One year anniversary of the second happiest day of my life! (first was having a sister). It was yesterday actually, but Mondays are usually awfully busy so I’m doing it today:) It is always so heartwarming to remind myself of that day: smiles of the people I love so much all stunningly dressed up, favorite music, game controller as a ring holder, ridiculous portrait of me and Leo that guests drew for us, two white piñatas and dancing, happy Leo’s eyes ...I also had no time last year to share with you these portraits I made for guests which served them as table numbers. I find Sex education bold enough series, given both age of its characters and style of narration. I just love it when frank topics are presented so funny, without ignoring the serious issues that accompany them sometimes. Certainly, not for each one of us to watch, so I can’t insist. Though, wanted to bring this up, that somewhere close to the end of the first season I …even shed a tear, so touching it was! Which was sooo unlikely due to the amount of genital topics they had. Oh boy, I honestly wasn’t sure if I would buy it or not, and now here I am! uh. Isn't that amazing, that they made it both terribly vulgar and touching? Unusual mix at least for me. Eric , you deserve the WORLD, only because of you it’s worth looking further, although the second season has completely gone off the road, as for me. And yes, the COLORS and outfit style in this series deserve a separate bow and applause and whatever you want , take it , I don’t mind. Being eco-friendly VS fashion for being one. This whole climate changing movement simply makes you chose which side of the fence you gonna be on: Care/Apathy/Denial (which of these three are you?) . And once you consider any changes in your life, your entire social environs will demand the full impact from you and point out every slip-up you make. That's simply how our society works, people love critisizing! And sure,the more of a celebrity you are the more you are doomed in this. Though celebrities are often the key of getting the message across, so why not at least try to speak up. For instance Vivienne Westwood (that's her portrait btw) - british nonconformist designer, who actually did so, as many others. The moment she started to push the ideas, such as quality vs quantity or tackling the need for clean energy and so on , the whole bucket of blaming pulled on her for running the brand as part of the second largest business after agriculture. «If you care - stop your business at all», they say. Pretty stupid thing to do, when she has reached a place like that, isn't it? So,now she is reforming business policy, supporting the charity to preserve rainforests, and she is holding back her business expansion as far as I know, concentrating on quality. And of course it's still plenty of work here , but it seems to be a good start. Anyhow, me myself still reflecting if I should believe this punk lady or not. And still wonder, are her and many many other celebs' ecological beliefs have true intensions or it is just another marketing tool with a bit greener color on. Another Anna this time, but Karenina.I decided to go traditional for this one. And yes. Finally. I caught that misery look the way I’ve always imagined her to have. I was reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy for the first time this winter. And since then I haven’t found any book that immensely powerful. Truly my main book discovery after “Idiot”. We all know these “spoilers” about her suicide and you expect it to be all about this killing type of love, jealousy and revenge. Though it appeared to be not the case. To put it more accurately, it’s about the human soul, each tender, immensely beautiful and worthy of comparison. It’s about our lives. From it’s starting point till death. You simply can not finish this piece without falling in love in life you were given. God, can I recommend it even more “...enchanting her curly hair in disarray, enchanting the graceful, light movements of her small feet and hands, enchanting that beautiful face in its animation; but there was something terrible and cruel in her enchantment.” P.S At least the book was named after poor Anna, because the truth is that she was not the main character even for the writer. _____________________________ Еще одна Анна на этот раз, но Каренина. Решила,что акварель тут будет более уместна. И ох, наконец-то уловила этот жуткий взгляд , каким всегда и представляла. Прочла Анну Каренину впервые этой зимой, и с тех пор не нашла ни одной книги, которая была бы настолько мощной. Воистину, теперь любимая, сместившая даже «Идиота». Мы все с детства думаем, что знаем, о чем эта история: о ее самоубийстве, всякой там убийственной любви и ревности и все такое. На самом же деле, она про жизнь каждого из нас, про человеческую душу, ранимую , безмерно красивую и достойную сострадания. I’ve first read Anne Frank’s diary years ago right in my teenage years at my grand mom’s and found it a bit tedious to read. May be that was my fascination with Harry Potter, who didn’t give a chance to anything except for his own story. Ugh Though this summer we’ve been to Amsterdam , what obviously led me back to Anne’s personality. So now I have to admit ,the way she wrote her diary was definitely the sign of her marvelous writing talent . Such an accuracy of conveying the mood of WWll occupation all through the eyes of a child. In case you haven’t read it yet : it’s a real diary of a Jewish teenage girl , who had to hide from nazis with her family in the Annex more than 2 years without ever