Maybe this is a hot take, but I don't really know why it is, tbh. I remember how fandom culture decided this long long time ago, but... if you don't like certain things — don't interact with them.

If the thing you don't like harms someone? Sure, go ahead and spread awareness about it. But if it just makes you uncomfortable without harming you or anyone else then, congrats, you experienced art.

Because art shouldn't always be comfortable. Art is everything we create with thought and emotion. If something created by someone makes you experience a certain emotion, then this is art, no matter what emotion are you feeling exactly.

If you wouldn't want to experience this emotion anymore, you're free to block the creator. It's okay to not like what you see, hear or feel. But slandering someone just because their art doesn't meet your standard is just... bigoted, especially today, when almost every aspect of our lives is threatened to be censored.

As I said, of course, no one should consume things they don't like just to serve the cause of art continuing to be free. All I'm saying is being uncomfortable on the internet isn't causing you harm. It's just a feeling that can pass if you let it.

Just don't be mad at someone for doing something they like.

So, here we are. They were a troll.

This is a follow-up on the situation with @hagesha from yesterday.

I contacted the account behind the original post (@opssytq) to determine which sources he used to dig up all the info in his post. I had no intention to slander him or bring him down, I was seeking a calm discussion and concrete answers since I found it weird that this blog was clearly created just to expose Hagesha. She's a relatively small artist, even in russian community, so there's not a lot of people who know her and know about her shitpost tg channels. So why would they want to slander her?

They are blatantly lying about not hiding Hagesha's comments. There's always a notification if some comments are hidden, and under their latest post there's this notification. So I think, as everything else they've done, they're doing this on purpose

They told me they're not interested in peaceful resolution, so I think they didn't want a discussion or to actually try to make tawog fandom better. Yes, maybe it was stupid of me to reach out to them in hope they were genuenly worried about this situation. But I wanted concrete answers, because I found it very suspicious that this random empty acc just accused her out of nowhere.

As someone pointed out, I'm indeed a close friend of Hagesha (I'm also one year younger than she is) and, sadly, I'm a victim of the same trans person that assaulted her. It doesn't make it right to spread hate on the community that would probably bash them if they knew, and I'm sorry if my actions ever hurted anyone. I accept people from trans community and I know that Hagesha does too. Her old channels are hidden because she doesn't stand by her old posts anymore. Also, I know she would be the first person to stand against NSFW content with minors.

I'm sorry if I was too forward with some people under the original post. I genuenly wanted to figure out what people were seeing in Hagesha's work that made them think there's something sexual. Of course, she drew NSFW art, but only with adult characters. If you have any objections or examples, I'm open to discussion

Why did I suspect the op to be russian? Me and Hagesha compared the time on the screenshots, and it turned out to be that he had the time of West Siberia. I know that russian trolls can be very cruel and seek out victims just for fun, and russian tawog fandom is full of awful people. That's why some of us go to the eng fandom instead.

I'm relieved that this fandom is trying its hardest to get rid of the weirdos, since tawog fandom mostly features minors. But I ask you to be careful in the future. Don't trust strangers you meet on the internet and always check sources!

Hello everyone, I'd like to address the issue of me being accused of terrible and disgusting things and spreading this misinformation on Tumblr by this person @opssytq.

Let's start with each point step by step. Below I'll provide examples of my drawings and attach proof that, in my own words, I never draw young children in any sexual context. Every sketch and full-length artwork of mine featuring Gumball and Rob is an AGE UP AU, they are illustrated as either 17-year-old teenagers at MAXIMUM, or as mature men in their 20s.

Regarding Darwin being dark-skinned, it's true that I used to draw him as white, but keep in mind that I've been in the fandom for eight years now. Back then, there were headcanons about Darwin being dark-skinned, but there was no official confirmation. After the new season and numerous confirmations that Darwin is indeed black, I myself wrote that I would be rethinking my vision of the character, which had been building for many years. Simply because, since it's canon, it really is worth rethinking. Right now I'm not drawing Darwin simply because I don't have the energy to draw full-fledged, finished, colored art. But if I do make some full-fledged art of him (and not the black-and-white sketches I've been mostly posting lately), I'll obviously color his skin dark. I hope there won't be any more criticism of me here.

Regarding transphobia, that was the only truth present in the post. I don't promote hatred towards transgender people, but I feel incredibly uncomfortable around them, simply because I had a horrific experience in my life: I was sexually assaulted at 14 by a transgender man who was 17. After that, do you still think I'd actually draw sexual content with children? I'm a victim of this myself, and I didn't intend to disclose it, but I was left with no choice, since the Gumball fandom is small, and I don't want to be excluded from it, since I literally live for this cartoon and the fanbase.

I've never bullied or insulted anyone for trans headcanons, I've never written any nasty things directly to anyone, and the fact that something makes me uncomfortable is none of your business, to be honest. Moreover, I literally had a trans guy friend this year, so I don't direct my grievances and traumas at people, except for venting about my experience on my personal channel, where I mainly post about my personal life, and not my artwork.

The screenshots provided in the post against me are taken out of context and are also old, lost media. I lived through a terrible year in 2023 and could have written aggressive things, but all of that has now been deleted and does not represent my true opinion on anything. I am a different person now and I'm genuinely sorry for what I was saying at that time.

I'm Russian too, I studied linguistics, so I know how to distinguish between a translated and non-translated post

First of all, I'd like you to send the sources of the messages you showed. I'm Russian too and I can't find these posts anywhere on her open channels.

Second of all. I'm going to assume the arts in your post are examples of sexualisation. So I want you to tell me where, from all those arts, except for a redrawing of a frame from the show itself, you saw minors or sexualization of minors. Hagesha doesn't draw porn with minors, all sexualised drawings are explicitly from age-up au's she's made through 8 years of her being in the fandom. All the drawings I see here either not sexualized (the redrawing of the frame, the sketch with Watterson siblings) or aged up.

Third of all. Maybe you misunderstood, because you clearly don't speak Russian (at least I think you don't), but the thing where she compares herself to Ben Bocquelet is a joke. She was in the fandom for a very long time and waited for the continuation more than I think anyone did.

Fourth of all. She stopped drawing Darwing for the reason of not offending anyone with her interpretation. She even told on her shitpost tg channel that if she decides to draw something with Darwin (more than a sketch, since you showed only sketched examples with Darwin), she'll make him black.

Plus, she is the first person to stand against the things you accused her of. She is heavily against any inappropriate art with minors, against incestuous ships like gumwin which is a big problem in tawog community, and she doesn't want to spread hate, despite her views.

If you're open for a conversation, I can arrange a discord call with you in a couple of days to discuss any details, since the things you accused her of are not a joke, it's a serious statement, and need to be dealt with properly.
