Hayden Williams
Hayden Williams, born on the 22nd of July 1991 is a British fashion illustrator and designer. His interest in Disney princesses as a child inspired Williams at a young age to draw. Catching attention from big names like Rhianna and Beyonce, you can say Williams is a big deal in the fashion industry. His work has also been published in fashion magazines such as Vogue and Elle. His work is normally created using pencils, fine liners and markers. He tends to draw iconic celebrities and characters from movies and television. I feel like this gives us, as someone admiring his work, a connection as we see designs inspired by our favourite characters. Something I like about Williams’ work is the diversity, he doesn’t limit his self with a specific ethnicity, hair type or body shape and his work is often filled with colour and life.
Williams recently was invited to 10 Downing Street to speak about diversity in fashion with the Prime Minister’s Special Advisor for Civil Society, Samuel Kasumu. Discussing his career as a influential black illustrator and designer. I am inspired by Williams using his voice and large following for good.
