Idont think they do. I don’t think most white people notice the absence of people of color, since that how their whole life has often been, because they certainly never comment when we’re erased from certain narratives!

They only seem to ever notice our presence “in the story” not our absence, and when we do show up, we must be in the correct spaces set aside for us, not at the story’s center!