going outside . Its pages full of loving ,anger, rumors , deadly fear and also plenty of adorable figments of imagination . Have to read it to know this beautiful person closer with all of her traits wether nice or not. I was drawing so far my favourite blogger "Solange te parle", when I've had an awful lot of problems fell on my head. Therefore today under absolutely outline and loose work there will be a bit of a personal shit. Because my bf never reads what I’m posting here anyway which is now convenient. Ours lives all consist of choices, right? We constantly ask ourselves are we ready to live this way? Can you cope with the flaws of a person close to you? Or do you have enough will and strength to work on yours? Yes or no - each answer brings you a new puzzle piece of your life picture. ••••••••••••••••••••••• I walked into a situation which never heard of before. Recently it turned out that my bf kinda ...doesn't care for animals. No, he likes to watch cute videos and pet friends' cats at a party. But it turned out that only when we started a dog (a tiny cute and the best in the whole world!!!) it become clear that he simply could not tolerate them. I will say nothing if tell you that my heart is just ruined to pieces now. I understand that my attachment to this puppy in such a short time is a very weak word on my behalf.. but anyway. Now I was made to give the dog back, and shit it's still feels like a drilled hole inside! And it's obvious that there's still something that particularly saddens me. Not only the total silence in the flat without my little baby pup. But the question: How one can not love the attention and those eyes? How can you get annoyed by the fact that I began to spend more time on him than on a guy? nonsense. Which gives me absolutely no peace already even without a dog. Sadly but some new features can be discovered in a person even on a 4th year or even more,huh. So, is this what I dreamed about? Or did I plunge into the same tough relationships that I've once been in? For it is me who is reproached for selfishness, 'cause that was my idea of a pet, is it really mine selfishness after all what happened? And is it the proper puzzle picture of my life I'm making ? Or I dramatise. Hey, that’s what my Losers club looked like when I finally got to read «It» recently. Never late they say, though I have a long lasting particular relevance to this horror story. I was struggling of stuttering for a year r so after watching this movie ( the old one) when I was a kid. After all my folks decided to forbade me reading it when I turned 12 or so and they surely had reasons for that. By all means that didn’t spoil a bit of this reading - it’s marvellous. Have no clue how did King managed to make all of these 7 kids so meaningful and none of ‘em are less defined. «It» just abounds with plenty of wisest advices in terms of people equality, sexual identity, considering your own attitude to wealth and poverty, sloth and labour and even much more. And just think how astonishingly brave of King was to dedicate this piece to his own kids? I mean. If you haven’t yet , READ ————————————— Хэй, вот так выглядит мой «Клуб неудачников» многие из образов тут конечно же по подобию кастинга старой и новой экранизаций «Оно», но вот мои Билл и Бен не походили ни на одного из подобранных ими. Так что вот какие они должны были быть! История с этой книжкой длинная, «Оно» 1990 года я посмотрела лет в 7 несмотря на запрет, и потом некоторое время страдала от заикания. Мне было очень плохо. В 12 или около того мне захотелось прочитать её и тем самым перебороть старый страх, родители же читали её ранее и попросили пока отложить это чтиво до будущего. И я их не виню. Сейчас же эта книга оказалась чудесной. Невероятно само то, как можно вести линии всех 7-ми персонажей и не просесть в раскрытии ни одного из них. Изобилие мудрых советов с точки зрения и вопросов равенства ,и определения сексуальности, вечных вопросов бедности и богатства, лени и труда, а так же любви в её самых разных формах - всё там. Long time since I was so into this game , so I completely forgot to post this artwork.Wasn't sure if it was necessary at all, because in fact I was just trying to copy from an already existing image, fixing only some details, which seemed to look better my way: leaning of the leg and so on. Nevertheless, the result was really pleasant: it turns out that I can do watercolor almost in kinda realism. First push huh! It was difficult, but very fascinating. Well, there is only one thing, that was easy while drawing this in watercolor. Messing up). __________________________ Волна моей любви по годовару уже поутихла давно, а я совсем забыла выложить эту работу. Не знала просто ,надо ли вообще, ведь по факту я просто старалась срисовывать с уже существующего изображения, исправила только некоторые детали, что показались круче : наклон ноги и тп. Тем не менее результат меня порадовал: оказывается, могу почти в реализме акварелью писать. Было сложно,но дьявольски интересно. Хотя, есть только одна вещь, которую очень легко делать акварелью. Surprisingly even for myself I decided to just plunge in and make an entry for mermay this year so I won’t feel so behind. I’ve been super obsessed with mermaids while kid but have to excuse in advance because I think it’s kinda weird to do the entire challenge and draw the same creature each day. (ow damn, may be that’s the point to make us think more of varieties?!anyway, don’t think it’s for me) My mermaid’s name is Jenn and she is often called Jennyfish at school which annoys so much.
