RP blog for a wacky spaz of a fandomless OC called Kayla.  That's pretty much all there is to say here.

“Wha- I’m honest!  I’m always honest!  It’s not exactly my fault I get into weird situations!” Kayla retorted.  “Besides, I’m a trouble magnet!  Incidents happen around me!  Bears loathe me!  I have an awful sense of direction… except when I don’t!”  She paused for a moment, deep in thought, staring at her feet.  When she looked up again, her expression had changed from its previous mixture of exasperation and desperation to a disturbingly smug smirk.  “Oh, and things tend to explode around me.  A lot.  Because of Incidents, which tend to happen most often when I’m left… unsupervised.  So… you could leave me alone and risk explosions, bears, cults, undead, Incidents, etcetera… or you could show me around and keep me out of trouble.  Well, try to keep me out of trouble.  Please?”

               Kaiba stared, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, as he listened to the woman and her wild explanation. Did she really expect him to believe her? Ridiculous.

              “…I’ve never met anyone who puts that much effort into their lies,” he quipped. “As long as you don’t cause any trouble of your own, I’ll allow you to stick with me. For now.” He put as much emphasis on that last point as he could. He didn’t want to be stuck with someone following him around for too long.

At the mention of lies, Kayla recoiled, hissing in rage.  “Excuse YOU!  I may be many things - trouble magnet, Incident Instigator, perpetually lost, etcetera - but I am NOT a liar!    That stuff I mentioned - life-threatening stuff - that’s   basically BUSINESS AS USUAL for me.  If you wanna be skeptical, fine, but don’t call me a liar to my face!”  Stepping back, the irritated teen continued to grumble under her breath before realizing that, just before her angry outburst, this (apparently helpful, but also skeptical) person had agreed to help her out.  That is, if she didn’t offend him with all her yelling… honestly, Kayla needed to learn to keep a lid on her temper.

“Um, wait!  Sorry, but I don’t like it when people accuse me of stuff I didn’t do,  like lying, which is definitely a thing I don’t do, except when it’s really important and lives are at stake, which isn’t the case right now.  So I’m sorry I yelled and could you please still show me around?”

"So that seems to be another crisis averted."

“Oh? Is that so? Don’t count on that for too long, crisis seems to come everywhere you step, girl.” The dragon’s cerulean eyes glinted, not so much in a friendly nor hostile way as he glanced over at the human girl.

Kayla let out a noise that was some bizarre combination of an exhausted sigh, exasperated huff and grumble of agreement as she sunk to the ground.  She then proceeded to flop facefirst into the dirt with a loud “Uuughmph!”  The collapsed teen’s hand rose for a second into a thumbs-up, her way of saying “I’m okay.  Well, mostly-ish.” without actually having to speak.  Kayla’s hand then fell limply back to the ground as she began muttering mostly-unintelligibly, with the occasional intelligible grumbles of such things as “Ihatemylife, Ihatethisdirt, IhateEVERYTHINGMMRMPHF.”

“As always, you are the incompetent child.” In a fluid motion, the high elven dragon lifted a slender, feathery golden brow in question. Being a leviathen inside a form of an elf’s was rather foreign to the Timekeeper and with a simple movement such as the movement of his brows required deep concentration  to make it seem normal and not robotic.

Kairoz’s arms folded over his robes while watching the girl with a bored expression in dull cerulean eyes, the dragon could read the annoyance that underlay Kayla’s tone . “What seems to be bothering you?”

Still face-down in the dirt, Kayla frowned at the dragon’s words.  Did he just insult her?  She was pretty sure he just insulted her.  In retailation, Kayla lifted up one hand and smacked Kairoz on the leg.  She then muttered something incomprehensible into the ground,, before rolling over onto her back.

“The universe is conspiring against me.  It’s back.  The cult is back, too, and they want me back.  Or they want to punish me for… something.  I can’t quite remember; I think I repressed that memory.  Who cares; it’s back.  I have no idea how - I made sure it was gone for good.  If this turns out to be because of time shenanigans, I’m blaming you.”
