"Swayed by a pretty face"

My concept designs for the Little Peninsula crest (commissioned many weeks ago).

I have an explanation for the upside-down lion version, and that explanation is that my higher level reading skills failed me and I missed that the lilies are supposed to be between the lion and the gryphon. Which meant that my imagination went on its merry way, and what resulted was a flip-flop effect. It was still cool, so I didn't scrap the idea.

I came up with the second, more accurate design once I realized what I'd missed. I like the symmetry of this one. Now I have two designs!

In both versions, you can find the profiles of Eugenides (lily), Attolia (lily), Eddis (gryphon), and Sounis (lion) against each of their respective symbols. I'm particularly smug about how Eugenides' scar is depicted by a leaf >:)

Phew, so that was the first week of qtappreciation that I’ve ever participated in and it’s been so much fun!!

Unfortunately I think that’s all I can manage for certain right now, as I’m feeling a little burnt out (but in a good way, like “wow, that was a Project!”). It’s kind of funny that despite all my intentions to take it easy this week, I let almost all of my posts get away from me a bit, I just couldn’t help myself 🤷‍♀️

(I MIGHT pop back in for one of the days. Think of this as a moon promise—however you interpret those.)
