Spacer AU: What if Obi-Wan never rejoined the Jedi after he was sent to the AgriCorps on Bandomeer? What if he and Ahsoka went on space adventures?
After spending almost a year facing censure and causing trouble, a young Obi-Wan stows away on a transport and runs away from Bandomeer. He spent over a decade finding odd jobs across the galaxy - as a transporter, as hired muscle, in construction - to find his next meal. The crew he leaves when he was 24 finished up their last job on an outpost near Shili. Taking time to sit and scour the Holonet for his next gig, Obi-Wan stumbles upon a young Togruta girl scrapping with a gang of much bigger boys. He is surprised to witness the child display impressive, raw Force powers - more than one boy left with skinned knees after confronting her. Obi-Wan still felt the rejection of the Jedi, nearly a decade later, distant and dull. Fear for this child filled him. He couldn’t let her become a disposable foot soldier in the militant bureaucracy the Jedi were becoming.
“Do you have anyone to be with?” Obi-Wan asked the angry, tearful child. “Anybody at home?” She forcefully shook her head.
—Eventually, Obi-Wan can’t bear for another Jedi to stumble across her, as they inevitably would. He learned the child’s name was Ahsoka and that she dreamed a man with hair like fire would come be her friend and take her to the stars. The Force, so long dormant in his mind, whispered that she was meant to grow in his shade.
So that’s how Obi-Wan became a Space Dad and adopted Ahsoka and they went on space adventures.
