Sam: You're so right about the holidays being super distracting. You know how much I love the whole season, starting from Halloween to Christmas. It's why I'm totally looking forward to the whole Christmas in the summer thing we're planning.

Sam: A campfire, blankets, s'mores, hanging out with friends, having a few drinks. I like it. We should make this happen.

Katherine: I do! I can't see how anyone wouldn't like that time of year! It is like non stop excitement and things to celebrate. It's amazing! I know! That was seriously the most clever idea. It is such a great way to get over that slow time between the big holidays.

Katherine: We should! Maybe this weekend or next weekend? Find a day where almost everyone could be available?

Sam: Exactly, that's what I think. I could be totally wrong of course but who knows.

Sam: I think you're right about that. Just think back how you were in school yourself. Winter grades were lower then the ones at the start of the year and those at the end. They do have everything on there! It's amazing.

Sam: The weather makes me want to have a campfire night at the beach with a whole bunch of friends. Tell me I ain't the only one.

Katherine: I think you are totally right!

Katherine: That's exactly it! Winter is great but when you are so excited for the holidays it's hard to focus. But when its the spring semester there is so much to look forward to, you just want to work hard to get through it. I might actually get myself one then.

Katherine: Oh you are not! I think that is an awesome idea. I think that should happen soon! The weather at night is perfect for it too, still comfy enough to be about but comfortably sit around with some blankets.

CJ: Yeah! I've taken my tablet out and have been drawing sitting on the beach, or at the park. It's really relaxing

Kat: Now that sounds like such a great idea. Does it help at all? To be able to get some fresh air?

CJ: I've always liked doing it ever since I was a kid, drawing's been a big past time of mine and I kinda just... Kept up with it. That's all. It's fun, but it can also be super draining as well. I'm happy to be able to relax.

Kat: Well you deserve it! That is the upside and downside with work even when you love what you do. But I feel like it's nice to discover that balance and really enjoying that relaxing time. At least it's nice weather where there are more options of things to do now!

Sam: I think they already try doing that. I mean, they do keep bringing us sticks and the balls we throw away for them. They get us to play with them. I tell ya... Dog's are smarter than we think.

Sam: That sounds really nice. Does the sunshine influence the grades you give? Like, the more sunshine the better the grade? I haven't had the time yet to make my backyard summer ready. They've got a ton of vids on YouTube about it. Makes it a lot easier to solve them.

Katherine: You know when you put it like that it makes perfect sense! Maybe that is what they are doing! Showing us how to live the ideal life.

Katherine: You know I think it does! But I feel like spring always gives students a burst of energy too. Like they want to work harder, motivation to get back out and enjoy the sun too. Oh you have to! It is always worth it. Really? They seriously have everything on there don't they?

I’m only on top of things because I’m a mom and I have to be, if I wasn’t life would be chaos. Yes! Okay, so I’m going to research the best prices and stuff and then I’ll tell you when we should go. With this one you don’t have to worry too much about supervising a bunch of kids, just relax and enjoy your time with A-man and I. 

Oh damn, look at you! 

Well you are amazing at it, I hope you know that. If you need any help please let me know! I can even pack bags for us to be prepared for the day. Snacks, sunscreen and all. I’m not even going to be able to contain my excitement, the three of us are going to have tons of fun. Maybe I’ll get a little confident and ride a rollercoaster. No promises though. 

I honestly wonder where all of those drawing went some days.

You really would? Well I’ve always thought it would be fun to go to an island. Like Hawaii, the Bahamas or the Caribbean

You are so on top of things! But that would be wonderful, the more family time we can have the better. Oh my gosh yes, I would love to come with you guys! That sounds like it would be so much fun. It’s probably been since last year since I’ve been to one but that was for a school trip. 

I did! I sketched out ideas and everything. I was dedicated!

CJ: Noice!

CJ: I've got a bit of a break, I've finished illustrating something for someone, and I'm always working on my own thing but that'll take awhile. So I'm probably gonna game for a bit the next couple of weeks - or at least until I get a submission.

Kat: That's so nice! What was it that you got to illustrate. It still sounds so interesting what you do. It must be so fun to get to use your creativity for your job. But I'm sure after that it is so nice to get to just relax and enjoy yourself.

Compared to any of the big cities I’ve lived in there is a ridiculous amount of fresh air over here, ha. I wonder though, are the trails as quiet during the summer? I like the relaxed vibes you get while walking them, I’d hate to see that ruined by too many tourists. I guess what I’m wondering is how busy it gets over here during the summer? 

Isn’t it amazing? I’ve been on a few during the summer and some of them are quiet. I feel like a lot of people like to just rush to the beach instead. I think it can get pretty busy but I don’t feel like it ever gets too overwhelming. In time you can learn which places are chill and which ones are the tourist spots.

Sam: It is. I think it's the doggy way of keeping in touch with your inner kid.

Sam: That's good to hear. Sunshine is good for you. At least I think I read something about it being good for you. People are more cheery when the sun shines and all that. Me? I'm good. I messed up my Rubik's cube a week ago, still trying to get it right.

Katherine: They really need to teach us their ways!

Katherine: I've been really taking advantage of my porch and backyard after work. I've even be grading papers there. I think you're right! Or at least I've heard a ton of people say it. The sun, the flowers blooming it's all amazing. Oh no! I've never been able to solve one of those.

There are! I think that would be a great idea for sure. During the summers that is one thing I’d love to do more of, just getting more fresh air!

Sam: Puppy at heart... it's his best quality, lol.

Sam: So what's new? Have you already been soaking up some sun on the beach? I swear I saw a few tourists last week in the store. So summer can't be far away.

Katherine: Quite the way to live life if you ask me!

Katherine: I have been! I try to go see if I can get some sun after work some days. It is so nice that it's finally warming up isn't it? It is so close! I'm really excited for it. How are you though?

Chloe: togetherness is a big part of that Christmas spirit! Once we figure out the plans we'll let you know. I do want to make some gingerbread houses and men and we can work on that!

Chloe: omg yes! Lots of pictures! I'll need to get a new card for my camera because I don't have a lot of room on my phone. I keep recording vids of my pets!

Katherine: That is a very good point! It is the perfect time to work together. Oh cookie decorating you won me over with that! The gingerbread is one of my favorite things to work with during the holidays. Next to wrapping presents.

Katherine: Oh I feel like I need that for any trip or big occasion! It feels so important when you want to capture each and every memory that you can.

Katherine: Now that is the tough question. I feel like I want to see more of the other coasts or maybe another country.

I’m kidding. It would be really fun to join you on a cruise and get to see the world with you. I’ve been traveling some with I was enlisted, but it would be even better with you.

You caught me! We would have a great time together. But amazing does run in the family, so you would be just as wonderful company. 

It really would be a great experience wouldn’t it? I haven’t really gotten a chance to see a lot but if there is anyone I would want to experience it with, it would be you.
