Please enjoy the video and photos.🌸🌸🌸 There are a lot of types of cherry blossom trees in Japan. double cherry blossoms, Weeping cherry ,Somei Yoshino is the most common, while Kawazu sakura bloom earlier. The timing of the full bloom depends on the variety of cherry blossom. Ninna-ji temple UNESCO World Heritage Site is especially famous for its Omuro Sakura🌸 trees which are the latest blooming cherries in the whole of Kyoto.It is a special cherry tree that can only be seen at Ninna-ji and the trees with comparatively short trunks which is considered one of the top 100 cherry blossom sites in Japan🇯🇵. It possible to enjoy their very beautiful blossoms at eye level. My favorite flower❤😀. 【Kamezaki Shiohi Festival 】 In Kamezaki Handa-City, my father's hometown, I enjoyed the festival with my relatives again this year.⛩️🎶😄 This festival has been around for 300 years. The Japanese tea ceremon“Nodate” at Plum Blossom Festival of Kitano Tenman-gu shrines .🌸🍵⛩️ On February 25, Nodate was held by maiko and geisha. 👘✨ It is an open-air tea ceremony in which people make and enjoy matcha(green tea ) .I drank it😋. February 3rd is the day of Setsubun.The day before the beginning of Spring. People throw beans to expel evil spirits and bring in good luck and eat the remaining beans as many as our own age.👹 Also we eat "Ehoumaki" that is thick sushi roll. Torin-in Temple is not open to the public as a rule but special admission is permitted on the occasions of the 'rice and azuki bean porridge party' in January every year. In Japan🇯🇵 there is a custom of eating red bean porridge at the 15th of January and hoping for good health.✨ Traditionally it has been believed that red beans have the power to exorcise evil.   I ate red bean porridge and wish for families good health. Naginata‹long-handled sword› float is said to have the power to exorcise the evil spirits which cause epidemics due to the operation of this halberd. This is also the only float in which a live child rides and leads the procession of many floats every year. Gion Festival “Yoiyama”⛩️🌃🌙 The Gion Festival is held at the Yasaka Shrine festival where a month is held in July every year. One of the highlights of the festival is “Yamaboko-Junko” parade and “Yoiyama” (the eve ). In the evening many lanterns on the floats are lit up and festive music “Gion-Bayashi” can be heard around the area. I went to Torin-in Temple is one of the sub-temples of Myoshin-ji Zen Buddhist Temple in Kyoto. Setsubun festival in Kyoto 【③ Yoshida Shrine】 Yoshida Shrine⛩️, famous for the Setsubun festival, is located in the northeast direction from Kyoto Imperial Palace.Northeast is the direction that Oni👹 (evils and disasters) are supposed to come. At Yoshida Shrine, an important ritual shrine that purifies Oni👹 is passed down and done on the eve of Setsubun. A god with eight eyes eradicates Oni👹 and priests release a bow. It was a cold night🌃, but I was able to see the marvelous festival! Every year, about 800 stalls and 500,000 people visit. There are many different rituals in the shrines and temples in Kyoto.
