What makes this fanart great is its understanding of these two characters.

Joker holds the gun like he’s gonna shoot her (probably because he is).

But what does Harley have? The clip. The bullets. She took his bullets. Stole them. Why? Because she doesn’t trust him. She still “loves” him, but she doesn’t trust him.

How do we know she stole the bullets instead of her just holding them? Look at his thumb. He had his thumb on the hammer. He’s ready to shoot that gun, and the only target present is her. If he knew the bullets were gone, his thumb wouldn’t be there. He was going to shoot her.

He’s going to KILL her, and she’s defending herself.
