“What the f u c k did you just say?” Valeria snarled, moving forward and forcefully pushing the idiot who’d spoken ill of the dead into the wall. She’d never been one to care about making a scene, and Adonis had been her friend; Mathieu was Olivia’s brother, and—-Jesus—–it could’ve been Jac, or Kat, or Lloyd. Rage and fear boiled over and—-without waiting for a response—-she took a page from her brother’s book and started swinging, “Keep his name out of your fucking MOUTH, you—”
Lloyd smirked as if he’d thrown the punch himself. As Valeria launched herself forwards, he reached inside his robes and picked out a single cigarette before letting it sit between his lips. Fuck a prefect if they said anything – or even better, a professor. Dismissively, Lloyd shook his head, merely watching as the other student served themselves as Val’s punching bag. “Hit her back, you twat!” Lloyd howled, now sat atop a bin with a priceless view. “Ah, c’mon…” Lloyd threw his hands in the air, frustrated. “Fight with one hand, will you, Val? This is getting a bit boring.”
Jacqueline was lightening quick. From one side of the room to the next, she came in a flurry of blonde hair and black cape. Fighting was intolerable to her and to find Lloyd and Valeria right at the center of this fight was even worse. With an ever gentle, harmless freezing spell and a swat to the back of the head, Jac took care of both siblings at the same time stopping the fight and Lloyd’s big mouth; anger and disappointment clear on her face. Casting a glare in Lloyd’s direction as she helped the younger boy up and to Pomphrey who was already waiting at the side. Jac put an end to the altercations. “Hit her back, you twat.’” She repeated, snatching the cigarette out of his mouth before releasing Val from the spell to take her hands into her own to inspect her knuckles. “I’m so disappointed.”
Being the youngest always ( usually ) made Kat the lookout -- so as Val pounded into the person and Lloyd cheered her on, she had been trying to make sure no teachers had seen their ... shenanigans. But, as always, their perfect, composed, sister came to stop the fight and Kat hadn’t even seen her. In fact, Kat had only felt the wind that had been Jac before she saw her freeze Val and hit Lloyd in the back of the head. Finally, she walked up and crossed her arms, “yeah, well, I’m DISAPPOINTED that Matt and Adonis are dead but you don’t see me stopping any fights.”
