Kidnapper A and B are buddies who each have their own victim hidden away in a secret location. B unlocks the cage in the corner, their victim in tattered rags that were probably the same clothes they were kidnapped in. B clips a chain to his pets collar, one that clearly never leaves their throat, and tugs them roughly out of the cage and into the room.
By comparison, A’s victim looked great. Hair brushed soft, light makeup done, lacy nightgown with pretty lingerie underneath. The shackles around one of her ankles and one of her wrists were almost thin enough to look like jewelry to the untrained eye.
The only thing that they both had in common were their bruises. Bite marks, hickeys and various marks littered both of their bodies, but other than that? The difference between the two victims was night and day. It was like looking at a prized songbird next to a neglected backyard chicken raised for slaughter.
A and B leave their toys to get acquainted, watching them through the cameras. Watching them swap horror stories about their captors, and A’s victim realizing that they could have it much, much worse.
B’s pet is barely a person anymore. The entire time, they didn’t stand up, and their knees were scraped up and bruised in a way that made it look like they almost never stood. Their voice was always quiet. Their eyes looked lifeless, but every tiny noise made them flinch.
A and their victim finally leave a few hours later. B walks them out, but not before grabbing their own victim, hauling them up by the hair and kissing them aggressively, just to lock them in their crate right after.
‘Maybe I’ll bring my toy over to your place next time. Show them all the things they’re missing’
A’s victim shudders as they walk out.
‘Aren’t you glad I’m more carrot than stick?’
A’s victim can’t wait, the fear of A getting ideas from B sending ice through their veins. The minute they get to the car, they put a hand on As arm, gently tugging him towards the backseat. They’re going to show their appreciation for him, right this very minute. A smirks as they climb into the back, lounging across the seats as his victim fumbled to get his belt off.
‘Don’t worry. While I can’t say the same for B, I definitely prefer my toys in good condition.’
