“It’s… unusual at times.” Kathryn murmured before nodding. “Right, and I appreciate that. You can always ask me anything too.” She gave him a soft smile. While Kathryn wasn’t always happy as a vampire, she had reached a point where she was mostly content. And if people ever had questions, she would never mind answering them. A little sigh of relief passed through the vampire when he said that she wasn’t the one who upset him. Kathryn would hate that just because she pried too much about his mate. “Oh… that makes sense. But I think they already figured out that he is your weakness just from the April Fool’s event.” She murmured, still hating that she hadn’t been able to protect Rhett. Maybe she did deserve to be down here.
Kathryn frowned and looked away when he started to defend Clay. “I never used to think he was capable of that. I always thought he had been my friend.” She grew silent, turning towards the wall. “Clearly I was wrong. If he can’t trust me and thinks I would hurt innocent people, how can I trust him, Ciaran? If he wasn’t your Alpha and he was someone who was threatening me and thinking me capable of hurting an innocent, would you trust them? What if Rhett was Kai?” Kathryn hated this, she hated fighting. But most of all, she hated hearing these terrible things about Xavier. He had manipulated her so well that she couldn’t believe him capable of evilness. “I’ve known him since I was human… I just can’t believe he would be capable of that. Piper… she liked him. Maybe it’s just miscommunication? I can’t believe he did those things…” She grew silent at his words, hating this. He couldn’t have done that. And now Ciaran was growing angry with her.
“He is my Alpha though, and he has a right to feel whatever he wants. Do I think it’s fair? Not always. But ain’t gonna judge him for it, especially considerin’ the subject matter. He’s got a damn good reason for thinkin’ the way that he does, fair or not Kat. If you’d open your eyes Kat and see past your nose, you’d realize it.” She wouldn’t have to look far, there were too many people on this island that had been hurt by Xavier and would be only too willing to let anyone know just what they thought of him. Or maybe, they were to scared to, and that was why she remained so blind to things that didn’t exactly happen behind closed doors. The wolf gave a harsh laugh, shaking his head. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think ya were compelled. Ya sound about as robotic about him as that poor girl. Of course she likes him, because he made her feel that way! Wake up and smell the bullshit Kathryn, before he buries ya head in the sand so deep you’ll never get out.”Ciaran raked a hand roughly through his head, his patience wearing thin. He had too much on his mind right now to argue with someone who no longer had the ability to draw their own conclusions about something so plain to see. “I gotta go Kat. I just..can’t do this right now, I don’t wanna say somethin’ I’m gonna regret later. Just..be careful” he muttered, giving her one more look then turned to stalk off.
Lottery Tension - Kat and Avery
Avery smiled when Kathryn sighed. It sounded like a happy one, as he had hoped would happen. He’d been on the island long enough to know what the coolness of her skin compared to his own meant, and it gave him an idea for later. Something else that might help turn this rental around to the positive. “There are some that I wouldn’t mind working for, but I’d be afraid of ruining their shops. I can be a bit of a clutz sometimes and I would be worried about breaking something.” he said as he continued to knead the muscles in her back, working out knot after knot. “It’d be nice to work for someone that would treat me like a person and not just a slave.”
Kathryn just knew that she needed to relax. She needed to stop thinking about how horrible this rental was turning out and how Rhett was off with someone else and she couldn’t do anything about it. She focused instead on the feeling of Avery’s warm hands moving across her back and rubbing at the knots in her back. It felt good and the vampire started to relax into the warm sand. “What Masters and Mistresses are those? If you don’t mind me asking.” She murmured before frowning. “I don’t like how most people treat the slaves on the island.”
Drinks on the Beach
A matching smile spread across Magnus’ face when Kathryn grinned. “Guilty as charged. History fascinates me, hence the majoring in it.” He fought to keep the grin of his face as Kathryn appeared to mull over his offer, but he couldn’t keep it from appearing when she agreed. “Outstanding!” He held out his hand to help Kathryn to her feet before tucking her arm in his. “I promise you will enjoy the show. I haven’t had any complaints about my performance yet,” he said with a chuckle and a wink.
Kathryn could understand his fascination with history if that was what he was passionate about. “I enjoy art history and because of that I know a little history, but it was never my strongest subject when I was in school.” Was it ironic for someone that would live forever and see history becoming the past? Kathryn grinned up at his reaction, finished her drink and got up. “That’s good, because I’m going to have some high expectations.” Kathryn teased the man, her cool arm tucked in his warm, muscular arm. “I better be impressed.”
It felt strange, talking about what jax had done to her with someone that liked him and considered him a friend. But it wasn’t as weird as trying to pretend that Xavier wasn’t a total wank job so there was that at least. Did that make her a hypocrite, to start to forgive Jax for the sins that Xavier was also guilty of? Maybe, but Jax wasn’t inherently evil. And that wasn’t something she could say about the vampire. There were two completely different men. Jax could be kind because it was in him, Xavier..usually had an ulterior motive. “He took..so much from me that night Kat. My confidence, my self-worth. My trust in people.. That’s not stuff that you can gain back overnight. And yeah..that’s the way it goes, from what Clay has told me. He just..I guess loves me that much? I’ve been told that it’s obsession though, not love. It feels like love though, how can I even tell the difference?”
Kathryn wasn’t sure how she felt about Jax now. He had really hurt Qhuinn and he had done some things to the she wolf that he never should have done. Her mind wasn’t on Xavier though. The elder vampire had manipulated her for over fifty years that it was almost impossible for her to think any other way. But for Jax, she had never thought he would do anything like that. He had always been so kind to her. However... Qhuinn seemed to forgive Jax for everything. For now, Kathryn would hold off judgement of Jax until she heard everything from Qhuinn. “If he took all of that from you, how can you forgive him, Qhuinn?” The vampire asked, her voice soft and concerned. How could Jax rape her like that? “Do you want to be his mate?” She asked, tilting her head in confusion. “Are you actually his mate, or that he wants you to be his mate?”
Lottery Tension - Kat and Avery
Once her bikini top was untied, Avery placed his hands on her shoulders and started to massage her shoulders firmly. He figured that she could use the extra stress relief after the way this week had been going. “I am. I just haven’t decided where I would like to work yet. Which Master or Mistress I go to work for plays a large part in what job I take.” His height made it easier to work the knots out of Kathryn’s back from his position. “Well, whether you enjoy it or not will determine whether or not it’s actually a hidden talent or if the other Mistress was simply being polite.”
Kathryn was tense and she hated to be on edge so much. The vampire was more of a bright and happy person, so being in this state of mind was not a good one for her. She let out a small sigh and focused on the feeling of his hands on her back. “Are there certain Masters or Mistresses that you want to work for?” She asked, curious about the man. She felt like she had made a horrible first impression with him. “I guess we will see if this is a hidden talent or not then.”

Violet shook her head at her question. “They weren’t in an accident. They were murdered.” She replied. “I was at gymnastics practice and we got out late. The parents had a carpool going and it was someone else’s turn to take all the girls home.” She explained. “Thank you.” She replied softly.
“Oh... I’m so sorry. I thought...” Kathryn trailed off and looked back to the ocean. They were murdered? That had to be horrible for her. “I know you must not think it at times, but I think it is good that you survived.” She may have a lot of guilt surrounding her time that night, but Kathryn thought it was good she survived.

Emmanuel tuned out her thoughts, deciding not to listen anymore as she droned on about her fear of needles. People were so strange with their peculiar fears of tiny insignificant things like needles or spiders. He sipped slowly on her blood, not wanting her to get faint before they did anything fun. “It is all in how to tell them. If they are family they would likely keep your secret, you would not have to tell that many people in a generation. I am sure there is a way to do it.” he mused. He never had to worry about being too overly attached to others. “Some boyfriend.” he commented, unimpressed. “Not giving you a choice on how you will live the rest of your life. Have you spoken to him since?”
