I went back on my Tumblr account after a while and found this Kevin Day fanart from six years ago. I wanted to redraw it to see how much I’ve improved, so here it is six years later ^^ I won’t lie, I’m pretty proud of this one!

I'm 275 pages into cog and guys it's so good ! I hadn't plan to talk about it this early but I need to ramble a bit before I keep reading ! What will follow contains spoilers, be careful if you don't want any.

Okay so first, Lucie : she's such a sweetheart ! She's funny and nice and totally badass and I didn't think I will love her so much but she might be my favorite (sorry Matthew I love you too ❤️) She has a great personality and all her relationships are amazing, Jesse and her have a great dynamic and I can't wait to see more of them

Matthew and Anna friendship is so precious ! I like how easy their interactions are and the way they're some kind of partner in crime

Otp Matthew x happiness please Cassie just let him be happy

Suprisingly I really like Grace, she's a complex character and she's way nicer than I thought also her relationship with James is so complicated, I was ready for some unrequited love but i love this so much more ! At first I really liked them together but now I know quite sure anymore, the wedding idea was a mess and James will probably rethinks their relationship now

Thomas is an angel and he deserves the world

We didn't know Barbara for a long time but her death broke my heart, I was prepared for this but still it's hurt

And finally, did I ever told you how much I hate Charles ? No but more seriously I didn't see that coming, I was so focus on Alastair and Thomas that I didn't even thought that Charles and him could be a thing. I don't like it, and I don't like Charles attitude toward him but also toward James and the other. I know he's afraid and stuff but he seems to treat Alastair like shit and it's remind me to much of Ben in Heartstopper. Alastair love life is indeed complicated but I hope some strong tall guy will come to the rescue and make things even more complicated😉

I finished CoG and now I'm even more confused than before but it was amazing and I have so many things to say

My biggest surprise in the book characterwise was Lucie. She's my favorite character from the book and my favorite main from tsc (Emma is closed behind). She was a breath of fresh air. I just love everything about her, how sweet yet strong she is, her love for writing and her family, her relationship with Cordelia and the Merry Thieves. They're not even canon yet and they maybe never be but I ship her so bad with Jesse. I hope she will find a way to help him come back to life.

Can we talk about Alastair and how amazing his development was ? In the span of one book he started to learn from his past mistakes and grew into a better person, he improved his relation with Cordelia, he fled from his toxic relationship with the man he once loved knowing Charles will never give him the love and affection he deserves, but mostly he chose happiness and learnt how to love himself after years and years of self loathing. And don't get me started on his missed chilhood. He's the proof people can change and that they're more than what they once were. His ending left me heartbroken. I don't know what was the worst Alastair's tears or how betrayed Thomas must have felt. These two are soulmates, even their smallest interractions were perfect and showed how deeply they care for each other. I hope Alastair will not fall back into his old habits and that Thomas will find the strenght to forgive him. They both deserve it.

Speaking of bad habits, Matthew needs someone to help him before he sinks to deep and Magnus is probably the only one who can, he is estrange enough to the situation to see it clearly and important enough to Matthew to reach him. Matthew seem completly lost on a many things and his love life is surely one of them. His crush on Cordelia is a big no for me. I don't like it, it makes me feel uneasy and I don't want it to cause any trouble between James and him.

It's probably a really unpopular opinion but I don't like Cordelia that much. I think she a good character and I like her friendship with Anna and her scenes with Alastair but overall I didn't feel as attached to her as I was with the other characters. I loved her heroic moment in the realm at the end and the flashback but otherwise her pov were the one i liked the least. I feel a bit bad to feel this way and I really tried to love her more, but it didn't work but who knows maybe I will in the next book.

I had the same kind of problem with James, I just couldn't really care about him. He has his cool moments but I was quickly bored with him.

An other unpopular opinion : i really like Grace. Not in a the same way I love Lucie or Alastair but more in a 'she's quite scary and kinda bad but she's intriguing ' way. She kind of reminds me of Charles. They're both ruthless but where he will do anything to fullfill his ambition, she will do anything for her safety and well being. Their engagement was odd and she must have did something to make him break his engagement with Ariadne. She seems deeply selfish and a lot of things are off about her but I think she's very interesting. I just wish she could stop using James as she does.

Anna was the funniest. I just can't wait to see what coming next to her. Ariadne coming back to her so determined was a surprise but I'm here for it !

When I showed this to my dad, he pointed out that Matthew would probably have a fleshier face due to drinking tons of alcohol, so I went back and made his face a liiiittle bit wider. I think he’s probably right.

This is my portrait of Ty Blackthorn in honour of world autism day.

You may be asking yourself "why is it unfinished you lazy fuck?"

Well, here's why: I forgot where I put it about a day after inking the foreground, but I decided to post it myself to say that I am so unspeakably grateful for world autism day because it not only brings light to Autism, but to other neurodevelopmental disorders as well.

I am neurodivergent, I suffer from severe ADHD (which is why I forgot to finish the drawing) and the importance of reading about Ty in TDA is, for me, impossible to put into words.

I am so beyond grateful to @cassandraclare because she made the neurodivergent community feel heard and important

Support Autistic creators, support neurodivergent creators, speak up against misconceptions and get educated about autism and neurodevelopmental disorders in general
