So it’s spirit week at school, aka homecoming week, and for those of you non-’mericans, basically everyday there’s a different theme that you have to dress to accordingly. Today was alphabet day, meaning you had to dress up as something that began either with the first or last letter of your name. So if your name is Anna, you could be an Angel. Not only is it true, it gets worse. The Susan G Komen For The Cure Foundation has actually successfully sued “competing” charities, because (paraphrasing) their “message or branding was infringing.”

You read that correctly: they took money that people had donated to cure cancer, and hired attorneys with it, to sue ANOTHER group of people trying to find a cure for cancer, who, in turn, had to us their donated money to hire their own legal counsel to defend themselves.

I always actually feel really bad for how Hufflepuff is depicted all the time. Like Gryffindor is depicted as GOLD and scarlet, Slytherin is SILVER and green, Ravenclaw is BRONZE and blue, while Hufflepuff is merely BLACK and yellow. Like I feel the implication that Gryffindor is best and Hufflepuff is lousy even though technically all the houses are equal.

Mermaids are probably mammals, because of their visible breast tissue and horizontal tail fins.

Aquatic mammals need to have developed a thick layer of subcutaneous fat in order to survive in water. Even in a hot climate, swimming in water the whole time would require fatty insulation.

So… chubby mermaids. Yeah.