Kathryn grew silent, as she got the feeling that Emmanuel was growing very annoyed with her and her fear. It was a little sad, a powerful vampire afraid of a little needle. Growing a little embarrassed, she bit her bottom lip and stared at the wall, a little grateful that he had a vision going so she never saw the needle. “That could be true...” Kathryn murmured, chewing on the idea of ever being a mother. “If I keep it more private I could get away with it. But then I would have to see generations die.” She grew silent and looked over at him with a soft, sad smile. “I don’t think I can forgive him for turning me without my consent or letting me know before. I never knew what he was until he turned me. I stayed with him until the 90′s. Then he left me. I came home to find a note saying he never loved me.”

“And I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a vampire. All we can do is answer each others questions and shit. That’s somethin’ I’m always willin’ to do for ya, if ya ever want.” Being a wolf was something he was both very proud of and open about, he had nothing at all to hide. Even his feelings it seemed, he though, chuckling to himself as controlled his emotions. Show no weakness, not while he was in this kind of position. “Ya didn’t upset me love” he chuckled again “Just not a smart idea to show that kind of emotion while I’m down here. Kai is my weakness, he’s someone they could use to hurt me more. I’m not givin’ anyone that power or opportunity” he explained quietly.
Ciaran couldn’t help but bristle at Kat’s further explanations..then become a right bit ticked..then downright incredulous. “Clay’s no angel..but he’s just as unlikely to hurt an innocent person as ya are” he pointed out, his loyalty to his Alpha unshakable, especially when there was no reason to shake it. He had done nothing but not trust a man that he had every reason to not trust. Ciaran’s expression then turned to one of confusion. He thought vampires couldn’t be compelled, but that’s pretty much how Kat was acting. “So….ya expect me to not believe words from people that I know don’t lie…and to expect that Piper is all ‘yes master’, ‘no master’, ‘whatever ya please master’..because she loves him?” He pinched the bridge of his nose, praying for strength “Sorry Kat..I’m much too old and have seen too much shit to believe that. Ya just go ahead and do what ya gotta do though. Just leave my pack out of it….”

Long Time No See || Kathryn & Samir
Taking the nipple between his teeth, Sam tugged it hard then let it loose, matching the move on her other nipple while his finger probed her ass nice and deep. His finger was soon knuckle-deep inside her tight hole while he continued to suckle and bite her nipple. “Wouldn’t you just love that? Wonder what the rest of the class would think to know our Professor’s a little anal slut?”
Kathryn moaned softly. She was glad he had shown up when he had, her time with Sam had always been enjoyable. While his finger probed deeper and deeper, Kathryn started to move her hips, rotating her ass and pressing more against him. She wanted more. “Mmmm I might get others who want good grades. You might want to work harder so I don’t work elsewhere.” Kathryn told him, grinning and letting out soft little noises of pleasure.
The blond just kept his blue eyes upon Kathryn as she apparently weighed her options of sitting down and he huffed quietly when she sat down clear across the way from him. That was a very Kathryn thing to do, “You take things to literally, Kathryn.” He told her, shaking his head. That was a whole knew ballgame and something he didn’t think would ever be fixed, “Regardless of that, how did you think I was going to react when you did that?” Rhett asked her, his arms folded across his small frame, tilting his head a bit, “You know I don’t like to be compelled, Kat. You know that and you did it anyways.” He just couldn’t wrap his head around it. He wanted to keep ranting and raving but he would give her a moment to say her side. He could, at least, do that.
Kathryn of course heard the huff as she sat down on the bench opposite him and she turned her gaze to him with a confused look in her eyes. She thought he wouldn’t want her so near to him, especially with how he was treating her. The vampire decided not to comment on it and she stared at the ground. The words that left his mouth sounded like yet another thing wrong with her. The vampire stared at the ground, stiffening when he spoke to her. Let him continue, let him tell her how horrible she was. At his question, she looked up and shook her head. “I know. I mean, I knew you hated being compelled. But you were being so stubborn, Rhett. Your wound had become infected! It clearly wasn’t healing on its own and your hand was in worse shape. It was like you wouldn’t even accept medicine to help you heal. I care for you, Rhett. I still do. I couldn’t see you suffer and let your wounds get worse just because you were being stubborn. You needed my blood. I’m sorry I compelled you, but you needed to heal.”
