This was meant to be a quick warm up, but it turned into a comic that I’ve wanted to draw for a while. This is something that is extremely important to me, and I appreciate it if you read it.

A while ago, I heard a story that broke my heart. A family went a cat shelter to adopt. The daughter fell in love with a 3-legged cat. The father straight up said “absolutely not”. Because he was missing a leg. That cat was that close to having a family that loved him, but the missing leg held him back. Why?!

Many people have the initial instinct of “nope” when they see an imperfect animal. I get it, but less-adoptable does NOT mean less loveable. 9 out of 10 people will choose a kitten over an adult cat. And those 10% that would get an adult cat often overlook “different” animals.

All I want people to do is be open to the idea of having a “different” pet in their lives. Choose the pet that you fall in love with, but at least give all of them a fair shot at winning your heart.

Don’t dismiss them, they deserve a loving home just as much as any other cat. They still purr, they still love a warm lap, they still play, they still love you. Trust me, next time you are in the market for a new kitty, just go over to that one cat that’s missing an eye and see what he’s all about!

So a little bit ago I was cleaning and someone knocked at the door. Seeing it was a salesperson, I was irritated but I just wanted them gone. So I open the door and ask if she saw the "no soliciting" sign next to the door. After saying yes, she started her spiel. I told her, still being polite, that I'm not interested and I wish that next time she respected the sign, since I have a young kid who might be napping. She then goes on to ARGUE with me about how she "sometimes needs to ignore the signs." That's when I stepped outside. I told her that I've been a door to door sales person before and the number one rule is when someone has the sign or, after answering, says explicitly that they are not interested you need to back off. She had the audacity to keep arguing with me. The freaking nerve. I told her that now, besides being unprofessional, she's being downright rude and instead of taking my "No" and marking my house off, now I'm gonna call your supervisor and make sure that you get in trouble. Wouldn't have cared if you just did your job and left it alone.

Listening to the police radio, and the dispatcher says that they called back but nobody answered so she left a message. HOW THE FUCK DO YOU REACT TO A VOICEMAIL FROM THE POLICE?? "Hey mr smith, it's the police here. Just giving you a call, give me a call back when you can. You know the number. K thanks."

I'm honestly wondering how life existed before now. Most people aren't too bright. With literally the world at our fingertips, people still don't know basic fucking English. (In America. Same for your language.) I hate seeing people post the dumbest questions on Facebook or whatever when their lazy ass could have called someone or done some leg work instead of relying on second-hand knowledge. Dumb fucks.
