Welcome to Aurora Bay, [KATRINA BEAUFORD]! I couldn’t help but notice you look an awful lot like [ELIZABETH OLSEN]. You must be the [THIRTY-FIVE] year old [TEACHER AT AB ELEMENTARY]. Word is you’re [GENUINE] but can also be a bit [VULNERABLE] and your favorite song is [RIVER OF TEARS - ALESSIA CARA]. I also heard you’ll be staying in [SEABROOK QUARTER]. I’m sure you’ll love it!

Katrina grew up just south of Aurora Bay, the younger of two siblings. Her brother was a typical older sibling, teasing her half the time, being her protector the other half. It was a rather normal childhood, nothing to complain about.
As a teen, Kat always complained of pretty painful periods, but in classic boomer style, her mom always said that she was just being dramatic and that exercise would help. It didn't, however, eventually Kat just stopped mentioning it, sucking it up and trying to ignore it.
Kat also did a lot of babysitting in high school for friends, family and neighbors. This was when she discovered she was pretty good with kids. Patient, understanding, not afraid to meet them on their level. It wasn't until she was thinking about where to apply to college that she seriously considered a career with kids. And this is how she settled on Early Childhood Education.
It was during college that the friends she made noticed how badly she would suffer with pain sometimes, and finally someone talked her into seeing someone, after Kat had spent so long convincing herself it was just in her head. The first doctor she saw dismissed it as just regular cramps, and recommended using heat packs and tylenol. This did very little to help Kat's mental health. And so for the next few years, she went back to ignoring it.
Katrina took her first placement in her hometown, but a few years later, she moved to Aurora Bay and has been in town ever since. That was eight years ago.
She fell in love with the town, and has worked at Aurora Bay Elementary ever since. She has made a few friends through the kids who've been in her class, which usually doesn't bother the kids since they're still too young to be embarrassed by their parent and teacher being friends.
One day, the pain Kat was struggling through became too much and she ended up in the hospital. Luckily the doctors in AB were better than the one she'd seen before, and Kat was diagnosed with endometriosis, and it was so far advanced that she was scheduled for surgery the next week. It helped, but it wasn't a cure, but at least Kat had a doctor who believed her, and would help her with a treatment plan going forward.
Kat shares her house with an orange cat named Cheddar, who is super dopey but she loves him.
It's not that Alice disliked kids, it's just they disliked her. Or maybe she just appeared to look as if she was a total bitch with her bitch resting face didn't help or a kid's intuition. "Uh sure, where was the last place they saw her?" She asked as she glanced between the kid then back to the other.
The woman didn't necessarily look like she was thrilled to be helping, but Katrina wasn't going to push the issue, accepting the help. "By the fountain, he said." It was one of the first things that Kat had asked Lincoln when she'd realized what was going on, and while it was nearby, Katrina hadn't seen the woman there. @alicexcheng
does your muse prefer receiving more practical or fun gifts?
Both! Either! She doesn't have a preference. Of course, fun gifts are always a day brightener, and Kat will definitely use them as much as possible. But she appreciates that practical gifts are very thoughtful as well, and that someone thought of her and that they would get it for her.
Katrina is very much a hugger. She thrives with physical contract, both giving and receiving. She will never turn down a hug, and finds hugging very restoring to her emotional balance.
Yes, absolutely. Katrina loves making everyone around her feel good. A compliment is an easy way to do that. Though, she never gives disingenuous ones.
Isaac looked between her and the child holding her hand, seeing the terror in is eyes. “Hey Lincoln, I’m Isaac. Don’t worry buddy we’re going to find your Mom, Alright?” He told the boy before giving his attention back to the woman. “I’d be happy to help you look. Do we know what she was wearing?” He questioned looking between them both. “Maybe she said what the plans were for the day? We can always look at where she was headed.”
She appreciated the way the man addressed Lincoln, giving him some reassurance. While Katrina herself wasn't worried, she was sure it helped the kid feel a little better. She knew Lincoln's mother, knew the woman wouldn't have gone far, and had probably already alerted security if there was any. "Thank you." Kat hummed, giving him a thankful smile. "Ah, I think he said a yellow dress?" A glance at Lincoln, who nodded. "Which you'd think would stand out, but this good weather means so many people are in dresses." The brunette mused with a lopsided smile. Lincoln then murmured something about 'books'. @isaaccalloway
“ understood “ Gavin noted as he looked at the kids distressed expression. Thankfully he had his own kid and he knew what to say or do to try not to make their heightened emotions that much more worse. “ yeah I can definitely help. An extra pair of eyes will help us find her in no time” he added before looking around. “ do we know what she looks like? @katrinaxbeauford
"Thank you." Katrina breathed, offering him a grateful smile. The more pairs of eyes, the better. "Um yes. She's a bit taller than me, quite tan, and blonde hair." Katrina had met the woman a few times at parent-teacher things, so luckily she could give a description, and would recognize the woman if she saw her too. Which was somewhat helpful. "Lincoln said she was wearing a yellow summer dress?" She recalled, glancing down at the boy who nodded. @gavin-carrigan
——- Hearing what the situation was, rafael felt a bit bad that he swore in spanish under his breath. all because he was a bit drained from doing something for work. looking down at the young boy for a moment, offering him a warm friendly smile before looking back towards the woman with the same smile. ❝ yeah i can do that. are you sure his mom is still around to look for ? ❞ he didn't want to dismiss anything and go for a security guard for it being faster — he truly wondered if his mom could be long gone or not. however he hoped she'd notice fast her son wasn't with her.
"I know her," Katrina assured him with a nod, having met his mother at school pickups and the like. "She's still here somewhere." Lincoln was an only child, so this wasn't some Home Alone situation. The pair had clearly just got separated in the busy hustle and bustle of the summer crowds. Katrina would have gone to the security station if it weren't so far away, fearing that she'd only be taking Lincoln further from his mother. But it would still be an option if they hadn't found her in another few minutes. @rafaelchambers
Amara nodded attentively as she listened to the woman explain the situation, her dark eyes fixed on the young boy and his distressed expression. "Of course," she replied before leaning closer to the other adult. "I'm going to be honest with you though, I just ran the whole quarter and didn't see one," she whispered just loud enough for the other person to hear. "So, I think the best bet is looking for mom."
She began to kneel down to be eye level with the child. "Can you recall what your mommy is wearing? Or what the last store you were together in?" she asked, occasionally looking up at the other woman to see if she understood the plan.
Nose wrinkled a little when the other woman leaned in to say that she hadn't seen any security on their lap about the quarter, lips pursing slightly. "I'm sure they're busy with something else." With so many people, it wasn't really a surprise that help was stretched thin, though the dramas that happened were usually small, like reporting a lost wallet or phone.
When the woman knelt down to his level, Katrina smiled slightly, thankful that the other was doing her best to make him comfortable. He managed to say they'd been in the drug store last. But that he'd gotten bored and gone to the next isle, only to discover his mom was gone when he came back. When he finished, Kat spoke up. "I've met her before. She's a bit taller than me, quite tan, with blonde hair." @amarawash
Joseph knelt down to Lincoln's eye level, offering a gentle smile to the boy who looked a bit lost amidst the bustling crowd. He nodded as Katrina introduced him and squeezed Lincoln's hand reassuringly.
"Hey there, Lincoln," Joseph said kindly, his voice calm and reassuring. "I'm Joseph. It's nice to see you again." He glanced up at Katrina with a grateful nod, appreciating her presence in handling the situation. "I'm here to help," Joseph continued, his tone steady as he focused on Lincoln. "Let's find your mom, alright? We'll get this sorted out." His gaze shifted briefly to Katrina, silently acknowledging her role in comforting Lincoln and coordinating their efforts. He then looked at Katrina. "What does she look like?" @katrinaxbeauford
When Joseph asked what his mom looked like, Katrina thought for a moment. She'd met the woman several times while monitoring the end of day pick up, as well as during a parent-teacher night. "A little bit taller than me, quite tan, and blonde hair. And Lincoln said she was wearing a yellow dress with flowers on it. So hopefully she stands out." Though, with so many tourists, plenty of them were in their summer flowy florals. It would have been better if the woman was in a beanie and jacket, but that was unfathomable in the current weather. Wishful thinking.
"I appreciate the help." She murmured at Joseph, because it was a little hard to search with the young boy at her side being so nervous, not wanting to move much. Which she couldn't blame him for. @josephxwade
KATRINA: This was mildly terrifying.
KATRINA: Yes I'm out of town. But a friend is cat sitting Cheddar.
KATRINA: Are you outside my place or something?
Clark looked around the little area around them and tried to spot at least one of the little mushroom fairies Katrina was talking about. He barely found one, more so just their hat. "Oh yeah, I can see the little hats now. Do you think that's all handmade? I'm sure it is here." He paused for a moment, trying to figure out if he had any favorites. "I have a soft spot for pirates, so that'll have to be my best pick of all time." || @katrinaxbeauford
"Honestly? I have no idea. Some of them look like maybe they're crochet?" There was absolutely no certainty to her statement. Because Katrina made hand-traced turkeys with her students and that was about the end of her creativity when it came to arts and crafts. "If so, that's even more impressive." A chuckle when Clark mentioned the pirates. "You didn't want to join in with them?" She asked, motioning to the fact he wasn't wearing an eye-patch. @clarkxhale
Kenny wasn't in a hurry or anything, but they were trying to get to the record store to annoy their twin, which was extremely important in their eyes. But when the woman spoke to them and they noticed the sad child next to her, it really tugged on their heartstrings. "Sure. Everything okay?"
"Thank you," Katrina breathed a small sigh of relief, offering the other a grateful smile. She hated bothering strangers, but with Lincoln clinging to her leg, it would be helpful to have another set of eyes. He was usually a pretty independent kid, however being lost in such a large crowd had to be intimidating, and she didn't at all blame him for being nervous and holding on tightly to the person he recognized. "This is Lincoln," Kat gestured to the boy, giving him a reassuring pat on the back. "He's been separated from his mom and we were just hoping you had a moment to help. Another set of eyes never hurt. Especially with all these tourists around." It wasn't hard to understand how Lincoln and his mother had lost each other. @kennyxtamblyn
What little plans that Benito had for the day were immediately thrown out as he heard about Lincoln's predicament and Katrina's determination to reunite him with his mother; Benito himself had been a frightened little boy once upon a time, so he really felt for the lost child. Of course he was going to help. "Hi Lincoln," he greeted him officially in the softest yet most normal tone he could muster, wanting to do something to express to the boy that he was a friendly face at such a terrible time. "Of course I don't mind helping," he reiterated. "Blonde hair, yellow dress," he immediately began using the small height advantage he had on the woman, looking over what parts of the crowd that he could in search of the woman. "And no doubt she'll probably be looking too," he thought out loud, though his real thoughts were that he assumed she would look quite distressed, making her easier to recognise.
Lincoln gave a little nod when the other addressed him, before Katrina thought to introduce herself as well. "I'm Kat, and thank you so much for helping." A genuine smile crossing her features, before nodding. "Oh yeah, she won't have gone far without you." Kat agreed, nodding at Lincoln, that his mother would surely be looking for him too. "I don't know if there's 'security' on the strip." She'd never really thought about it before, wondering if his mother had tried to find a PA system or something to make an announcement, or if she'd try to retrace her steps. "Hey um--- maybe you could hoist Lincoln up on your shoulders, so he can look too?" Maybe that would make him more comfortable than being surrounded by a stampede of legs. "Just an idea." She added quickly, indicating that he certainly didn't have to do that. Katrina understood that not everyone would be comfortable having a kid on their shoulders, or were even physically capable of doing so. @benitocresta
"Oh of course, this certainly isn't sharp enough." Eric grins, lopsided. It's very obvious he's only joking. "I'd totally feel a lot cooler at work if I got to use this all day." He puts the sword back on the table.
"Surgeon with the Sword." Katrina chuckled, giving him a nickname should he ever be allowed to actually go through with it. "You could just get it for home use? I think they make kitchen knifes that look like swords or something. I saw them around here somewhere." @erickxng

"Thank you." Another small relieved sigh when he agreed to help, asking what she looked like. "Yes, she's a bit taller than me, blonde hair and Lincoln said she's in a yellow dress with flowers on it." Which sounded like it should stand out, but with it being the peak of summer, there were so many people in dresses. Aurora Bay was a beach town after all. @gavin-carrigan
Alice was feeling pretty good, after winning a case and figured a celebratory drink would serve purpose, she was going to head to the liquor store when a voice stopped her. "Uh yeah?" She said, stopping in her tracks, looking at the kid then at the other. "I don't buy girl scout cookies--or whatever."
"Oh no." Katrina shook her head when the other woman said she wasn't interested in buying cookies or anything. "Lincoln here," A gesture to the boy who was clinging to her hand quite tightly. "Has been separated from his mom in this crowd. I was just hoping you could help us look for her?" But Kat understood if the woman had somewhere else she needed to be. @alicexcheng
