A lot of gender issues could be resolved if we could get rid of the notion that women aren’t allowed to have thoughts, and men aren’t allowed to have feelings.
Amen.

I like my job, but if someone were to pay me the same salary to sleep all day, I would take it.
5 years ago yesterday, I received the results from my first LSAT, which were magnificently horrible. I cried for most of the weekend. And I’m a lawyer now.
I wish I could go back in time and tell 22-year-old me that it will all be okay.
You know the little girl who loves her kitten so much, she squeezes it to death? That’s me and my mother.
She’s the little girl. I’m the kitten.
so my mother is like the little girl who gets a new kitten, and squeezes it to death because she loves it so much.
She’s the little girl. I’m the kitten.
If I win the lottery, I plan to adopt as many puppies as I can.

Wedding planning is a nightmare
So I got engaged about 3 weeks ago. It's very exciting! I'm so happy to know I'm going to be spending the rest of my life with the most wonderful man. We have agreed to wait until 2017 to get married, because, among other reasons, 2016 is really too soon & we want to buy a house before getting married. As such, we have decided to hold off on most of the wedding planning until January. However, once my mother found out we were getting engaged, she was OVER THE MOON EXCITED. Which is great. But she is so excited that she is already researching venues (in a city WE DO NOT WANT to get married) and dresses and cakes, etc. I have tried to tell her to chill out. I have tried to tell her to calm down. I have tried to tell her that she will be included, but we haven't even started wedding planning yet... Nope. Not working. Almost every conversation with her has been an argument. We have been engaged for THREE WEEKS. I have no idea how to get her to chill for a second. She's placing an awful lot of pressure on me and it hasn't been fun. No decisions have been made yet. No budget is even set and I'm getting yelled at for not inviting friends of my mother..... There is no invitations. There is no venue. There is no date.
