Reese lifted her hands in surrender, and tried her best to keep her laughing contained. âBy all means, let the mighty power of the dibs live on. Long live dibs!â She then went back to examining the different fabrics, just to see if she found something better suited for her project. At the joke about her moonlighting, the woman flashed Kat a sly smirk. âYou know me all too well, donât you? If you want something right, you do it yourself. Even if that means wearing a skin tight suit with a snazzy cape.â Theresa finally narrowed it down to two types of fabric, and presented it to Kat. âWhat do you think of these materials?â she asked, before addressing her questions. âOh yes. I worked with kids at Extension Office through 4-H, so I still have those connections with the youth and the volunteers, although I no longer work there. The theater is open to children and adults alike, but I wanted to start off with the younginâs first, since they know me and itâd be an easier transition from one job to another in preparation to offer, bigger, better classes and such, you know? In the long run I want the theater to be well known and even rent it out to allow people to hold their own productions there, but itâs still new, and doesnât have a whole lot of recognition just yet, so I have to take those baby steps first, and get it off the ground. As for the help, I can use all I can get, and you know your stuff when it comes to creating some beautiful articles of clothing, so Iâd be honored to have your assistance!â
Katherine laughed when Theresa started off about the dibs and quite loudly at that to make some people looked at them as well. âWell what can I say? My spidey senses are tingling,â she said, keeping the superhero theme of the conversation. âI think you should go with this one,â she pointed a heavier fabric, âAlthough it depends, if you want something that looks great go with the heavier ones and itâll be more sturdy and frame and easy to work with, but if you want something that looks lighter and have more flair when being wore, pick the thin ones, but itâll be more flimsy and slippery to sewn to,â she explained to Theresa about the fabrics. âWhy not this?â she asked, picking a cotton blend fabric with enough thickness but still light, âI think this is better, easy to handle and light enough for the kids and not too expensive,â Katherine suggested. âA theater? I didnât know you owned a theater, that sounds so fun!â she sounded excited, âJust let me know what you need, Iâd love to help, I can even use that as a material for my DIY project tutorial video.â
