at the Witch, hoping that despite everything Kate would feel welcome in DC. “Hunters are always an issue, they always have been, and always will be. I know we are all truly grateful that your vision stopped at least some of them. I hope that if something like that ever happens again, you’ll feel comfortable coming forward. You never know what could be important. There is still quite a lot that you don’t know. Share any visions and dreams with your coven leader.” The Elven Queen hoped Willow would be her first instinct and not Edmund, although she had gone to Oz before and apparently hadn’t even known the man. “Kate, I might be able to help you with some of the problems, being a telepath. I was one of the first you know? I’ve trained thousands, hundreds of thousands probably. How to control the thoughts, how to shut them out, how to sift through them, I know what that’s like.” Freya hadn’t truly thought to offer her help to Kate in this way before, but it really only made sense and the Elf couldn’t definitely be of service to the girl if she were willing to take it.
“Ms. Stenberg it is,” she said smiling. “And yes I’m working on my seer powers with Willow’s grandmother already. Quite regularly actually. I’m making progress but quite frankly it’s exhausting. And excuse me if I’m frank, but isn’t that what all of you want? Me to grow in my powers and become a capable seer so you can use my powers for whatever reasons? I’m not stupid, I know you all want me on your side, everyone of you; even Willow. And yes, she does care about me, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to use me too.” The smile remained on her face; she wasn’t really judging or blaming; it was just how things were and in Freya’s place she would probably do the same thing. At some point Kate would have to decide what side she wanted to be on and what she ultimately wanted to do with her powers, but there was still a lot she had to learn until she even could do that. “I will help the Fae in this city, or even beyond, as much as I can and will of course discuss my visions with my coven leader first unless the situation doesn’t allow it. When I had the other vision time was a pressing issue and I went directly to Oz, whom I had seen in my vision. It turned out to be the right decision and I am grateful for that. I am aware that there was some luck in play too and that visions are not always as easy to read as this one was.” She took a drink of her glass and shrugged. “I’m sorry if that’s not what you hoped for.” Tilting her head to the side she was actually surprised by the woman’s offer. “That’s a gracious offer Ms. Stenberg, but I’m not a Telepath and I’m not sure … I think my gift works different from yours, so I don’t even know if that could work.”
Hunters, and Seers and Fae, Oh My! ✦ Kate & Petre (Sunday Night Sept 14 after the Carnival)
“Yeah, but she attacked me at work even after I showed her your damage,” he teased. “And yes, if anyone hurt you I’d kill them,” he voice was still playfully, but there was a serious note to it as well. He didn’t want to seem overbearing or scare Kate by his admission, so he added, “I’m pretty sure Leigha would too and definitely Oz.” Petre hadn’t told Kate about his conversation with Oz and the Wolf’s threat before. He didn’t want her to feel like she needed to say something to him about it; he wasn’t some bitch that needed her protection. “Still she just doesn’t get it, and I think she’s just written me off as a dick.”
He didn’t care about Leigha or Oz though, he had Kate right now and that’s all that mattered. When she groaned, he ground into her, nowhere near ready to be done with her and she had already planted a delicious set of images in his mind. He tried to keep his face from hiding his disappointment, wanting to be understanding of her needs and in all honesty, she was probably right. If people had been following Kate, they knew where he lived, although he still felt like she’d be safer there. “Alright,” he nodded stepping back to give her some space, but kept his hands on her hips. When she pulled away completely, he let her go, accepting defeat.
After a moment he reached out for her hand. “It’s okay, really. I’m just glad you’re alright that’s all that matters to me.” He stepped towards her, but didn’t want to bring them together if that’s not what she wanted. “I understand, but promise me if anything happens you’ll let me know,” he paused watching her for a minute before placing a gentle kiss to her lips once more and tucking some hair behind her ear. His hand lingered on her face before withdrawing it. “I’m not leaving ‘til Leigha gets here. I don’t care what you say I’m not leaving you alone. Now come on, let’s go watch some TV ‘til mommy gets here,” he ticked his head to the side and plastered on a cheesy smile.
Petre tugged Kate out of the bathroom and into the living room. He plopped himself on the couch and pulled her into his side before passing over the remote so she could pick something. “I’m gonna hold you to that ya know?” He gave her a quick peck on the cheek and squeezed her sides.
Kate nodded at him and followed him into the living room. She didn’t really want to talk about Leigha right now, especially not with Petre. She thought she knew why Leigha went all into Petre’s face like that; thinking he was coercing her into liking rough sex, preying onto her inexperience. Kate knew that’s not what happened, but to someone on the outside it was easy to think that way. It would take some time for Leigha to really believe that’s not what had happened.
She snuggled up to him, leaning into his side and handed him the remote. “Here, you choose, I don’t watch much TV and have no idea what’s good or something,” she said quietly. “Just pick something. And I fully intend you to let me hold me to it.”
