Masterpost: Taylor Swift & The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Since I think the book The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (TSHOEH) helps in understanding bearding, lavender marriages and PR stunts, I thought I’d combine all the parallels I have found to Taylor’s life. Before I start, I want to point out that I could not have done this without various anons and other tumblr users (listed at the end of this post). I’m sure there are still some parallels missing, but I will try and update this post whenever I come across something new. TayLiz: A Semi-Complete Timeline
Hey guys! I do love doing research and work behind the scenes for some other gaylor blogs you might know, such as @swiftiesleuth.
While researching Taylor, I realized there was a big gap in the “gaylor timeline” as it were. People kind of just skip straight from Emily (🤮) to Dianna (✨), and write off any time in between that as the “Lost Years.” Well, I love a challenge, so I decided to dig into it.
As I did, people like @swiftgron-get-married and @mercuryonparklane helped along the way, and with their help, I was able to cobble together a glimpse into another time. A time back when Taylor was more open with her fans, writing lengthy posts about her life on MySpace. Back when she did her own hair and makeup with Liz and Caitlin. Things were simpler. And, because of that, I think TayLiz is a really good place to start when we’re looking at what has lead us to the place and circumstances Taylor is today.
I also just wanted to say I fully believe Liz’s two big relationships with men (Jason and Bryan) were real. I don’t think she was bearding or covering or anything like that, especially in the case of Bryan. When it comes to Taylor, I’m a little less certain (we can never really know for sure with either of them), but I think approaching a timeline with an open mind is a good idea, so I’ve approached this as if any and all of Taylor’s public and speculated relationships could’ve possibly been real, including the men.

Hello and Welcome aboard S.S. Tiz. This is your captain speaking. After sending many anon asks to the wonderful blog @swiftgron-get-married I decided to fully commit to my new obsession and make my own blog. I am a long time Taylor fan (we are talking 2006 myspace, kids) but a relatively recent gaylor. This is a baby blog, and I am still trying to figure out tumblr. But, I hope this can be a landing place for all things Taylor and Liz, and to be able to collaborate with blogs that are much more informed and clever than I am, to understand all that we can about the relationship that Taylor and Liz had. Yes, this ship may be out of date and long sunk, but that won’t keep us from over-analyzing Taylor’s old vlogs, sexual tension on tour, Liz’s music and of course what songs Taylor wrote about Liz!

Thanks about the Good About Her song. I didn’t know it. Do you know when it was recorded? I don’t know if you found it but I’m pretty sure there was a pic of Liz and Taylor together in a studio that surfaced around 2014-2016. I didn’t keep trace of it so I though I dreamt it but I’m sure it is somewhere on the internet. Guess I’ll stop bothering you and let you do your own research. Good luck.

As for that photo, I think you mean this one:
If so, then yes I have seen it. I am not 100% sure it’s Taylor (because I worry I have gaylor blinders on), but I have done some research into it. I first found it on the Liz Huett Facebook page and it was posted there on July 15, 2015. I’m not sure if that is the original date the picture was taken, but that would have been right in-between Taylor’s Washington, D.C. dates (July 13/14) and Chicago dates (July 18/19) on the 1989 World Tour. And Taylor had a similar haircut around that time, but in the studio picture the hair looks a little shorter (that could because she is leaning her head forward a bit) and darker (maybe because of the lighting/filter). Here are a couple pictures from the Chicago shows:
I have heard a theory that Lover was recorded or partially recorded before reputation. Maybe they were recording something for Lover, hence, why seemingly nothing ever became of that recording session. At first, I thought the picture might have been taken at Electric Lady Studios in NYC (where part of Lover was recorded), but I did some research and now I’m pretty sure it wasn’t. This is all a total crack theory, though, because I can’t even 100% say that that is Taylor in the picture.

Photos for Taylor’s Vogue February 2012 cover (the one where she let them cut her bangs) were taken sometime before her 22nd birthday at the Bowery Hotel. Here is the behind the scenes video from the shoot:
