I think the only time Overwatch misstepped was with last years summer games boxes where they had it so you couldn’t craft the event items, but then they fixed that for the Halloween update and now it’s very unlikely you’ll get duplicates now so all in all I don’t mind the overwatch loot boxes. My issue is more other companies saw how popular these boxes were and now are testing what we, as consumers, will buy. Shadow of war to me is right now the extreme.

And that is totally understandable. I agree with that 100%.

I never was going to buy Shadow of War anyways, but the whole thing with the loot boxes in it just made me to not even try the game, at all. I’ve watched Jim Fucking Sterling Son’s video about the whole loot box thing in AAA games that are $60 and also still do SEASON PASS DLC stuff as well.

It’s just getting crazy with what their doing and people will just go “yeah ok I’ll pay more money for this game that I paid for”. I’m all for games who want to do a loot box system. But as long as it isn’t a Pay to Win type of deal. If it’s just cosmetics then yeah, ok. I can see that.

I feel like Bungie did it well with destiny 2 aswell, you can buy the cosmetic microtransactions things, or once you reach level 20, you can still earn XP but when you fill up the bar, you get a bright engram, which is the microtransactions loot thing.