No place like home – Kate & Leigha – November 2nd, afternoon
“You could say that,” she wrinkled her nose. Leigha gave her hair another quick pass with the towel and threw it over the back of one of the dining room chairs then sat down as Kate moved to the couch. “Oh yeah. I bet you still had a better time than I did though. I came home late yesterday afternoon. I was pretty tired though so I didn’t do a whole lot. I just really didn’t want to see anymore of the sacrifice than I already had; so I decided to hide out in a guest room until the summoning.” She had been thinking about what she was going to tell Kate; about where she went after the sacrifice. Telling her she spent the night in an argument with her secret Shifter boyfriend was out of the question, per his request. “Then after I got done talking with my mom I didn’t see any other reason to stay so I just came home. What about you? You’re just getting home now so what have you been doing the last few days…weeks.”
Kate chuckled lightly; it was true though, they hadn’t seen much of each other over the last few weeks. “Well, let’s see. The last few weeks I was either working or training with Willow’s grandma or sleeping, there wasn’t much time left for anything else. And the weekend? God, I think it was cursed from the beginning, not literally though. I had to claim Petre and nobody fucking cared to tell me what that even means. I asked Willow later and … Damnit, I never wanted this to be this close. And I really don’t think he’s going to like it.” She pulled her knees to her chest hugging them. Putting her head onto her knees she looked at Leigha sideways. “I think I made a mistake. I don’t think I can be what he wants me to be for him; I’m not ready for a deep and meaningful relationship and I think he wants that. Willow even thinks he’s in love with me. What … what do you think? And do you know anything about this claiming thing? Is there a way to undo it?”

Prompt - Wardrobe
Kate likes to wear jeans and boots. Everything can be tight fitting, but not revealing too much skin, especially at her back and thighs because of the scars. When at home she likes to wear hoodies and sweatpants.

Hunters, and Seers and Fae, Oh My! ✦ Kate & Petre (Sunday Night Sept 14 after the Carnival)
Petre hummed back into the kiss and gladly accepted her tongue. When she started to pull away he pulled her lip in his mouth and nibbled gently, trying to stop her. “Mmm…yes,” he mumbled back, but then she went on and he couldn’t help himself. He growled and started bucking up into her again. “Fuck babe. I should’ve let you do this sooner.” His fingers still twisted in her hair, he tightened his grasp and pulled her head to the side. He ran his tongue along her neck and whispered into her skin, “I’ll beg so good for you and then I’ll fuck your brains out. You torture me all you want and then I’ll ravage you because I just can’t take it anymore. You can’t be the only one having all the fun now.”
As soon he heard the words he knew what was coming and he groaned right along with her. “No,” he pouted playfully reaching out to her as she climbed off leaving him alone and unsatisfied. “Fine,” he sighed propping his elbows up as Kate kissed him once more. “Uh yeah, but I’m not so clean myself. You gotta let me get rid of this because as soon as I take this off it’s gonna be a big mess.” He looked down at his now half-hard member, cum dripping out of its incasing showing Kate what he meant. “I’m coming with you because there’s no way in hell I’m waiting for you to be done and then have to sneak around like this with Leigha here,” he chuckled. “I swear she hates me. She’s not a fan of our idea of fun,” Petre smirked slyly.
He stood up, carefully stepped out of his pants and followed Kate into the bathroom, bringing the clothing along with him just in case. As soon as things were taken care of it was all too tempting to press her against the sink for a minute, kissing her softly. He pulled away, a dangerous smile displayed over his features. “You know, you could come with me. We could do all those things you talked about and more,” his hands roamed her body for a moment trying to tempt her, but his words took on a more serious note. “I’d keep you safe and I feel like anyone would be less likely to look for you there than here.”
“Sure, come along,” said looking back over her shoulder. He was right, Leigha really didn’t need to be here when he cleaned himself up. She also knew that Leigha wasn’t exactly a fan of Petre although she wasn’t quite sure why and she would actually think it was better he left as soon as she came home. She had been really careful after that first incident where Leigha had seen the bruises Petre had caused, per her asking of course. After that she had made sure to get rid of all bruises and scratches before anyone saw her. But the damage had been done and apparently nothing could convince Leigha that Petre wasn’t some asshole who was abusing her.
“She doesn’t hate you. She doesn’t know you. And she’s as protective as you are. What would you do if you saw me covered in bruises and you had not put them there?” she asked trying to assure him while she cleaned up quickly. She was just done when Petre pressed her against the sink to kiss her a low groan escaping her when he asked her to come with him and offered to do what she had just talked about.
