Now, this is a Katie Bishop RP blog, not a Kate Bishop RP blog, so here are some basics!
She is not Hawkeye!
She is from the 1610 Ultimate Universe, which has a different sociopolitical landscape to the comics and the films, even though the MCU Avengers are based off the Ultimates, to the degree that the first film, costumes and Nick Fury heavily take from them. But with less Tony Stark proposing to Black Widow, who's a Russian spy, her killing Jarvis, Tony having been downloading her brain into his using nanites from her wedding gift Iron Man suit, Hawkeye killing her and her sex tape with Tony Stark being posthumously leaked by Ultron as a distraction... The more I retype this, the more I expect that to happen in the films... Now I weirdly want it to happen? I guess Age of Ultron was closer to Ultimates 3 than I realised. Katie Bishop was killed in Secret Wars off-screen (in a Deadpool comic on-screen) and her universe no longer exists, (Ultimate End is set in Battleworld, Spider-Men 2 was just a cameo in my eyes and I have not started to read Cody Zeigler's Miles run. Or the Venom stuff, although from what I hear it tracks with the state of things politically in 1610. Apparently, Miles currently remembers Katie and his home universe again due to events in Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion? So, uh... imaginary Katie is also an option I guess? I don't know, a lot of comics are very clear that he doesn't remember since being moved to 616, and then some comics are clear he does, like Spider-Men 2 and (allegedly) the King In Black stuff, so here's hoping this is part of his status quo to stay now.)
This blog will be happening in multiple timeframes. Important ones include: 1: Her pining after Miles in the background. 2: During the Ultimatum wave, which she survived. 3A: Her dating Miles Morales, the second Spider-Man, during the year he quit being Spider-Man and 3B: some time when he's Spider-Man again, which is likely all on-panel, but we can find some wiggle room. 4: During Cataclysm, which she also survived. 5: Her being told he's Spider-Man, running away and freaking out offscreen. 6: Post-talk with parents. 7: The almost two days (to Miles, an unknown amount of time) where her dad has kidnapped Miles and he is asleep. 8: Pre-Secret Wars, during the three weeks implied in Hamburger Timing, see below. She likely has school with Ganke, the rest of Miles' friends and a missing Miles. Ganke and Lana and the rest likely wouldn't have been able to remember these weeks even if he was integrated into a 616 native version, because, well, she no longer exists and they were integrated around Miles. 9: Post-Secret Wars... I don't know how she could have survived. I'm going with the clear answer of "She hasn't survived.", for the time being. (I doubt she'd get Jimmy Hudson-ed into 616 with no memories. For one, she was indoors. And two, she already has a counterpart. Three, the others were moved into 616 around Miles, so clearly Molecule Man didn't like her.) 10: Imaginary her in Miles's head now that he remembers (has had time to reflect) or is lying in bed at night or something. 9B/11: Some sort of Katie Survived AU thingy that I will probably flesh out with RP happenings in a Timeline section that this will eventually hyperlink to. All I know is that however she survived, she's still going to behave like she's in 1610. I don't want her being used to whatever other universe she ends up in. 11: Divided We Fall United We Stand. I should have probably added this one earlier, it's very important. I'd make this text bigger if I could.
VERY IMPORTANT AND ALSO SPOILERS: Her family are HYDRA sleeper agents and always have been. She believes that the government are corrupt (which... Ultimate Universe, so...) and that HYDRA have similar goals to Spider-Man, that they want the world to be "fixed" and "better". Her family are not rich/wealthy and they actually love her normally, unlike 616 Kate. She also has a sister, who is called Misha, not Susan, and seemingly cannot keep a secret.
Hamburger Timing:
The age of the hamburger in Secret Wars is eight years and three weeks old. Eight years of those are in suspended animation while Battleworld forms around them. The skies turn red and the 616 Earth looms above her Earth after Miles breaks up with Katie and leaves her for dead, at the end of the issue. This implies that the construction of the life raft and Miles' finding out about it happened during those three weeks, which means there's three weeks of her possibly being alive while society crumbles and everyone hates her until Deadpool Volume 4, Issue 45, where she dies along with everyone on 616... Worst part is Deadpool in 616 before dying had blue skies and sun so 1610 clearly got the worst of the Incursion... Headcanons: 1: Katie's last comic appearance/last page is ambiguous. I personally believe that she would still be HYDRA if the universe continued to exist with her in it. Both because I think it's what Brian Michael Bendis would have done for drama, and because I think people were blinkered by 616 in the assumption that she would become Hawkeye. Is it really a headcanon if there's no way we can confirm it would have happened except for the clues given to us by her not being in 616 and what's in the text?
However I am open to her not being HYDRA in a post-final issue context. I just don't think it tracks with her core values, outlook on the US government (that the Ultimates are part of, need I remind) or her last words, given the context of her earlier attempt to explain HYDRA to Miles, and how her second to last desire was that they don't hurt her dad, which I expect they fully ignored, even without the ongoing incursion. And even if Miles ran out as soon as possible and didn't implicate her parents off-screen like her dad told him, her mother would probably either flee. Her sister is clearly full HYDRA too, but I think she'd leave as well to protect HYDRA, possibly coming back later as a surprise, because drama. And it leaves Katie as the last head of HYDRA which I honestly think she would be. I don't really think Victor Von Damme let her dad live even if the police or the Ultimates did. Maybe he used magic, who knows. Also, I don't think Katie's a fan of Dagger after her stabbing her as well. And before, because I'm still trying to figure out her possible opinions on the New Ultimates, I don't think she was her favourite. I err on the side of her wanting them to get help, I guess? Still looking for the All New Ultimates comics; I'll scour those just as obsessively as I am the few pages of the comics with Katie that exist.

**In 1610 its actually "Hydra" not "HYDRA" but I needed confirmation of this instead of just guessing, which I got after finally getting Divided We Fall, United We Stand in full. It isn't even an acronym. I might keep capitalising it the 616 way for interacting with 616 characters. I mostly did it here because I assumed people would be scanning the text for the capitalised version. And I didn't want to confuse people any more than they likely already are.
