Septimus Heap ( or two septimuses?)

I am after the first half of "Darke"...I am so afraid something bad is going to happen to my sweet boy Merrin. God, i hope somebody will finally take care of him, respect him and just be freaking kind. Septimus has an main character shield, so i don't give a damn about him. Acctualy Merrin, tho he isn't the seventh son of the seventh son, made much more work and progress than Septimus. Honestly, Darke wouldn't have had happened if only someone treated Merrin right. There were six book for that to happen, but noone cared. I am not able to hate Merrin, no matter how bad he goes.

The doodles are back Definitely more spoiler-y (especially the adult Septimus- go read PathFinder RIGHT NOW) then the last batch but it was fuuuun I hope all 12 people in the Septimus Heap fandom enjoys these cursed interpretations of everyone’s favorite characters. Lucy is my favorite :3

Ik most hc him as trans masc but lowkey I feel like him being transfem is kinda interesting tooo….

Like imagine him taking the image and title of Septimus is his only bit of control. yknow being this inherently powerful guy who’ll be able to accomplish great feats of magic with a flick of a wrist. But deep deeeeep down he knows that is not who he is. And as he keeps failing and that image slips, he loses control and can’t find himself feeling any better assuming the Septimus heap name.

Especially since nobody takes him seriously anymore now that the real Septimus heap was found…. that name, that identity that was quite literally assigned to him at birth (not quite but u get what i mean) is NOT him, so he has to make and figure out what and who he actually is

I'm just saying.

He might get better? Or worse. Abaddon loves chaos. But Merrin needs a friend. Ya, he canonically killed people with a large dragon. But he's just a kid 🤷‍♀️

I've always thought a Pokémon journey could fix Merrin Meredith, and so I wrote an entire fic about it. Think about it: he had Darke powers, used to collect bugs, and rode a Darke dragon, all of which are Pokémon types! It would also give him two things he's never had before: friends and respect. Also, I thought Corbeau would be a good mentor for him. Merrin's my favorite character of all time, so this was a blast to write.