It was a highly tempting offer; the worst urge was gone but that didn’t mean she was completely satisfied. And apparently neither was Petre. His hands roaming her body, his body pressed into hers, it made her pulse quicken again. But then he talked about keeping her safe and she came back to reality. “I doubt I would be saver at your place. It would be the third place someone would look for me. Here, Black Cat, your place. I appreciate the sentiment but Leigha and I can take care of ourselves. And I really need to stay home tonight, I would love to … make true on what I said earlier and spend the night with you, but Leigha is my friend and she’s worried about me, just like you. And I’m worried about her too. We need to talk tonight, so much has happened today.”
She freed herself from him to no give in to temptation once again and put a little distance between them. “I’m sorry this day didn’t go as planned. We will do this some other time. I promise.”
No place like home – Kate & Leigha – November 2nd, afternoon
It had been quite a long weekend and Leigha couldn’t wait to get back into her normal routine. She had spent the morning at Bakehouse and the dance studio then had come home to eat and grab a shower before some magic practice then heading to Music Hall for her shift. Leigha had just gotten out of the shower when she heard Kate calling for her. “Yeah I’m here,” she called through the crack in the bathroom door. “Just give me a minute.” She wrapped her matching towels around her head and body then went into her room to quickly dry off and throw on some clothes. “Hey stranger,” she said coming out of her room dressed and towel drying her hair. “Enjoy the rest of her majesty’s gathering?” The two girls had rarely seen each other over the past few weeks and the ball was no exception.
When she heard Leigha answer from the bathroom she took off her shoes and went into her own room. “Okay,” she answered. “I need to change too.” She had not planned to stay overnight at the mansion, let alone two nights, and now she wanted into some comfortable clothes more than anything else. She came out of her room at the same time Leigha did and grinned at her question. “What, you don’t recognize me anymore now that I’m not green?” she asked playfully and then she grimaced at her question. Moving over to the couch the flopped down sighing. “Enjoy might be exaggerating it,” she said. “You have no idea what everything happened these past two days. How about you, when did you come home? I lost you during the sacrifice I think.” After she had left Leigha’s side before the sacrifice started she had not seen her again; at first she had been too tied to the hunter and later Leigha had been gone and Kate had been too exhausted to go looking for her.
Is there a doctor in the house? || Kate & Eva|| September 29th, daytime
“No, I’m sorry…that’s not what I meant…It’s very nice to meet you Kate,” the Elf smiled broadly trying to make up for their awkward exchange. Eva felt as though she had a habit of always turning what should be easy conversations into something complicated. She certainly hadn’t intended to make the young Witch feel bad. Eva was surprised when she wanted to start with the headaches, but if they had become debilitating, of course those would be the priority. “Of course, that makes perfect sense. Just know that while it’s less likely, pregnancy is still possible, which I’m sure you’re aware of, but I have to say it regardless.” The Healer never liked having to say those uncomfortable necessary statements, but she also knew she wouldn’t be doing her job if she didn’t. “I have some natural condoms here actually. The lamb ones and even some vegan plant based ones, if you want. I’ve heard they feel more natural too,” the last time Eva had sex the products she was selling didn’t exist, so she could only go with what she had been told by her customers. “As far as the headaches, is it a constant thing, or something that comes on when you’re working, or is it more random? Have you noticed any patterns?”
Kate took a deep breath and gave the Elf a smile; they were both stuttering like idiots and apologizing to each other, it made her chuckle and shake her head at herself. “Yes, it is nice to meet you.” Kate never would have thought that someone else could be equally awkward around people, especially not someone who owned a shop and needed to talk to people quite a lot. She wondered why the Elf only had heard about the natural condoms but just assumed that someone like her would have a partner and an actual wish for children, which of course would mean that she had no reason to use them. She nodded at the statement. “Uhm yes, my … friend said something similar, that the lamb skin feels better? I guess I will have to try to find out for myself,” she said blushing lightly. “And yes, I’m aware that there’s no 100% guarantee.” She was glad when the subject changed to the headaches, it was something she felt a lot more comfortable talking about. “They’re usually worse when I didn’t get enough sleep and become worse during the day, the more I have to block others the worse is gets. Also when I’ve had especially bad dreams or have exhausted myself with my magic,” she answered. “Uhm … sex actually helps,” she added quietly. “Probably because it helps me relax.”
Back to Business – Kate & open – November 2nd, evening
The Halloween party with the hunter sacrifice and the whole Petre business and the day after with the conversation with her father had been pretty eventful for Kate and she was still working through all of it in her mind. What actually occupied her mind the most was indeed Petre and everything Willow had told her about the claiming and that he was apparently feeling a lot more for her than she had realized. She wasn’t quite able to wrap her head around it and the looming conversation the two of them would have to have was really messing with her head. Thankfully it was a quiet night at the bar, everyone seemed to still be feeling the aftermath of Halloween, and only a few regulars, mostly members of their coven, were at the bar. She was just cleaning a table that had been vacated when the door opened and someone sat down at that exact same table. “What can I get ya?” she asked with a light smile on her face.
