Do you ever find yourself in the position where the chores seem to be never ending? I sure do! Or what about living with someone who acts as if they are a toddler despite being a full grown adult? I sure do!Â

Cadbury Escapades
Okay, so basically I am a hard core Cadbury fan right? Like all year round I am eating their chocolate with absolutely no regrets.Â
Recently, my boyfriend and I moved in together, and we were wandering Walmart (the only store of decent size in our town) and we hit up the candy section. Well, Easter is apparently just around the corner to them and the Easter candy is out on display. So being me, I FREAKED out over the Cadbury eggs and was beyond prepared to drop $20 that I DON’T HAVE to eat these precious little bundles of joy.Â
Now my boyfriend has never really done anything his whole life and didn’t understand my excitement. He told me I could get ONE bag, ONE. I grabbed the nearest bag of those tiny little chocolate eggs and dropped them in our basket of stuff we definitely did NOT need and then proceeded to tell him for the next five minutes how amazing they were.Â
We get home and I grab the bag and tear it open. Now, we’re sitting on the couch and he’s munching on his Mike n’ Ike’s on the opposite side of the couch from me and I grab a handful of these bad boy eggs and pop them in my mouth...
ONLY TO DISCOVER THEY WERE ENTIRELY WHITE CHOCOLATE
I enjoy all the different chocolates I can get my greedy little fingers on, but I was not prepared for this in anyway and it ruined the rest of my night.Â
Education and the World Around Me
As a young girl, I often found myself in more trouble than I could handle. I had a nasty habit of running down the street to this house where three teenagers lived, but not telling a single soul where I would be. My poor mom would spend hours searching for me around the house, our large yard, and the nearby neighbors homes, at least until she discovered my not so secret hide out. All too often, my mom would repeat to me, “You’re too smart for your own good, Kassidy.” Being as I was younger than five back then, I didn’t understand what she was saying. Everyone told me I had too much energy and too large of a brain to fill, so I  brought it upon myself to burn that energy and fill my brain with experiences. I ran my mom to the point where she enrolled my in preschool for a few hours five days a week to give herself and my infant sister a break from my chaos.Â
That is when my life turned around. I had an unbelievably nice older lady as a teacher who would sit my class down every morning and tell us a story from her bible-sized story book, then take us to the church’s kitchen to teach us how to make healthy snacks. My teacher mainly focused on reading and writing skills, with the occasional math coloring sheet, but that was all it took to spur my mind into loving learning. I started reading not just picture books in my spare time, but chapter books as well. By the time I was in the first grade, I had read every single Juny B Jones book my public library had to offer. Now, as a college freshman, I was able to surprise my english professor when I told him my favorite book was The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I spend my free hours reading articles on animal abuse, homelessness, and climate change, and this is all because of one decision from when I was a child. Â
Learning became my favorite pass time over 14 years ago, and I wouldn’t change that for anything in the world. My life would be completely different had I never gone to preschool back when I was almost four. I may have not grown out of my chaotic stage until long after I began elementary school simply because I had grown too used to acting that way. I may not have gotten the grades I did simply because I was busy acting rebellious and not concentrating on my work. I may not have the ability to help my younger cousins with their school work simply because I thought slacking off was more important than learning. Without learning, I wouldn’t have the ability to aid others in the ways that I can now, and I will forever feel blessed for that opportunity.Â
I aim to continue learning throughout my entire life, yes, even after college. I do not believe there is a reason to stop learning just because you earned a piece of paper that says you have learned enough for a certain job or career. I honestly believe that there is so much knowledge in this world for every person here to learn that we all should learn throughout our lives. We should learn how to not only read, but interpret any literature we see. We should learn the facts about our environment and the different places around the globe. Learning is the one thing that can help prepare the future generations for success and greatness, not just for certain jobs or an essay that is needed for a high school class. With the power of knowledge, anyone can do anything, and that is the greatest gift any soul could receive.Â
