Fashion in septimus heap is so wild u have half ur characters in medieval tunics and cloaks and this one lady with python skin heels and a sailor who has been described as "piratical" and a different sailor who has braids in his hair and like beads and shit. The main characters dad has a hat with pockets in it and his aunt wears a patchwork tent. There was a child army and they all wore clown outfits
